When you do get to the Alien vs Predator movie I highly recommend you check out the extended edition of the movie! Great reaction, Dasha! :D
Fun fact: The big dinosaur looking skull on the predators trophy wall is actually a krayt dragon skull, from the star wars universe. It was the first acknowledgment that those guys have been around, even a long time ago in a galaxy far away.
No, it's not. It's just supposed to be a skull of some unknown alien creature. If it were a Krayt Dragon skull it wouldn't even fit in the trophy case! Even the smallest Krayt Dragon species the Canyon Krayt Dragon's average length is at least 30 meters long or almost 100 feet!
Danny Glover did a western called Silverado. It's a good western. It's from 1985 and stars Danny Glover, Kevin Costner, Kevin Kline, and Scott Glenn. It's even got Jeff Goldblum in it. Great movie.
The Predator takes the skulls of those worthy of being a trophy. King Willy and Jerry both fought the Predator hand to hand and in their culture this makes you an honorable warrior. That's why Danny and none of the other kills were taken as trophies. The skinning I think is supposed to be dishonorable. He didn't skin the Colombian the Jamaicans killed because it wasn't his kill, but the others fought with guns exclusively. Making them dishonorable warriors worthy of only being skinned and their skins taken as the trophies.

If you have access to Hulu, there is a new Predator movie called Prey set in 1719 that’s really good. It also references the pistol Danny Glover receives at the end of Predator 2.
One thing that annoys me about the predators... sometimes they are incredibly fast and agile, like a ninja, and then other times they are like big slow moving brutes when it's time to fight one on one!
I loved it when you saw the Alien skull and connected the dots lol. Yes, there have been Alien vs. Predator games, books, and comics for a few decades now (hurt my hip to say that). They have done a couple AvP movies as well.
I read somewhere that the alien skull against the wall was a little in-joke by the art department but it led to the Aliens Versus Predator comics and movies etc...
Hey Dasha, great reaction!! This is 1 of my favorite sequels!! You do learn more information about the predators!! It's very interesting how the predator operates in a big city!! 2 other movies that are action-horror are "from dusk till dawn" that one stars "George Clooney" "juliet Lewis" "Quentin Tarantino" and "Harvey keitel" thr other movie I'm talking about is called "end of days" that one is with the great Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin pollock, Gabriel byrne, and Robin tunney. Both really good movies
There was a comic book treatment of the alien and predator fighting each other called AvP. There was also a move based on that, which was not as well received as the first two.
Predator 2 is one of a number of movies that make Los Angeles look like dystopian hellscape and take that picture to an almost comical degree. That said, Predator 2 is underrated and a fun movie, even without Arnold.
The alien skull was the director taking a swipe at the Alien franchise, essentially saying, "my creature is better than yours". It wasnt supposed to be in the same "universe" until Dark Horse Comics took the idea and ran with it, thus launching the AvP series.
I've finally come up with the perfect drinking game for Dasha's channel. Take a shot every time she rolls her "r"'s. Only attempt if you have a Keith Richards caliber liver.
Excellent reaction - as usual! Now that you know that the Predators and Aliens share a universe, you should watch the Alien Vs. Predator movies. They deviate a bit from the 'parent movies', so be aware of that; but they are generally pretty good. There are some *really* good jump-scares in them! *Enjoy!*
Now that you know Alien and Predator are part of the same universe, you should watch the other Alien and Predator movies, including the Alien vs. Predator movies!
@@wratched They messed up the lighting in Requiem, but it's still a great movie with some of the most iconic creatures, moments, and music in the whole franchise!
A small comic book company called Dark Horse had the rights to make Aliens comics and Predator comics. One day they had the bright idea of an Aliens vs Predator comic series. They did several comic crossovers of the two. Eventually, there was an Aliens vs Predator movie very loosely based on the first comic and another movie completely on its own. And at least one Aliens vs Predator video game.
Yep,read a few and the stories that they did should have been turned into the movie sequels. Now,the screenwriters did incorporate a slight comicbook story element into Aliens vs Predator part 1.The heroine in the comics was a female and fought alongside the Predator to defeat the Aliens. She gets to become part of the Predator crew out of respect and at the end of AVP,the ending mirrored the comic.
Adam Baldwin, playing one of the Feds in this, is also in "Independence Day," and the Science Fiction series, "Firefly." He is also prominent in "The Last Ship."

