He had to stop a concert one night. He was singing this song , people were hurling quarters at the stage. Got hit in then forehead and started bleeding
"Here's a quarter, call someone who cares." was sort of a common expression/put-down back before cell phones, when to make a call outside, you had to find a pay phone. They wrote this song around the expression.
What do you get when you play a country song backwards??? You get your house back, you get your truck back, you get your wife back, you get your dog back........
Travis Tritt is awesome!!! I saw him in concert znd the first 45 minutes he sat on a stool with just his guitar and played requests!! During a concert!!! Another great artist and song is "Pure Prairie League" singing "Amie" please react to this, you'll love it!!
Travis and Marty Stuart used to call themselves the no hats because most of their contemporaries ( George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, etc.) all wore cowboy hats. This is my favorite Travis song thanks Tasha.
Hi, Tasha. I hope y'all are having a good day over there in Georgia. Things are good here in Texas. My favorite song of Travis Tritt's was always Country Club. This one is good, too. I'm glad you liked it.
They finally put barrels outside for you to put your quarters in he donated it to American vet. I saw him everytime he was in Charlotte NC. He married a waitress that worked at the Hooters in Charlotte.
@@tashajackson i’ve got another one for you. It’s not a cheating song or anything like that. Confederate railroad….. Daddy never was the Cadillac kind. You might need your tissues on this one.
I’m old enough to remember pre-cellphone era. My dad was a computer nerd, we had way more “technology” than most, he even had one of those suitcase cellphones. I think I was 15 or 16 when I was given my first phone, but it was one of those old “brick” phones. I like my phone, but I’m aware of how to live without it.
I usually watch and bounce but you talked me into dropping by and saying hey. If you get the time please do a video on More Than You'll Ever Know by Travis. That song is a beautiful love song with a beautiful video and I think you'd really enjiy it.
Hey Tasha, been watching on and off for a bit now figured now is a good of a time as any to suggest something. I think more people need to be exposed to the band Nickel Creek, no one reacts to them and I think that is a shame. They are a bluegrass band I love these songs: "The Fox" the live version, "The Lighthouse's Tale" "When in Rome", "Spit on a Stranger", "When You Come Back Down", "Out of the Woods", "Green and Grey", "House Carpenter", and "The Hand Song". Instrumental wise some good songs are: "The House of Tom Bombadil", "Smoothie Song", "Scotch & Chocolate", "Cuckoo's Nest", and "Robin and Marian". Honestly though you have to just listen to everything they made as a group.
This song is based on a true event where his 2nd wife tried to reconcile. He took both his wedding rings , had them melted down and wore around his neck for many years as a reminder
"The Whiskey Ain't Working" a duet of Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart, another suggestion is "Lord Have Mercy On The Working Man", either would be good for Friday.
This is a true story...on the same day Travis was served with divorce papers, his soon to be ex called him on the phone to reconcile. He was like 'Nah, to hell with that' lol
i see him sunday in concert! it'll be just him and a guitar. the last time i saw him 4 years ago at the end of the song he said "here's an iphone call someone who cares" lol. where do you have your playlist? is it spotify or youtube or something else? and how do you organize it with all the new music you are discovering?
It’s on UA-cam but not quite organized enough. I’ll be making a spotify playlist too. Thanks for reminding me, I’ll post in the community when it’s up. Have fun at the concert. Hopefully the live won’t be blocked so you can watch the playback. If not it’ll be on Patreon.
Hey Tasha! I was there Sunday & there was nothing that should have shut you down. These two video are good for a laugh; Ashton Shepherd - Look It Up Shedaisy - Little Goodbyes.
Did I just hear little Ms Tasha say "here I am talkin' like I'm old" referring to all of us elderly folk that didn't start off our long l o n g lives without cellphones? Younguns these days. No respect! No respect at all!! 🙃
Love! Tell her Travis!
Travis! Thank you Tasha.
You’re welcome ☺️
Travis Tritt's trilogy is great, "Anymore" ,"Tell me I was dreaming ",&" If I lost you". If played in that order you have a little movie.
YES!!!!!!! Just type in travis tritt trilogy and it will all be in order for you put into I watch. 1 beautiful live story told in 3 videos
Yes please
Love that trilogy
love me some Travis Tritt
There’s a change a-coming!!! 😝

Jaron and the long road to Love...I Pray for You.
I saw Travis live a few months ago opening for Brooks and Dunn, he’s still got it. One of the best true country voices.
Another good one is Country Club by Travis Tritt
You should hear a song by the Wilkerson's called 26 cents. It also involves a quarter but it's precious.

Hello from Ken from CUT AND SHOOT TEXAS😀😃🤪
Travis and Marty Stewart do awesome duets.
The No Hat Tour
yea there was a brief time where when ytou seen one, you seen the other. They were always doing songs, shows, and interviews together.
After this song came out people would toss out quarters to Travis onstage at his concerts. One time he got nicked in the eyelid by a flying quarter.
Ouch! lol
In Bristol VA I think

Hey Diane! Yes he is
That was great!! 😂 Thanks Tasha!!
Thanks Pa!
What do you get when you play a country song backwards???
You get your house back, you get your truck back, you get your wife back, you get your dog back........
Tritt had a small fued with Billy Ray Cyrus back in the day. Tritt threw shade at Cyrus' breakout song "Achy Breaky Heart".
Saw Travis at a county fair and when he sang this song, he threw quarters into the audience. it was funny and a good time!
back when this came out pay phones where a quarter
👍👍

we can hold a grudge and keep it real to.

When this song came out the fans would throw quarters on stage and would sometimes hit Travis
😂😂😂Terry just mentioned that. That had to have hurt
They finally put barrels outside for you to put your quarters in he donated it to American vet. I saw him everytime he was in Charlotte NC. He married a waitress that worked at the Hooters in Charlotte.
I have always thought that would be be best homeless person sign "Bet you can't hit me with a quarter." lol
