Bro, here I am thinking you're mr. clean cut comprehensive light reviewer... I stand corrected😊
Enjoy your content. Thanks for the look inside the factory.
Not what you pictured huh? 😆
@@cheule Abso not but appreciate it just the same👍
Wow you seriously just answered everything i really needed to know about the seeker 4 honestly i wasn't going to buy it without knowing everything you just said thank you somuch!!
Thanks for watching!
I love the hard case on the Javolt mini. The Javolt mini is one of my favorites because I do bridge work and to see something far away while staying clear is key for me.
I have so many Olights, but I have never really desired the Seeker, but after seeing your video I think I will be picking this up, thanks for another great video.
I think it’s excellent for “workshop” or indoor use. Pretty floody for up close work, and the strapless dimming to get the output dialed in correctly while at close range.
Wow, what a nice upgrade! The Seeker 3 Pro has been my goto for gifts and everyone that has received them really liked them.
Looks CW
And I really do prefer the 4, the rotary feels better.
@@youtubeuser5424my seeker 4 is NW
I wish they had done a double tap into turbo to unlock instead of the long press. In a pocket or a bag it seems much more likely to lean against something and have an accidental long press / much less likely to have an accidental double tap. Plus that is already standard to turn on in turbo. Either way they did a great job with this one.
Great review as always. Thank you for covering it. I have a question as per on Olight’s website their spec on color temperature is as follows,
“Enjoy the flexibility of selecting between two different color temperatures, CW (5700K~7000K) or NW (4000K~5000K), for
your preferred lighting experience.”
When you tested yours, was it the neutral white and why such a tolerance or variance listed in the spec as it’s confusing. Thank you for researching this and getting back to us on it.
Sweet!!! I'm sure everybody had a blast 😎👍
Thanks Mr Cheule. I Learnt Heaps 💡🧠🤓!
That holster is pretty sweet. Light does have pretty great ideas with their new products
I get the impression they are trying to innovate. They’re always implementing new designs.
@@cheule I agree man. They keep using better and better emitters and getting better color reproduction/ not just high lumens. They really do have a great product. Just waiting for them to upgrade the baton with better LEDs
Sweet I wish I could have made it this year. Maybe next year. 😎👍🔦
I hope so too!
👍Nice review, looks really good. Now I need to wait for it to become available here 🇿🇦🙁
Shame it doesnt have a beacon/SOS mode, but I'll be buying it anyway. I nearly pulled the trigger on the 3 not long ago, glad I changed my mind.
Thanks for the video, just subscribed and looking forward to your future stuff.
Will you be doing the review on the new sure fire edc2 dft
I'm shocked that Olight have actually used a nice tint, that's a very positive change, I think the H2R NW was the last time I saw a very nice tint from Olight. I also think Olight has completely missed the point about why we want standard charging ports. This is a really nice holster design of course but the majority of us don't normally use holsters for our lights and this thing is much bigger than an MCC cable so it's no more convenient. It's clearly a step in the right direction at least. I won't be getting one though because I have lots of good lights in it's class already and Olight has kind of turned me off with their marketing and pay-walling lately.
Delivered: a standard way to charge the light... if you bring the proprietary holster with you, that has the proprietary charging mechanism built into it. So now instead of remembering to bring a little charge cable along you have the option of bringing a heavy holster instead. Options though. I think what people were probably after was standard charging _in the light itself_ 🤣 Will be interested to see the full reviews for sure though.
With all the functionality the holster brings to the table (I.e. Auto Unlock) I don’t see how I’d travel without it. But of course I see your point.
Personally I think the holster charging is way better functionally than inside the light due to dumb rubber flaps getting janky and making it less waterproof. Who needs it anyway, and it still has wireless charging in the light itself. Its a win win win.
Actually your mistaken. You don’t need the holster. This Olight features the same magnetic charging as other Olights. The charging holster is just another option of charging.
I think my point has been misunderstood slightly. Oight's claim that it has "delivered a standard way of charging" I interpret as "all you need is a regular usb C cable and you're good to go", This isn't the case here though.
Option 1) use the MCC = proprietary,
Option 2) use a standard regular old usb C cable... but you need the proprietary holster to plug it in to!
I know that will be a deal breaker for some. (Not me though).
@@breadyegg yeah in that case, for sure. It is kinda weird to have have “standard” charging blocked the need to use a proprietary holster to utilize that “standard” charging.
In that case I guess it would made sense for just allowing the holster to charge through the proprietary Olight charger.
Heck it would have been much easier to have a hole in the holster to let a Olight charger just directly hit the light 😂
What's it weight?😮
Some cool stuff with the holster there. Still, have to admit, the seeker series has never made sense to me. I had a seeker 3 pro because i got it in a bundle and the performance for the size is just nothing special at all. Sure 4600 Lumen is a lot but its pretty much just a flooder and if you want that there are much better lights in that size.
I mean id argue in olights own lineup the warrior mini or normal warrior 3 destroy this light, i dont see why people buy it. And looking at other manufactures, nitecore has a light that is MUCH smaller with 3000 Lumens, a round emitter and 60k cd. Id bet its much cheaper too
This flashlight is definitely meant to be floodier than the Warrior line. I also thing the rotary Ui is a standout feature, so it might be more for closeup work than the Warrior.
@@cheulei did like everything else about the light, don't get me wrong. Ui is great but I don't understand why it's more expensive than the warriors.
I have the seeker 2 pro and seeker 3 pro and still prefer the seeker 2 pro. I find it holds turbo longer and has better throw. I can't see a difference in the lumen between the 2 and the 3 so 400 lumens in my opinion won't be noticeable. I will wait for the 5 😊
Yes, 200 lumens would be indiscernible at such a high output.