very fun piece of trivia, for your question about who would win between the two species, without that much spoiler talk, the tag line for the promotional material was "whoever wins, we lose."
Hey, Dasha! Welcome to the urban jungle! Good eye catching the xenomorph skull in the trophy case! The Predator species name is YAUTJA (YOWT-ja). They are interstellar sportsman whose entire culture revolves around big game hunting. They test themselves against apex predators which often includes sentient beings like man. They have a code in that they do not kill the unarmed or the infirm as it is not challenging nor do they kill pregnant prey as a way of husbanding the livestock. If vanquished, they leave no trace of themselves behind by detonating a powerful bomb so as to leave the "preserve" pristine by not contaminating the indigenous culture with their technology. As a rite of passage, they must blood themselves by killing a xenomorph from the "Alien" series. If prey is worthy by offering good sport and defeating the hunter, the tribe will bestow the victor with a trophy. There's a pretty good Predator fan film on UA-cam set in the Middle Ages with knights called "Predator: Dark Ages" starring Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) from "The Last Kingdom"! During the opening firefight, the cloaked Predator smashed through the skylight and slaughtered the gangbangers who were pinning the police down. The surviving gangbanger ran to the roof in terror spraying bullets at anything! The boy in the cemetery was spared because the Predator determined his toy gun wasn't a real weapon but anybody with a weapon on the subway was butchered. The subway scene was satirizing a real vigilante incident in New York City when a commuter named Bernie Goetz shot some thugs who were trying to rob him. Remember that flintlock pistol! You'll see it again! If you're going to see the "AvP" films, then you need to acquaint yourself with the PREDATOR franchise. You've seen both the action classic with Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover's urban-set "Predator 2" in which a link between franchises appears! Dark Horse comics ran with the crossover concept inspiring Hollywood to make two crossover films with moderately successful to excellent results. They're fun and exciting guilty pleasures with the second one, "AvP: REQUIEM", being particularly lean and mean. There is also a "PREDATORS" film produced by Robert Rodriguez that is definitely worth a look. The "Predator" (2018) REBOOT, however, should be avoided at all costs; it's a franchise-killer! "PREY" is an 18th-century-set prequel to the original film that was released on Hulu August 5! The Alien films have a RICHER SUBTEXT while the Predator films are more ACTION FARE but they're both fun sci-fi thrillers. Super glad to see another reaction to this very underrated sequel, especially from what has quickly become one of my favorite reactors! It really is a solid continuation and a good film in its own right, throwing in some detective thriller and gangland/crime-wave chaos into the sci-fi action and expanding a decent bit on the lore of the Predator. Didn't skip on the graphicness of the violence and also had a cool cast and some neat twists. Watching and right now at the spot with the meet with King Willie - Which is a notable scene, I feel: 'You can't see the eyes of the demon.. until him come calling. ..This is dread man. Truly - dread.' Well said. And as you pointed out, quite close to truth actually - Though it's an alien being and not some 'demon' per-say, he recognizes the Predator is indeed a supernatural entity has its sights on Harrigan. And that Harrigan must indeed 'prepare himself' for battle against it. Looking forward to seeing you check the rest!
Good catch on the Alien skull, but a bit of trivia is the skull you were calling a dinosaur skull is actually a modified skull of the Kothoga, the main antagonist creature from the movie The Relic, which was also brought to life on the screen by Stan Winston.
Alien vs. Predator was an amazing fps horror game in the 90s. You play as either humans, predators or aliens, trying to kill the others... or as humans, trying to survive while your heart feels like it is jumping out of your chest every two seconds when invis predators and wall climbing aliens are hunting you down, and you can barely see anything Ps. I highly recommend Under Siege as your next action movie. Steven Seagal doesn't manage to ruin it, and it has amazing performance from Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey. It is from about the same era as thus movie. However, you can safely skip all other Steven Seagal movies
This is actually where the Alien & Predator crossover began, but it was not intentional. The prop-master in Predator 2 was also an Aliens fan and placed the Xenomorph skull there himself, it was not part of the storyline or at the direction of the production team. Fans picked up on it and it spurred the idea for the crossover comic series and eventually the films.
As disappointing as it was not to see Arnie in this one, this movie is still a fun ride; is criminally underrated, & did reasonably well enough at the box office to continue the franchise & cross it over too. What I love in the premise of this film is that the Predator still on the hunt, is now in a different type of jungle. I still haven't seen your reaction to Lethal Weapon yet, but have seen most of the movies in that franchise. I also love that Danny Glover, the actor you saw in Lethal Weapon as the level-headed cop who just wants wants to get to his 20 years & retire, is totally cast against type here as the loose cannon cop he didn't want for a partner. Once again another solid reaction from you that didn't disappoint❣
The Pistol that the Higher Up Predator gives Glover at the end, that will come in the Predator series again. I won't give anymore away, but it will. Good reaction. When I saw this, I was worried, but the movie is PREDATOR 2, not Arnold 2. LOL. Again, good Post, Dasha. And thank you for sharing it with us.
Arnold did not return for P2 because he was too busy filming Total Recall, Kindergarten Cop, and T2 during the same time Predator 2 was scheduled to be made. He was offered the script to P2 but he was not impressed enough to commit to a 4th film on top of his busy slate.
Predator 2: He’s in Town With a Few Days to Kill! Great tag line. This movie gets so little love and it’s pretty good. Another underrated sequel is the one for 2001, A Space Odessey, 2010: The Year We Make Contact. The reporter is played by a talk show host who was loud and obnoxious. His show only lasted a season or two. Skip the rest of the Alien and Predator movies and check out Alien vs Predator.
Great job Dasha! I always thought this was a good sequel and didn't understand why a lot of people, that I knew anyway, didn't like it. Since you seem to miss Arnold Schwarzenegger maybe you should react to Conan The Barbarian sometime, I think you'll like it. Keep up the great work.
dasha don't kniw if you noticed the guy who played Harrigan was in lethal weapon with danny glover, he played the guy who fought riggs at the end of lethal weapon
The whole Alien vs Predator mash up started before this film in the late 80’s in a popular and Successful comic book series by dark horse comics so it was already established that they are part of the same movie universe (An Alien vs Predator toy line was released around this time as well in the early 90’s) An actual Alien vs Predator film was finally released in the 2000’s.
A lot of the film (especially the behaviour of the predator) doesn't make a lot of sense when compared to the original, but I still remember this being very entertaining. It's pure excess.
Alien & Predator have had a shared universe since the Alien VS Predator (AvP) comics were first published in 1989, a year before this movie was released. they put the Xenomorph skull in there as a joke, but there have been AvP video games and 2 Avp movies in recent years
It's probably not a dinosaur, but there are aliens out there just the same. Prey would be a great movie to follow up as it's the best next movie in the franchise
Wonderful reaction. This movie expanded on Yautja (Predator species) cultural practices, adding to Predator lore. The Predator and Alien movies were both released by 20th Century Fox. Even big budget movies need to stick to a budget, so when the movie art department needed varied background skulls they made some of the big pieces -- but grabbed the Xenomorph underskull previously shipped over from England (IIRC) from the 1st Alien movie from the Fox prop department in order to save money, little realizing that displaying it would cause speculation of a potential upcoming crossover. One hell of a visual tease. 🙂 The Alien Vs. Predator (AvP) films are non-canonical to either film franchise, and exist in their own little shared microverse. I watched the 1st AVP film with a huge audience, and everyone had a wonderful time even if the critics panned the movie. Watch the 1st AvP film, and the 3rd and 4th Alien movies so we can see your reactions. I have only seen the 1st two Predator movies, but I hear that the most recent one "Prey" is terrific.

