- Changing the 04 VW Passat PCV Valve . Cylinder misfires caused by vacuum leak. After replacing this I had no problems and the car ran smoothly.
What a mess in there trying to get to it. Please bear with the camera as it was hard to get into some of the angles. Hopefully this helps someone with with the same problem. I tried replacing the spark plugs, and the "hockey puck" and checked all the lines to find a leak and nothing worked other than this.

this video was great for helping me rebuild my pcv system the previous owner damaged
Just did this on my 2005 1.8t passat AWM engine. Part that you need is 06B 103 245, it is the version with 3 ports.

my 05 vw passat with the v6 engine started misfireing and had a coil code so i replaced the coil, plugs and wires and now when i turn it on it has a rough idle and if i dont keep it above 2k rpms it will go to like 400rpms then die. while working on the coils i snapped the crankcase breather hose and i noticed it was plugged of old oil so im wondering if my pcv and this hose is the cause of the rough/inability to idle
"Being attacked by bees ", you said. There is a UA-cam video for that too.
I'll be sure to look that one up! Thanks haha
I wish you would have recorded the engine running before diagnostics and replacing it.
I have an 05 passat 1.8l it has a really rough idle, when i start it up it blows blueish white smoke (assming its the engine adding too much gas)
That could be a turbo went bad
I had that happen once.
@rosincore uhm I'm not sure it doesn't make any noises other then having a rough idle and it also is throwing a running lean code
Thanks
So i have a 04 passat 1.8t i have changed the maf, new coils and spark plugs, both o2 sensers i drop from 13 codes to 3 codes and has rough idol when starts like at 700 800 bounces flashing cel and then if i drive no power really i need help do u think if i change this it will fix my problem? Srry if i misspelled anything not grate speller oh and its just missfire on 1 thats it
If the CEL is flashing, that means it's an active misfire. So look into your coils ans wires. Pull the code to see exactly what's going on. Most local places will scan it for you
you know harbor freight has best junk in town. lol
Looking for a gearbox place to full up whith oil
That’s not the actual pvc diaphragm valve
It is the pcv valve. Pressure control valve, not positive crankcase valve.
What does it do when pressure control valve is not working correctly?
I need that pcv valve where I can buy it. ?? Help me please.
Fcp euro has many parts

Thats not the PCV Valve btw!
It is the pcv valve. Pressure control valve, not positive crankcase valve.
Have a part number for the pcv?
