Baby Mae, you have no idea the gem you have in Paul. He’s not telling you what to do, he’s letting you know it’s okay to move on whatever that ends up meaning to you. It’s not a question that requires an answer now, it’s just Paul telling his girl, your happiness is all he wants for you now and in the future when he’s not here. It’s one more way to express Mahal. Guys, this is a very touchy issue, often a hard conversation to have. Don’t wait till it happens to appreciate the different ways we say I care about you while we’re still living. You're 100% correct about Baby Mae. She has natural qualities that no college degrees can give anyone. You are both fortunate to offer each other the truly important things in life money can't buy.
My wife of 30 years is Chinese and although we talk about the planning side of estate matters, she regards it as bad luck or tempting fate to talk much about death and dying. This was heartwarming. I didn't know Mae's story, and I'm glad to see your relationship is based on respect and compatibility. I've been single all my life and don't even think anymore in terms of being in a relationship, but it's nice to see an "accident" brought you two together in happiness.

Great topic Paul . I,ve been looking really hard at becoming an Expat . I have about 3.5 / 4 years tops until retirement . That will put me at 63 seasons . My heart goes out to Mae and practically all of the Philippines’ people, they often have it extremely hard. It seems you two are close, I’m glad she found a man that can make her life easier.
I don't want my wife to live alone so it's up to her how she manages her life, I'm just making sure she and our kids don't suffer financially right away. Anyway, I'm so happy about the time she spends with me and the love she gives me, so what happens later is not on my radar.

Respect bro I stumbled upon your channel , your relationship with a younger beautiful woman is not "weird" . You show a respectful aspect of finding love abroad.
Paul and Baby, My Thai wife and I are of much the same age as both of you. And not long ago went through almost the same both of you are doing now. We are settled now as to what needed to be done. I would not be surprised if your thoughts and actions are much the same as us. All the very best to you both. I can hear the rain but still hear you both.
My aunt told me when I joined the Navy don't get a tattoo. I asker her why> She said if you get in trouble (I did many times) they can identify you. LOL.
Sadly I have blonde hair. Only like 2 percent of the US population has natural blonde hair. A whole lot easier to identify than someone with black or brown hair.
I know that it's none of my business but I'm just wondering, why Mae don't go to school. She did a great job learning her English and communicating with Paul well despite she only finished 3rd grade. I truly give her a lot of appreciation for that. It's never too late to educate oneself.
Bud, you are wise enough in life to know. I was married to a woman who said the exact same things, said she would even wipe my butt when I was too old or too disabled, but if I died never remarry. Fast forward to decade later, she left me and is with another man. Great story, but I hope men have enough insights from the masses of us who believed.

I am 23 years older than my filipina. Realistically I will probably pass first. I'm hoping we can enjoy lot of time together but I have some health issues so I am not sure how long. I try not to think about it and just enjoy every day we wake up together. I worry about her financially when that time comes. I am getting ready to prepare some documents to give her some legal rights. Due to my health I am not able to get life insurance without paying lots of money for it. I would rather put money into her bank monthly for emergency purposes. I hate the thought of dying and leaving her in financial trouble. I have seen situations couple years ago on UA-cam where foreigners have passed on and the wife or girlfriend had nothing. A guy named Mike comes to mind and I saw her troubles on videos and I thought I don't want my filipina to be left like that. Great vlog Paul. Long life to you both.
I love the sound of rain. I did not get married till I was in my mid thirties. But I met this lady from the middle east and I liked her because she was smarter than me Plus she was 4 years older than me which I wanted to balance our life together. We are married now for 32 years now. Yes, we had our ups and downs but I did not dragged it on. She would never argue with me. But now as I am older, I realized that I was mostly wrong.

I think the both of you are fortunate as hell to have found each other. The two of you appear to fit together really well, and compliment each other quite well.
WOW!!! 👍🏾 YOU BOTH POSSESS AMAZINGLY RARE AND VIRTUOUS CHARACTERS!!! 👏🏽 THIS WAS A TRULY A SOBERING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING TOPIC. 🤔 PAUL, YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN, AND BOTH YOU AND BABY MAE ARE AN AWESOME COUPLE WITH RARE VALUES THAT ARE RAPIDLY FADING IN THESE CURRENT LOST AND TROUBLED TIMES. 😳 GOD BLESS YOU, AND KEEP YOU BOTH HEALTHY AND HAPPY! 🙏🏾 😇
This was great match for both Mae & Paul. The fact it happened without Paul or Mae expecting it too is icing on their cake. A good discussion to have between couples - what happens.
This is something that all couples should talk about, there's no guarantees in life except that if you are born eventually you die, every day and moment is a blessing no matter what your age, tomorrow is not guaranteed so live like every minute is your last. Respect the people around you and your loved ones, and take care of each other in life and in death, I wish the both of you a very long and happy life together. Me personally I would not want the person I love to spend the rest of their life alone, I would expect them to eventually find a new partner, that doesn't mean that they didn't love you with all of there heart, it's just that a person needs companionship we weren't meant to be alone. Good luck and best wishes to both of you.

