I appreciate that mate and is good to see your pics on Instagram, has made me realise how much of a mistake it was selling mine, definite sellers regret 😔 Thanks for watching man 👍👍
I have a bronze Thorne, on a leather/suede strap. It's been the best quality, most durable and most commented on, of all my Ali watches. I will be looking at this one too.
It took me 3 reviews to believe the lug to lug was 44.44 and by the time I came to your review I was sold. A dream size for my tiny wrist. Thanks Simon, watch already on its way to me ❤
Ah nice one, am really happy I could help you make an informed decision on the watch, you’ll love it as it’s great. My biggest selling regret is selling this watch 😔 Enjoy 👍👍
It’s a brilliant watch. I have the steel San Martin version. I hope more watch brands start using that tool free bracelet adjustment. Thanks for the great review.
Ordered a blue one today for $198. First Thorn, first PT5000, first Pelagos homage and first titanium watch since buying an Invicta diver years ago. Good review.
I love this watch. It was wow when I unboxed it. Comfortable, lightweight and fantastic bracelet adjustment. Dial is very legible and the chunky applied indicies are full of lovely Lume. Dial colour is lovely, I went for the blue. Thorn have just got better with each release. My best purchase of 2023.
Crikey, that has fabulous specs for the price and the bracelet adjust is a true game changer, hopefully it will last for a long time. The crown could be a touch bigger and preferably brushed. One thing that I’d like to see is the review of the black one. Nobody seems to have reviewed it, most review the blue on. Great review, though. Gonna sell a couple of G-Shocks and get one of these.
You’ll love it mate, it’s an absolute banger and quite possibly my biggest selling regret of any watch I’ve ever sold. I may have to buy myself another one tbh 👍👍
Got the same colourway and i love it. PT 5000 worried me a bit because i read they could be variable but mine runs at -3 seconds a day. Wear it 24 hrs. I have Rolex, Zenith etc and frankly this is no way a let down. My daily wearer and i love it. Think Thorn quality seems great for the money. 1:03
It's lovely this Simon... I'm umming and ahhing between a bronze or titanium watch and really can't make my mind up... Either this or the 9Ways bronze miliidiver. It's doing me head in haha
Additionally to my own review, some people hate the line exploration road... agreed it adds nothing and it could do without it but i dont sit looking at the dial all day and i had forgotten it was there ! Bracelet sizing method is superb and never had any problems with it. There was a comment that the crown was too big, i like it, not a fiddle to adjust. Just love the watch 😊
I own 3 Pagani Design homage watches with this tudor dial (grey, black, blue). The last 2 purchased in the high $80 within the last 45 days. With NH movements, applied indices on chrome bases, with exhibition case backs. PD is the CLEAR leader in my opinion in homage watches > better dial, better movements, exhibition case backs, best prices. I'd like to own stock in PD. I own at least 10 of their homages, probably more if I would go count them.
I own a lot of pagani watches too but QC wise as compared with brands like Heimdallr, Thorn etc, they are behind with poorer lume, bezel back play and alignment. It all depends on your luck but value for money for the specs, they are bang for buck for sure. After I starting buying from mid tier Chinese brands like Heimdallr, Thorn and the slightly lower tier Steeldive and Addiesdive, I find Pagani to be inferior. They have improved a lot but for the price that they are giving us, they can't really do more unless they increase the price
Great revue great watch. Many thanks. Value, design, finishings, they miss only the date at 6 o' clock, and a signed crown. But this is probably the must interesting of the bunch.
Thorn have come up a hell of a lot quality wise in my humble opinion,ie from Pagani territory to cronos and I'd say very near San Martin? The lack of weight puts me off. I like the feeling of heft on watches. Light feels cheap to me
I completely agree, they are doing some great stuff at the moment, long may that continue… I know what you mean about the weight but with Titanium it being light is kind of a byproduct 👍👍
Ive ordered my Thorn Shy036 in the blue, ive watched so many reviews, and couldnt decide between a San Martin Blue then I saw this watch and for the money I also chose it over a Proxima, as they say time will tell, if I bought the right watch ! Thanks for the review 😊

@@WatchtheTime Ive had this watch about a week the shipping to the u.k was about 2 weeks,it arrived in excellent condition,Thorn has once again delivered a masterpiece, the movement {PT5000} is running very well, the Sapphire Crystal is amazing and the lume is out of this world, and all this in a Titanium Watch, with 3 links removed its only 93grams,the link removable system is a game changer....
Own it. Great watch. Wearing it right now. I tend to wear my luxury watches on special occasions (Rolex 16613, Glashutte Senator) and prefer high quality homages for daily wear: Thorn SHY036, Seestern S435/S446, Steeldive SD1953/1964/1970/1975XP, Cronos L6003, etc.. All of these homages come with dependable movements (SI NH34/35/36/38; PT5000, Seagull ST2130). Also, plenty of microbrands purchased at a time when ETA still supplied Valjoux 7750 and 2824-2 movements to companies outside of the Swatch Group.
Nice one mate. That is a pretty good balance to have and yes, the movements as a whole that are used by these companies are known entities. Thanks for watching and enjoy your watches man 👍👍
It’s a very cool and practical addition that makes sizing the bracelet super easy. I haven’t seen many of those but I’m pretty sure San Martin would have you covered, especially as they do a very good quick adjust clasp 👍👍
I bought one less than a month ago when they had a sale and I got the black version with PT5000 movement. Very easy to take out links. I will need to do the micro adjustment maybe a notch or two. I don't want to scratch it up. I got it 40 US dollars less than it regularly goes for and i jumped on it as soon as it went on sale. I was watching 4 other titanium Tudor homage watches also.
Great review, it looks like Thorn have made the best homage to that watch, I even like the brand name and logo. Personally, I'm not a fan of the original, so it isn't for me.
The San Marco Titanium Modell is much more like the Original ...Clasp better, with inside lengh Mechanismus, better Blue Colour, and so on even the Bezel. The Price is about 320 Euro at Germany ...thats The best Omage in my opinion, more Money, but more Details and better Design over all.
I don’t mind the sort of ‘period’ text they use tbh mate, is something a little bit different and also, at least the name isn’t terrible (like some others) 👍👍
T2 scratches easily. If used as a daily driver, the bracelet will be covered with numerous visible scratches in just a few month, even for a careful owner. So buy SS if you do mind, or buy a more expensive T5 watch.
@@WatchtheTime I guess they skipped watchmaker 101. If it's not a brand/model name or a feature, it should be left off. It's a blemish on an otherwise beautiful piece. Such a shame.
I love this watch. Especially the Blue variant. I would have liked to have seen a slightly bigger, signed and unpolished Titanium Crown. The sterile item fitted doesn't fill the gap between the crown guards as much as I'd like. A few specs etched on the case back also might have been nice. A bit picky perhaps but...
