So many memories! This game has a very eerie and mysterious atmosphere i absolutely love. You felt like anything could happen at any time. This is the first open world game i ever played, it blew me away at the time. I always hated the mandatory tutorial sessions though.
I doubt it, I don't mind it myself and wish I'd actually played it but I was out of the loop for years with Mortal Kombat after Deadly Alliance which I never ended up really playing much of and only owned once. But I think if it was to return it would have in Mortal Kombat X unless people speak up and NeatherRealm see that it's popular enough to make a return then they won't bother. It seems they're really going with this classic style game play with awesome up to todays standards graphics and a movie like story mode.
Two things I like to do while I'm leveling my Diablo II's character to lvl 99: 1- listening music. 2- listening to any of GSTAR's playthroughs, specially this one. Chill and quality time

I remember playing this when I was 9. Some of these missions, such as the sick boy(i failed to give him the medicine before 8 p.m. and he apparently died) and scaring the old man, giving him a heart attack scared the heck out of me.
I have so much nostalgia for MK Deception mainly due to this mode. When I first played it, I had low expectations but was overwhelmed by the amount of depth was put into it and spent a surprising amount of hours just running around a atmospheric single player campaign. God I hope Netherrealm brings this mode back for MK 11.

That would be true if the A.I. wasn't FUCKED, and not forced to spam the same special move instead using normal tactics(Watch his 2nd playthrough of MK Trilogy or any of the first three MK games).
Even MK: Armageddon konquest felt flat and not as open as MK: Deceotion/Unchained and that was back in 2006/2007 AD era. Maybe a reboot or remake of MK: Deception, Armageddon or even Deadly Alliance will give the series a much needed jolt of energy but I very much doubt that it will happen before 2040/2060 AD.
@ 50:20 "Only monks allowed in temple". As you probably already know, there is a training segment with the spirit of Liu Kang who will only appear following completion of the Konquest mode when you return to the Earth realm. After completion of said training, it may be possible to enter the temple.

I don’t understand why they never did another Konquest like this. It was awesome and so much fun to explore all the realms and find collectibles. They had a good foundation for a new type of Konquest and the very next game they abandoned it.
Well I hate to correct you 3 years later (But someone has to do it) They did do another konquest like this one in the next 3d mortal Kombat game the follow up to this one mortal Kombat Armageddon. Though they put way to many characters in that game and the only reason i say that is because they got lazy and didn't add unique fatalities
@@kennel878Xx it had another konquest but was a downgrade. It was extremely linear and often you’re stuck on a single path. Deception was more open world allowing exploration of each realm. Plus the story had the better campaign with a longer narrative, and good side quests.

With the biggest change being your stuck on a linear path there's not really any open world exploration of the realms like in deception. I think the reason they did that though was because that was the biggest/best concept of konquest and they wanted to push that the most/maximum

I actually liked playing as old shujinko and wish he had a different fighting style for every growth development he goes through in the konquest. But his character development was so awesome and fun. To play him as a young teen to an old man and the unexpected that you’re not helping the Gods. I was so blown away as a kid when that game came out. Non the less I enjoyed Armageddon too. It was also real fun creating a custom character.

MK Deception is the first mk game with decent konquest mode. I really love it! So many characters were in (some of them weren't even playable in Deception). Tanya was the hardest rival when I played it. I love this game so much
I always wished shujinko had options for his fighting style and look based on how you chose to finish conquest mode. I figured the profile feature was to save your progress in the conquest mode. So why not have shujinko be kind of like a fable character that adjusts his appearance and special moves based on how you complete missions and who you decide to train with. Then when you finish the game, you have a special character that you made. I know the game was already big enough but imagine it.
Never played MK Deception before but you make it sound awesome, I've played MK Armaggedon though and I loved the conquest etc. Earned a new sub keep it up
+Shoaib Dayaji I thin Deception's Konquest is better because it's longer I think and more open instead of the linear konquest in Armageddon. I'd recommend finding a way to play it!
The Konquest mode as a free RPG was actually a very good feature. Armageddon became more like Sholin Monks (with a forced storyline) I love with what they did with MK 2011 and MK X too, a storyline based arcade game. But this RPG was the best!
I've spent countless hours on this game because of konquest!! My absolute favorite. I think i've expored just about every inch of every realm, and unlocked 80% of the treasures without looking up the super hidden ones on google lol

MK Deception is the first mk game with decent konquest mode. I really love it! So many characters were in (some of them weren't even playable in Deception). Tanya was the hardest rival when I played it. I love this game so much

I always wished shujinko had options for his fighting style and look based on how you chose to finish conquest mode. I figured the profile feature was to save your progress in the conquest mode. So why not have shujinko be kind of like a fable character that adjusts his appearance and special moves based on how you complete missions and who you decide to train with. Then when you finish the game, you have a special character that you made. I know the game was already big enough but imagine it.

Never played MK Deception before but you make it sound awesome, I've played MK Armaggedon though and I loved the conquest etc. Earned a new sub keep it up
+Shoaib Dayaji I thin Deception's Konquest is better because it's longer I think and more open instead of the linear konquest in Armageddon. I'd recommend finding a way to play it!

I remember when I was little I always tried getting past the invisible barriers in the village.
The Konquest mode as a free RPG was actually a very good feature. Armageddon became more like Sholin Monks (with a forced storyline) I love with what they did with MK 2011 and MK X too, a storyline based arcade game. But this RPG was the best!
I've spent countless hours on this game because of konquest!! My absolute favorite. I think i've expored just about every inch of every realm, and unlocked 80% of the treasures without looking up the super hidden ones on google lol

It's super nice to see this again, I came back after another two years. I been gone for 2 years, came back, then left for another 2 years, and now im back again. You are my childhood, thank you for making videos, you are really awesome. 2025: I'm back and I'm planning on finally getting MK Deception man, I already have a PS2 and I'm going to get one when tax return comes in. I returned in 2024 but I didn't edit the comment since I didn't have anything new to say.