Yes, 200 lumens would be indiscernible at such a high output.
Maybe I missed this information. The seeker 4 pro in your video, is it CW or NW version? Thanks for sharing.
NW
Mine is the NW 5000K
@@cheuleso even the NW is still the same 4600 lumen output then.
@@cheule Finally in NW!!! Only available in the black color. I noticed your Oclip Clip Light which unfortunately they are only now offering in CW.
@@Rzombie23correct! I measured it at 4600 lumens
My 4 is coming 10/23/23
I don't get why they didn't use a high cri emitter????? Another thing i hate is they only give a neutral option in 1 color?? I was going to get a baton 3 pro max in green but no there's no neutral choice in green.
My Seeker-2 is just fine.😅
Not worth upgrading if you already have seeker 3....
Definitely evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Having both though, I do prefer the 4 of course. One thing I forgot to mention in my video, which is actually huge to me… you can change the output level before you turn it on with the Seeker 4.
@@cheulethe change output before turning on is my biggest reason I’m ordering whith early access
Can anyone comment on the quality/durability of the “rubberized” grip material used in the seeker flashlights?
I don’t know if anyone remembers the Oxo grips used in kitchen utensils but after a few years of use, it would get sticky and leave a nasty black residue on anything it touched. I have bad use flashlights going back to 2010 so long-term quality is something I appreciate. Thanks.
I 100% think this would happen over years (meaning the grips would oxidize and turn brittle or sticky). However, if your buying a light for daily use (not collecting), you’re likely to wear it out, break it, or lose it long before the rubber turns. Or heck, Seeker 5, ammirite?

Tell them I need that new PL turbo Valkyrie in a handheld configuration, 18350 tube. I need it with moon light and turbo mode only, all in a 2 stage gas peddle tail switch. Bring back the raider name since they already used warrior mini. 3 years iv been asking for this thing.
I was looking at the emitter in the PL Turbo while it was on display, it looked suspiciously like the one in the javelot mini! Maybe check that out?
Head is too big for me to carry comfortably. Thing is, I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets, especially for work. Typically a full size 18650 light will reach items I keep in my pockets. Iv found that 18350 lights only take up about half my pocket length and don’t interfere with other items in my pockets so things don’t overlap and it still feels slim like I’m not carrying a lot. Currently I’m running a cloud mch hc 18350 single output. I only ever use moon and turbo so looking for that in one convenient package.
O light please do trade-ins' for a discount on the new model. Then you could sell the trade-ins' win win.
@2:00 no one is giving USB-C because “we asked for it”. Of course… yes, we ALL want USB-C. But a large sector of several industries have held back evolving to USB-C for as long as possible to save 💰at the manufacturing level. The real reason they are giving us USB-C is “Directive (EU) 2022/2380; amending the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU, introduces the requirements of the 'common charging' solution. USB-C will be the common port regardless if radio device or other chargeable device”. SOOO... in order for O-Light to do business in the EU... they HAD to introduce a USB-C port or loose a large part of their market. Same with a lot of other devices... All about to make the same taking points.
Dude, you remind me of Guy Fawkes.
Lol breezed over very, quickly when saying proprietary battery, and it has to be in the gimmicky case to use USB-C charging, isn’t that still considered proprietary?
I guess that’s entirely up to you to decide. I think this is a step in the right direction however. Another interesting fact about the proprietary batteries is that it allows them to use the body tube as signal, that’s how they accomplish the Auto Unlock and magnetic charging.
All the proprietary stuff keeps me from buying any more of their stuff... it drives me nuts! Even if a normal 21700 can't charge in the body, at least let them act as back ups.
@@cheulethe right direction? Do you work for them? Seems like it. Stop being a shill.
i think its a good solution. You get the usb C port so that makes it a lot more practical plus a nice holster. Usb C port on the host comes with its own potential issues and just giving people the magnetic charging cable will mean they have to carry an extra cable with them, this way only the light in the holster, people will already have a usb c cable with them anyway.
I dislike just about every change they made. USB-C built-in or is useless. Long press for on is a terrible idea. Mixed feelings on the indicator lights. Of course, dimmer indicator lights hopefully are less of a drain on the battery.
Battery going in correctly is an improvement. Better driver, more lumens is an improvement. Rubber grip all the way around is an improvement.
A real improvement would be allowing the flashlight to be used as a USB-C power bank.
They had great ideas with the Seeker 4 Mini. Why, oh, why didn't they implement those on the Seeker 4 Pro?
god bless brother i cant wait till the next one keep on keepin on ill see you in the next one
going to type c is dumber than magnetically charging. people are wrong. its not easier or more convenient
Fortunately this light has both.
Olight shill's, shillin.
I promise you (an all my viewers) that I say what I like, say what I dislike. I won’t be “bought” in that way. If a flashlight doesn’t work for me, I’ll say so. See my BSS V5 video for reference. I had lots of criticisms about that light.
Why is every other video you put out about o lights seems like you're getting Paid to talk about them🤬🤬
his last 6 videos were about other stuff... And obviously there are gonna be a lot of videos about olight because its a huge company that releases a lot of lights and sell a lot of lights. Makes sense to have them on a flashlight channel once in a while....
I assure you, I only say what I think-I just happen to think Olight makes a decent light. I’ll release a vlog style video where I was begging their engineers for better tinted emitters like Nichia 519A in a few days.
@@mikeenslin3009thanks for your support!