You always have a good topic Paul. Sometimes things we've planned doesn't happened exactly as we planned. I'll say no one holds our future but when it is the current situation will let you realized what you need or don't need in your life. Having a good companion is a good is not all about sex, it's having someone you are comfortable to be with....
Great video Paul. I hope I'm as lucky as you to find someone like you have. But like you said I'm also content to being by myself. But having someone that you are compatible with is always a great feeling
I also feel when the sad time may happen I feel Mae will have lots of support with friends and you have good western friends as well as Mae's friends that will talk to her be a friend a ear to see how she is doing those times are good to have a few friends to listen to when the time comes. Support in talking I think is a huge help
Very interesting Paul. I also have a list of things that are a no go for me. Some things I can tolerate, others are NO WAY. If you don't follow that the relationship WILL end in disaster.
Paul, you have hit the nail on the head again! I have approached this subject with my Asawa and she absolutely refuses to talk about it. I am 68 and she is 44. I have taken care of things on my end to make sure she is taken care of. It would be better to have agreement on the Philippine side. I have been in the Philippines for 6 weeks, going to Dumaguete for the first time tomorrow to check out the area.
Tattoo's are communication.. if you are going to communicate something make it worthwhile.. I always stick to the photography rules if you are starting from scratch. Center is probably a good visual rule if it fits with the communication. I imagine the area of the Philippines in general is more conservative.
Just returned home to Arizona from Dumaguete. Paul, your videos are wonderful and Maye is a beautiful companion. Look forward to my return to Dumaguete. Hope to meet you. Thank you for the great videos.
I think it's very healthy to discuss dying with your partner, I think it helps when the time comes... when one of you passes away, by openly talking about it...not in a morbid way... helps the other with the grief. Thanks for sharing your life Paul & Baby Mae
Hello Paul and Baby Mae, I'm in a LDR with a filipina in the province and we have been very open in many topics. Death was discussed and she said the same thing as Mae that she would never have another mate. There is an eighteen year difference in our ages and me being 65 yrs. old I wouldn't ever look for another mate if she were to pass before me. I so agree with you about tattoos that is such a turn off to me when I see them on a woman, another immediate question I had for my girlfriend. You are one lucky guy to find such a beautiful and kind woman like Mae, May God bless you both.
I enjoyed the video that you and BMM make. Like usual. You both are awesome and natural together. I am also married to a filipina for 20 years now. I am originally from the USA. I am 70 now and no plans to return. I hope to meet you both soon. My wife and I are planning a trip soon to Dum. My wife is my soul mate. I am lucky 🍀 to have her in my life. Bless you both. Dan and Anibel paranaque NCR Manila. ❤️
My wife from the Philippines took a few cooking classes in the Philippines while I was waiting to bring her over and I wish she had taken more!! The really comprehensive course was like $1800 which I would have gladly paid for! Good chefs can ALWAYS find work including cruise ships! I really like the tie on Baby Mae, it really classes up your video!! Just sharing a thought with you guys. Always good to have skills that are in high demand.
My Filipina wife always says don't say that. I thought it was just her and she told me that she would never get another guy . I tell her that she should find someone else.. so thanks Paul for teaching me that it's common amongst Filipinas.
Hi Mae and Paul it's Your friend Ray from California, I appreciate your Insight and Honesty. This subject is unavoidable and needs to be addressed in any relationship. Grate Job and GOD BLESS YOU BOTH 😇🙏😇
I think it's difficult to ask someone who loves you to determine what they may do if or when you pass on. I think even with your blessing most people do not want to think that it may happen. I'm totally with you on the tattoos Paul. 🏝️
I feel the same way You do, Paul. I enjoy my own company. If my Wife passed before me, I would not look for another partner. I would stay with my boys in the Philippines. I would tend the farm and visit my Wife's family on a daily bases. I Love the rain. And I Love being outside with the rain. As long as there is tree cover or patio. ❤ 🔻 🙏
