Thank you Cindy! Today I watched you on an older quilt show with Ricky Tims & Alex Anderson. I’m going to try some grid based quilting soon.

You make it look so simple, Cindy. I need to slow down like you.

Thanks Susan for taking the time to watch! Yes, I do so more slowly than most people are taught, but I feel it gives me more control and accuracy.

That's beautiful.......and soooo (sew) simple!!! I've been too afraid to start any machine quilting, but I think I'll be following along with you for the next year! hahaha Thank you.

Hi! Im so happy that I finally found you LOL! I saw you on the quilt show and am going to buy your printed grid fabric and start practicing. I had just about given up on free motion quilting on a domestic machine but you have inspired me!

Hi and thank you very much for this great tutorial! A friend of mine told me about you and am I glad she did! I have started sewing last year and 2018 will be the year of my first quilt and first experiences with FMQ.
Working with grids will help me a lot I’m sure . Is it possible to buy fabrics that are already gridded , for practicing? I must confess that the idea of drawing them doesn’t quite appeal to me. You mentioned sheets included with your book.
Looking forward to see all your tutorials! Have a great year as well! 😎🌸

Mariette Forget hi there! So glad you like the tutorials! You’ll find many places for these beautiful designs in your future quilts.
I have pre-printed grid panels on my website. They’re wonderful to practice on. Hope you’ll check them out at Quintessentialquilting.com.

Are you using the stitch regulator? I have that machine. Thanks for the video.

Hi Victoria; no I don't use a stitch regulator. I prefer to be in control! LOL But if you're comfortable with yours, then by all means, use it. If not, maybe just keep trying without one and your stitch consistency will get better over time:)

What type of marking tool are you using?
    thanks.

Hi there, thanks for your question! I like to use the Clover blue wash away marking pens for marking lighter colored fabrics. I've never had a problem with them as long as I don't subject them to heat (irons, hot cars, etc), or prolonged direct sunlight (don't leave your quilt near a window with strong sunlight). They wash away completely with cold, clear water.
