I do an acoustic version of this song as well. It's a testament to Kate's songwriting talent that a song written on a fairlight costing in the six figures translates so we'll to a far more affordable acoustic guitar

I can’t even remember who turned me on to Kate Bush, I think it was Femke, this girl I dated one summer who was from Holland. I’m glad she did. I’m now 55 and her greatest hits are in my iPhone. Hearing these girls is just a awesome spin on kates and they nail it in there on way. Really cool to hear this.
I hope people discover this cover with the resurgence of Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). As a die-hard Kate fan, this cover changes it just enough to make it their own, without taking anything away. Bravo First Aid Kit.

Nearly every artist who covers this song tries to make it sound like their version of Kate Bush. This is the first version that I've heard where the artist took that awesome song and made it their own.
The artists that seem to be in the best place to take on these songs are duos, and I don't think that's a coincidence. They don't have to try to be Kate Bush, and it frees them.
Singing is a big part of our culture. We sing in kindergarten, learn an instrument, sing in choirs and has a strong industry. Naturally some beautiful talents grow in such an environment. Johanna and Klara's father used to be a punk rocker so I guess they grew up with instruments at home.

Wow. OK, the VOCALS?!! Are you kidding me? 11 out of 10. Amazing. The arrangement; very good; loved the mandolin. Kate's version has that iconic-hypnotic drum machine, and I kind of miss it here. Not saying it needs a drum machine, but something, and I thought the crescendo at "let's exchange the experience" was kind of overwhelming. Overall 10/10

I was a big Kate Bush fan and bought the album when it was first released. Loved it. The Placebo cover was very different - more taut, even ominous, and loved that one too. This version is different again, very raw and passionate. Love it still!

This song has become popular again because of a tv show, but every time I hear these sisters play it reminds me of how great this song is. Kate Bush is wonderful talent, so are these two girls.
