    That extremely impressive. Your Trailblazer is exactly what I want my 05 TBLT. Question though. Could you give me some tips on doing the truckbed liner black paint job on the rims?

    • @RuckerBuilds
      @RuckerBuilds  3 роки тому +1

      It’s not too hard buddy I just take each wheel off one at a time and clean the wheel real good and then apply the truck bedliner. The type I buy comes in a spray can so I just do a light base coat then let it dry and keep applying coats till it’s done. The truck bedliner is very durable and holds up nice

      @@RuckerBuilds hey check your email, i emailed u i think 🤔... If its the correct email. So we can keep in contact in case i need your opinions and advice about trailblazer stuff. Or do u Twitter or Instagram or fb? Which would be easier. I do have a question, as i said im trying to find a nice trailblazer so I've been searching a lot of ads and my question are : #1 Is high mileage a big factor? Like if the trailblazer has near 200k is that a bad thing or no? #2 Which is better the regular v6 or the extended with the v8?

    Nice truck!...older guy here ..bought ours new in 05...over 219 thousand miles on it ..Its been a great truck..and has never let me down a few issues? yes.. nothing big..Normal maintenance things and a fuel pump don't push it to much with that after 140 thousand ... We have much newer vehicles here but I will keep this old gal forever they wouldn't give anything on trade in ....Dependable ? you bet and in 4 wheel..She will go like an M48 tank...

    • @RuckerBuilds

      Julio simon all I did was take a old card like a old drivers license or something like that and stick it behind the door molding and start prying off its just on there by a adhesive strip. After you get the molding off then just get some adhesive remover and get the remaining adhesive off and you'll never know it was there

    Nice looking TB! I've recently bought an '08 LT 4x4 and would like to make it a bit more off-road worthy. I'm nervous about ripping the bumper off just on snow banks (and almost did). It looks like those tires are a bit bigger, but I can't tell if you've done a lift either. What sort of MPGs do you get with that setup?

  • @tcb069
    @tcb069 8 років тому +1

    got a question for you , i am thinking on buying a 06 trailblazer 4wd with 4.2 i6 engine , do you know anything about this engine ? was going to tow a 4k travel trailer
    your ride looks cool

    • @RuckerBuilds
      @RuckerBuilds  8 років тому +1

      The Off Grid Prepper yes sir you'd be just fine towing with it, the stock suspensions on these were more made for towing then off road, but if you need more info or in depth questions go to GMTNation.com they have a whole forum thread on towing there

    • @paulg444
      @paulg444 7 років тому +2

      I would recommend an added transmission cooler if you are going to tow with the I6.

    • @brianwesley28
      @brianwesley28 7 років тому

      The 4200 Vortec is awesome. It has a 7 quart oil pan, if that helps you out. I'd agree with the transmission cooler comment I see, if you're going to do a lot of towing. It is a little bit light on the bottom end torque, but it has a minimum of something like 90% available maximum torque between something like 1,8000 to 2,000 RPM, and 6,000 RPM, primarily due to the DOHC design with the variable exhaust valve cam phaser. It is a highway machine. I drove a friend to Tacoma, WA, from Kansas, as he wanted to move there. I don't remember which state we were in, as we meandered a bit, but there was a newer Dodge Ram with a Hemi who passed me on a highway in a moderately steep grade area of one of the states. He passed me on a climb, and he kind of got onto his Ram. I hammered the TB, when he was in front of me, and still accelerating up the grade. I started to gain on him. She's a highway machine. She does well enough in other conditions. I've not pulled excessively with her, but she seems to do fine with a trailer less than the 4,000 lbs you mentioned. With a good tranny cooler, I'm sure it would pull 4000K like it isn't even there. I've read a comment from another in a forum who said that the 4200 Votec is the closest ICE he's driven to an electric motor. Drive one and you'll understand why.

      forums.trailvoy.com/archive/index.php/t-35590.html
      Look in the glove box... look for these codes...
      GU6-3.42
      GT4-3.73
      GT5-4.10
      3.42 is excellent for highway.. but around town- it seems slow- not so great to tow
      3.73 is like having a little of both..
      4.10 is a guzzler of gas on highway, but off the line accelereation is peppier.- and great for towing

    I got an odd question for you it's about the brush guard. Could you possibly email me a few pics of what the mounts look like? I have a lifted 03 Lt and my buddy gave me a brush guard a few years ago that is the same design. What I didn't get were the mounts that connect it to the frame. I tried looking for just the mounts but I come up with nothing. So I'm gonna make my own I just need an idea of what they're supposed to look like. I would appreciate it your truck looks pretty nice too by the way

      Derrick Rucker ok I appreciate it. I was gonna make a bumper for it eventually but I like how yours looks with just the rebar and the brush guard. I know what you mean about the mounts I figured they were shaped weird. I tried eye balling it when I first got it but I couldn't figure out where it actually mounted to anyways lol. I've come across a few in parking lots but I always felt like it would be my luck I take a quick pic and the owner shows up freaking out lmao.

    Where is the video for fixing the center console lid?

    • @RuckerBuilds
      @RuckerBuilds  6 років тому +1

      UA-cam flagged it because it had an artists song playing during my outro so sadly it’s deleted...but it was a simple fix all you do is unscrew the console lid and then find something flat to lay in there, I used a small square piece of plastic and then screwed it back on
