This DLC actually came out last month, but was very under the radar. The campaign is short and sweet, about 3 hours. But never feels like there's any filler. It's an especially good deal since it's on Game Pass, along with Gears 5. If you get a chance to check it out, I highly recommend it.

My favorite character would have to be Keegan because of who his voice actor is. If you don’t know he’s the same guy who voiced Lee Everett from the walking dead tell tale game

Evolution on that planet needs to calm its tits. The Locust, Imulsion, the Swarm, they were bad enough, but the Wacky-Bird? A giant green hummingbird-octopus with two tongues, multiple wings, split jaw (I think, hard to tell), which can fly, burrow, spit acid, AND let off hallucinogenic farts. Australia on a high-octane acid trip.

Fun Fact: Originally Cole’s Daughter Hana was going to be originally in the actual gears 5 campaign at some point of the game but she was removed from the campaign because they were changing a bit of the plot of the story and instead had Hana in the Hivebuster campaign
Hana was replaced by Fahz Chutani.

I think that is why I like about the new trio. They give respect to the older characters compared to the main trio.
Seeing Kegan do that, elevated my appreciation toward the character.
not going to lie the main characters like Kat and Del were too much like spoiled emotional teenage brats.
I remember when this game came out me and one of my best friends named dirt this puker dude we would play this game until the sun would come up online.. he got to make it till they came out with the second game and then his parents kicked him out he was sleeping in an abandoned house and then somebody set it on fire,he never made it out.I never went to the funeral cuz the last time we hung out we played gears of war II and then went to di a punk show and partied it's good times so that's way I'm going to remember it because it's gears of War.... A brother is never forgotten or lost he's right there in the game

How the hell is this better than the entire gears 5 main campaign????
It doesn't have insufferable characters or a tedious open world. I just hate how the game doesn't place you at the point you last left off.
It's not about some moody emotional character who no one ever wanted to play as and her back story in an open world where it should be a nice clean linear playthrough. It's about a rough and tough big stron man and his squad going in to do nothing but kill grubs. Thats all. And who would've thought. It works. It's the charm of the first 3. Unwinnable odds and a small squad in a tight clean linear playthrough.

Love this dlc a lot. Brash brigade DLC or a book would be so awesome! Taking part on these hunts. Going into the deepest corners of sera to hunt these locust remnants. Also that means some locust can still be chilling. Cause how do you decide that you got them all. Be cool if we got a scene like the bridge scene from gears 3 in gears 6. Where there’s small pockets of locust fighting both the swarm and cog :3

Something I fantasized about was the Theron Guard Jermad took a leadership role of the Locust Remnants. It would be fulfilling RAAM's praise to Jermad from the comic.

Over how inconsistent it is story and lore wise to the original trilogy?
Keegan was stationed in Azura and says he saw no combat... Brother, half of the Onyx Guard I saw stationed there in 3 were fucking corpses gibbed on the floor.
@@endworldkrawky600 to be fair, the lore of Onyx is pretty inconsistent to say the least.
They are "elite of the eiltes" but they got bodied everytime they're on screen.
They Need To Have More Characters Like These 💯
I've been extremely disappointed with Gears 4 and 5 but this DLC is actually pretty good-looking! I'd say the only major complaint I have with it is the idea of "Locust surviving the end of Gears of War 3"
Well the device that took out the locust and lambent never really worked and only made the locust go into hibernation and having all the crystal shit on their body and wake up 25 years later and being renamed the swarm and having a new queen which is Queen Reyna and not Myrrah again since Marcus killed her

@@Freelancer837 I dont know, in the end of Gears 3, professor Adam Fenix did hint that it wont kill the locust, just "harm" them. and in the way he saying did mean that he always mean to save them as his responsible as a scientist and the counter-measure was never a weapon to kill locust entirely. And the origin of Queen Myrrah and the Locust was in the dark even at the end of Gears 3. So I think they did intended for Gears 4 and so on.
@@sylas9762 Yeah, he meant to save them, but if it wasn't meant to kill all of them, I don't get why he talked so much about hwo he regretted how he WASN'T able to save the Locust. I mean, he did end up saving the Locust with it. And even past that, if the Locust are still alive and the Lambent are gone, at the very least, once they've got the Queen reincarnated basically, I don't get why they're even fighting people. Queen Myrah didn't care to actually wipe out Humanity, she only was taking the surface and killing Humans because the Lambent took the Hollows and such to where they had to run from them. If there's nothing stopping them now, why are they still killing all the Humans?
Just finished playing the entire Gears anthology (1-5, Judgement, including Raam's Shadow) on the Series X. Never played Hivebusters, wasn't really keen on paying the USD20 price tag, in Singapore its SGD30. The next day, just randomly researching the game, the price dropped 50%. Oh yeah, bought it immediately

This is honestly what the main game should have been. Real tension,moment to moment gameplay,no tedious open world with tedious side quests,characters who don't put me to sleep or make me want to punch the screen.

You know, I think the escape trailer for the multiplayer mode this story is based on would have really tied the whole story to an explosive finish. Other than that, bang up execution of the story as always GLP team!

Never knew of this game. Except for some skin shader issues, and characters' feet occasionally "moon-walking", this looks almost like AAA material. It's a lotta gorgeous (if a bit over-the-top) *_FUN!_*

Best Campaign since the original trilogy, Raam’s Shadow & Judgment. Not Gears 4 or 5 though. Gears 5 felt too much like a teenage angst film. “This isn’t about you, it’s about me!” So cringe, didn’t even want to replay it.
In an alternate universe with no plot armor, they underestimate the snatchers and end up unconscious in cocoons and fail.