Paul: Such an important topic to discuss with your partner no matter what the age gap is. I know from personal experience what it's like to lose a partner in the final way. While we were both still in high school, my girlfriend of 3 years was killed by a drunk driver. We were young, but we were very much in love with each other. We made plans to get our careers going and our finances set before taking the vows. We complimented each other like bookends. After her funeral her parents asked me the same question. Would I date again? I replied that the future is not set, and there is a long way to go before my journey is over. At some point I would date again, but it would take a very long time to find someone as special as Nikki. I have dated since then, but never married, because I could never find someone who made me feel anywhere close to the way Nikki made me feel for any length of time (more than a couple months). Still hopeful, still looking, but with the way western women are acting lately, it's not worth the effort. One of the reasons I really want to go to the Philippines, the women there know how to be humble, kind, and selfless. It happened 36 years ago this July, and when I am down and feeling a bit depressed, I think about the wonderful time I had with a very special person in my life. And it cheers me up and gives me hope that someday I may find another special person to share the rest of what I have left of life.
Baby Mae, Sir Paul really loves you & worried about your future. He wants you to be happy & move on . But honestly, Mae, you're lucky to have Paul & wishing that you're always be by his side at his own sunset. As of now, no one knows how long you'll be together, just enjoy the beauty of life, the beauty of love.
We are social creatures not meant to be alone. Emotional response, but yes Paul she has a lot of years ahead of her, and you will be a picture on the wall.
Blessing Paul and baby Mae, I hope you both have a long and happy life together, the two of you make my day everytime I get to watch your channels. Wishing you a happy birthday Paul 🎂. Well that's all this old monk has to say other than may God bless and keep you.
I don't think she wants to hurt your feelings she's a sweet young lady. It would be ridiculous to even desire for her to be alone to young to live out her life with no one to love or be loved. She will still have great memories of you sure you've told her a lot in life things and perception she will continue to use.🌄🦍
Great Video Paul and Baby Mae ❤️. Excellent topic 👍. I really look forward to your videos 📹. Helps me me get through this stagnant times here in the states. Can't wait to get there. Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎊 to Baby Mae's accomplishments for her Subscriber's 💖 ❤️. Stay Safe 💕 💞 🙏 🙏
I lost my wife 4 years ago this coming April. She was Asian we were together over 43 years All I can say is that I am lost,. The 4 walls in my house and I have become best friends. I am happy for both of you.
@Bill...I can't begin to comprehend your loss, but I know that your wife would want you to continue on living and enjoying life! Please be sure you don't lock yourself up in your house as that is no way to live life. Best to you!
It's sad to hear, but also great that you were able to share decades together. Please don't think there is no happiness in the future, please stay active and healthy and see all the small good things in life and perhaps there are other brighter chapters in your future.
Paul, It is great to see that you and Baby Mae are having this important conversation about this subject. My beautiful and loving traditional wife of 30 years and I had these same conversations during our marriage. She told me that should I pass before her, she has no plans or desire to date or marry again. I would laugh when she would tell me that she does not want to cook, clean or do laundry for any other man but me. She was the greatest wife ever! Sadly, I lost her in 2016 to a brain tumor and I am holding the same promise to her that she gave to me. I have no desire to be with anyone else or engage in a relationship as a commitment to her and our marriage. My only plan is to live out my life with our wonderful memories together until I see her again beyond this life. I know in my heart that she will be there to greet me and be together, this time forever. I commend Baby Mae for her decision and I plan to do the same for my beautiful wife. May God continue to bless you both with many more years of love and happiness.
Would be interesting to broaden the topic to all men and women in the Philippines... It's probably much more uncomfortable as a subject the closer people are. I would think some questions are do you think she would be taken advantage of when you are gone . The intricacies of Philippine law exc exc.
