Don't know or care which post number I am. This story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. I understand the positive result from a negative event, and I appreciate everyone making the best of a sad situation. Thanks to Bon Appétit for posting.
What an amazingly poignant and bittersweet story. This had me in tears.
Ryan’s wife has more sadness behind her eyes than any person I’ve ever seen.
My dad also passed away from a late-stage cancer and just like Ryan you really don't realise the impact someone has on your life until they're gone. They connect people even in death and help point you towards your dreams. Really great feature, Bon Appetit.
I wish the best to your family. R.i.p to your father, I guarantee he was a great man. Stay strong hey? :3
SaDexcusE98 He was. I appreciate that. Thanks.
Yeesh. This was rough. All of you at Staplehouse seem like total badasses. And good. I'll have to drop by next time I'm in Atlanta.
Can people just stop saying who was which number in viewing? No one cares. Cant you just sppreciate how amazing this story was and comment on that. The world is getting filled with idiots slowly. Smh

Great, well made video. Please do more like this instead of recipes, which you can find anywhere. A great story is harder ti find. Btw who are the people that dislike this video?
What I've heard from my grandma is that that girl was a Hiroshima bombing victim and despite of being impossible to cure her, she was told that if she made 1000 paper cranes (just a mere number, so she would forget about it), she would be cured.
This story is about the purity of a child's heart and also about hope.
Wow thank you for sharing this, so moving and powerful. With how destructive and heartbreaking this world's news is everyday, it is so nice to come across a story like this to uplift and give hope.
3:40 Kudos to a chef acknowledging this. As a pretty good home cook, I struggle to justify eating out at 90% of restaurants (if only for the food experience). Why will I pay someone $60+ to prepare a dish I can do as good, or better at home. I choose to eat at places that exceed what I am capable of, nice to hear a chef striving to that end.
This made me so upset. Such a beautiful story and beautiful people so I'm upset at how swak life can be. All the best to these guys in the future and may they keep prospering.
it's 5:52 am, I'm not sleeping, saw this video wallowing in my own worries and stresses...and then I stop to rewind the part of how much Ryan's words inspire people from his amazing wife, and I paused it to make sure I wrote down his adage which was shown on the wall. Thank you for sharing this.
I had to pause at 2:45 to tell my mom to stop cutting onions.
The crane 💙
that was an excellent & bittersweet vignette.
I guess I need to go to Atlanta now to support this restaurant.
My heart wasn't ready for this. Absolutely heartbreaking but what a beautiful ending knowing how those three now help others.
Kudos for honoring Ryan Hidinger's legacy and giving back to the community. What a beautiful and poignant story.
I agree wholeheartedly. Bless you :)
May Ryan cook from the bountiful garden of Heaven. 🙏😭
Ioana beautifully & poetic said. I bet he’s flapping his angel wings over his beloved loves ones & smiling at the restaurant’s success 🙏🏽🕊
Saw this in the magazine and it was amazing to see a video on it as well.
What an uplifting story, amazing.
Thank you for sharing. I really love this story.

Thank you for sharing this story. Made me miss my father.
Amazing story.. keep the dream alive.
Cancer is a B!#*%. Love the story very heartfelt and beautiful. An inspirational story.
This is exceptionally touching. Wonderful video, sounds like a great man.
Heart breaking but some positive has come from Ryan this is so beautiful and amazing. The crane!
Wow such a great look into the lives of people, I enjoyed my emotional journey of this story. Sadness turned into inspiration, thank you.
They must chop a lot of onions at this restaurant, because dammit, the vapours are seeping through the video.
8:43 am and tears down my face.i know that restaurant will be successful though it looks like a place I would go numerous times a week .r.i.p.
an awesome crane. God works in mysterious ways. God Bless and good luck.

Fooken hipstaas aye
u can find another man ;
i gave the video a like because of the story not the food
Okay. Thanks for the heads up on that.
I'm so hungry right now all I can think about is how tiny those portions are
you dont go there to fuel yourself, you go there for the experience.
usually with these multi course meals they're portioned so small so you have enough room in your stomach for the whole meal. Especially since you have enough time in between courses to digest, the small portions can add up and do end up pretty filling
It's a great story, but I don't think the food looks very good to be frank.
The REAL heartbreaking story of the Staplehouse is that they still serve disgusting slaughtered animals. Also known as "meat" by the ignorant and small-minded.
Animals in nature eat each other, we are animals, it makes sense to eat animals.
oh shut up. leave them be
That's what you chose to take from this moving video? I don't usually say negative things to people but honestly, people like you are why vegans get so much hate.
