This watch is really well made and of course historically significant. But let’s be honest, the price maybe a little too steep for most people out there. What do you think?
No way...this is perfectly priced for what you get. A completely brilliant watch with history, serious build quality, and one of the best unboxing experiences you can find in a direct to consumer watch maker...or visit their boutique in Mayfair for the full go at it. Feels like Churchill himself issued this to the troops in the field. There are no peers for this watch. Its a real reissue of a legend.
Beautiful watch, however for that price it should include a metal bracelet, COSC certified Movement and stronger magnetism at a minimum. Apart from the heritage and dirty dozen look I don't understand why someone wouldn't go for a Tudor or Longines instead.
@@christianbedoya7880 that’s my one sticking point with this watch too. Is it gorgeous? Yes! Is it f*cking cool?Yes! Is it over priced… well for me… yes unfortunately but it is a cracker
I have a Baltany 42mm that fits my wrist and a Seagull mechanical movement. Cost £150 with discount and one of the few watches I have received compliments on. Would a name make me buy this vertex?
It’s a nice watch and I like it very much, but, is too expensive. They know they’ve overpriced it. That’s why they’ve included the excessive packaging, extra straps, tool etc. to try and justify the elevated price. The lack of concentric rings on the subdial is also disappointing. Nice watch though - I’d be interested in picking one up preowned.
Beautiful piece. But the price is inhibitive. The Smith PRS-59 has similar specs, similar dimensions, similar caliber, but 4x the magnetic protection and 1/4 the price. And yes, it's made in HK.
Brilliant video it looks at the watch not the reviewer. I love Vetex watches simple amazing history & a true tool watch I’d buy one but the price ! Come on rip off so it’s a no for me & I suspect many others. €1,500 max please & saphire crystal blth sides !
Great review , It will appeal to military watch enthusiasts who want a watch with real military history but for general watch fans it a pricey piece. I myself prefer the larger version and would pay the £2k+ as I see the quality in it .
@@teenoso4069 great comment. It doesn’t feel like at all like a £2k watch. Don’t get me wrong it is lovely and really well built. But it’s missing something special for that price tag!
I’d really like one, but I can’t justify spending that amount of money when a Baltany gives a lot of the same vibe. I may keep an eye open for one on the second hand market.
Vintage one might have value. Reproduction is laughable considering the price, it doesn't have any complications yet it's expensive, give me a break. Ain't worth more than $200

It's a gorgeous watch and it does have heritage, but yeah maybe if they halved the price it might be a more attractive proposition.
Hilarious price!

At a grand id take this. This price is beyond stupid.

Yes. You can do a lot better with that much money.