I have the same exact conversation not just with my wife but also my step daughter. So i had a WILL made up. It helps her and step daughter to recieve life insurence. Everything we own i left i her name that way she doesnt need to worry about changing it if something happens. The condo the car the bike all of it. My bank account will be released to her also. There is instructions on if i died first. I will be cremated, there will been no viewing for 7 days. And if she dies first i will take care of her daughter and support her as if nothing happened. We have been together for 7 yrs and i have to tell you i have been the luckiest man alive. Paul and Baby Mae i really love your Blog. Also Baby Mae even though you didnt graduate School you have a education in survivile. Better then a Bachlor Degree, a education in Life. Great job both of you
Paul, you and I are of a similar age (I turned 68 in August last year - happy cake day, BTW). Between you and Pea, I get a pretty good, honest glimpse of what to expect if-and-when I move to PI. I was there waaaaaay back in the 70's when I was in the Navy (the day I got off base was the day Marcos Sr declared martial law) and I fell in love with the country and the people - well, what little of the country I got to see back then. Travel by American sailors at that time was frowned upon due to political circumstances. The only thing I ever had difficulty adjusting to was the crushing poverty, which is still very much there. Some of the stories I'm getting from women are just heartbreaking. I chuckled when I saw your video as this is a conversation I do try to have right up front, especially when someone more than 25 years younger than me contacts me on a dating site. I want to make sure they are working in some way, shape, or form, and have a career so that I am not constantly worrying about how they will survive should something happen to me (I've got good genes and can pretty much expect to live into my 90's if I eat healthy(er), but I don't want them lapsing into poverty once I'm gone. I'm most especially worried when a 30-something messages me on FilippinoCupid and really starts pushing for a relationship. My own qualification list is that they are either; Employed; have a degree from a vocational college or a bachelors or; own their own business. I let them know up front that I want them to have financial independence from me. It's turned more than one of them off, but that's probably a good thing. We also seem to agree on tattoos. I was once asked by my son (when he was still in high school, he's 41 now), why I "didn't get a tattoo in the Navy." I told him it was because a.) They could never get me drunk enough; b.) I couldn't find a tattoo that I wouldn't think looked stupid on me 'when I turned 50' and; c.) because I have a fear of needles. If I can't stand to have a phlebotomist stab me once with a needle without getting queasy, I'm CERTAINLY not going to want to be stabbed 10,000 times with one! But, as I recall being told in my youth, the reason for getting tattoos was to hide the bruising from an abusive relationship. That may or may not be true, but it stuck with me and I really don't understand Tats. Too permanent. Piercings, you can take out when you are tired of them. Tats are for life. I think it was George Carlin that said something along the lines of, "That picture of a rising sun you got on your lower back in your twenties is going to look like an insane octopus trying to escape from your ass when you're fifty!" Well, when I get there, I hope to visit your city and perhaps have that proverbial brew with you, my friend!
She’s just saying what she thinks he would want to hear lol. Most Filipina women are like that because they don’t want to lose the wallet. That’s more like a father daughter relationship. Filipinas will marry anytime for money/stable housing food
At least they'll respect and appreciate unlike masculine western woman. Please it's not even close...
Well if they're happy, what's the problem?
Baby Mae, you have no idea the gem you have in Paul. He’s not telling you what to do, he’s letting you know it’s okay to move on whatever that ends up meaning to you. Respect bro I stumbled upon your channel , your relationship with a younger beautiful woman is not "weird" . You show a respectful aspect of finding love abroad.
Paul's eye is getting wet, the very moving moment for both of you. Grateful and true love is worth a million.
LOL.
That’s why I never got one. Lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Sadly I have blonde hair. Only like 2 percent of the US population has natural blonde hair. A whole lot easier to identify than someone with black or brown hair.
Mae is a fantastic woman! I have nothing but the utmost respect for her. Kudos to you both! Such a great example of coupledom done well!
It always warms my heart to see how much you two love each other.

Thank you very much
I am 23 years older than my filipina.

If Mae stays as smart, humble and kind as she is now, whatever she will do in the future I'm sure Paul would approve.
I think the both of you are fortunate as hell to have found each other. The two of you appear to fit together really well, and compliment each other quite well.
Good one Paul. They are more likely to stay single than we are. It’s a testament to their character.
I love this Swinging Grandpa....Go for it Old Timer...
Don't worry about it, you aren't going to croak Old Man, maybe get sick.?..Enjoy the High Life while you can .....
WOW!!! 👍🏾 YOU BOTH POSSESS AMAZINGLY RARE AND VIRTUOUS CHARACTERS!!! 👏🏽
THIS WAS A TRULY A SOBERING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING TOPIC. 🤔
PAUL, YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN, AND BOTH YOU AND BABY MAE ARE AN AWESOME COUPLE WITH RARE VALUES THAT ARE RAPIDLY FADING IN THESE CURRENT LOST AND TROUBLED TIMES. 😳
GOD BLESS YOU, AND KEEP YOU BOTH HEALTHY AND HAPPY!

Baby Mae is an absolute angel / sweetheart. You are a very lucky man sir.
Great topic guys. Baby may looks cute in her outfit. :)
Nice video guys! ❤️ Smilies for miles on this one! 😊👍🏻
Thanks so much! 😊
@@paulinthephilippinesolddog9234 welcome my friend. Take care of each other guys and keep smiling!
Such beautiful words by the both of you ❤️ you guys make a great couple, wishing you both a looong happy life together❤️
Very interesting Paul. I
also have a list of things that are a no go for me. Some things I can tolerate, others are NO WAY. If you don't follow that the relationship WILL end in disaster.
Don't worry about it Paul, your will live for ever, just like me......🙂
All I have to say is, God bless the pair of you and may you both live for many more years together in happiness.
I'm glad you two are not breaking up but I am glad you've talked about what happens.
If one you is gone someday it shows you care about each other.😊👍
Just returned home to Arizona from Dumaguete. Paul, your videos are wonderful and Maye is a beautiful companion. Look forward to my return to Dumaguete. Hope to meet you. Thank you for the great videos.
Another great video with content that everyone can relate to… thank you both
I think it's very healthy to discuss dying with your partner, I think it helps when the time comes... when one of you passes away, by openly talking about it...not in a morbid way... helps the other with the grief.
Great subject! Good Job!
Very good chat thank you Paul and Babe Mae
It's nice to watch your videos and listen to your stories Paul, God bless you and Mae.
Pragmatic Baby Mae and Simple Elderly Paul. Interesting relationship that seems to work for both👌
My Filipina wife always says don't say that. I thought it was just her and she told me that she would never get another guy . I tell her that she should find someone else.. so thanks Paul for teaching me that it's common amongst Filipinas.
Good video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mae and Paul it's Your friend Ray from California, I appreciate your Insight and Honesty. This subject is unavoidable and needs to be addressed in any relationship. Grate Job and GOD BLESS YOU BOTH 😇🙏😇
3:25....Baby Mae..is such a Big slice of "Humble Pie"......(got to Luv this human being).....Paul....you know what to do. 🖖✌️🫰
Thank you guys always enjoy
When Baby Mae asked, "Now how about you?", I knew things were about to get interesting.
Thank you Paul and Mae. Always enjoy your videos. Hopefully many years ahead for you guys but great discussion to have with your partner.
You are both inspirational Paul and Mae. Mae is self educated, her intellectual level is college level 🙏🏽
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are such a sweetheart Paul, enjoy life, take care and Mae.
Great channel 👍🏼
Thank you! 👍
Always insightful, thanks Paul!
I think it's difficult to ask someone who loves you to determine what they may do if or when you pass on. I think even with your blessing most people do not want to think that it may happen. I'm totally with you on the tattoos Paul. 🏝️
HEY PAUL. THE LEANING TREE DON'T ALWAYS FALL FIRST. 😁✌🏾🤠

🙏
Great video..Paul and Baby Mae. Greetings from the cold winter of Spain.
This is one of the most beautiful and impressive videos i have ever seen. Thank you for this!
Thank you too!
Paul and Baby Mae, you are a cute couple with respect for each other. Wishing you many happy years together
I hope whoever is left continues to make UA-cam videos ❤️❤️❤️
Paul:
Such an important topic to discuss with your partner no matter what the age gap is.
That’s a nice story
BABY MAE AC/DC ROCK ON 🤘 ALWAYS ENJOY YALLS CONVERSATIONS ❤ PAUL YOUR A LEGEND 👏👏👏
Love Baby Mae's outfit. Glad you mentioned it.
You found a wonderful woman, Paul. The story about her childhood was very endearing.
You hit the jackpot with this wonderful woman !!!
Love your videos 🙂 Paul and Babies Mae 😍💓
Didn't know you returned from Thialand subscribed again today
Great Video Paul and Baby Mae ❤️. Excellent topic 👍. I really look forward to your videos 📹. Helps me me get through this stagnant times here in the states. Can't wait to get there.
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎊 to Baby Mae's accomplishments for her Subscriber's 💖 ❤️.
Stay Safe 💕 💞 🙏 🙏
Excellent!
I lost my wife 4 years ago this coming April. She was Asian we were together over 43 years
All I can say is that I am lost,.
Thank you all for your replies, it tried dating 3 times 2 years ago, not for me
Good Video 👍
I hope you will get a dog or even a cat, they are wonderful companions.
you are lucky couple Paul and Mae 👍👍👍
Great job both of you
Really good video from both of you!
I'm amazed at Baby Mae. 👍🏽
Paul I agree with you. The only tattoo I ever saw that touched me was a baby’s footprint over a woman’s heart. Her baby died shortly after birth.
I have to admit, I would make an exception for that. Very touching.
I think it was George Carlin that said something along the lines of, "That picture of a rising sun you got on your lower back in your twenties is going to look like an insane octopus trying to escape from your ass when you're fifty!"
Well, when I get there, I hope to visit your city and perhaps have that proverbial brew with you, my friend!