The Aliens franchise and the Predator franchise are linked if for no other reason than at the time 20th Century Fox Studios owned both franchises. So in this movie they alluded to the linkage between the species. It makes the species we know as the predators even more dangerous and fearsome that they actually hunt the xenomorphs (aliens). The history that is about to unfold for you when you watch the crossover AVP movies and the future predator movies gives some nice insights.

Don't forget that Bill Paxton completes the SciFi trifecta of being the only actor to be killed by a Terminator, a Yautja, and a Xenomorph.
There's a few Lethal Weapon crossover people in this.
@@Ambaryerno Wrong! You better add Lance Henriksen as he was killed by the Yautja in AvP.
@@johncampbell756 I haven’t forgotten Gary Busey. Dasha already got him and Danny Glover. No need to mention them again. 🙂

Lance Henriksen did too.

I'm glad you reacted to this movie! I love the first two Predator movies! This movie was meant to be a lot bloodier, but the studio had to make them to edit out the nasty parts out of the movie. I'm glad you got the alien connection! There is an Alien vs Predator movie and I hope you watch it someday! When you do get to the Alien vs Predator movie I highly recommend you check out the extended edition of the movie! Great reaction, Dasha! :D
Fun fact:
The big dinosaur looking skull on the predators trophy wall is actually a krayt dragon skull, from the star wars universe.
@@thenickhelms84 Do you like Kottor games? I was introduced to Krayt Dragon's there for the first time.
"If an alien and a Predator were to meet who would win?"

2:34 ...."Vamonos means faster faster, right?"..... Technically, "Vámonos" is translated as "Let's go" or "let's get outta here" (Eg: "Vámonos al parque=Let's go to the park" / "Vámonos de este bar=Let's get outta this bar"), but in this situation (and them being latin-americans) "vámonos" do mean faster, although the word "faster" is translated as "más deprisa" or "apurate" (depending if is European Spanish or Latin-american Spanish).....
Please continue with the rest of the sequels! This has been alot of fun with ya!

If you have access to Hulu, there is a new Predator movie called Prey set in 1719 that’s really good. It also references the pistol Danny Glover receives at the end of Predator 2.
The thug in yellow on the train used to be my dad's therapist 🤣. Love your reactions
"Why Did He Keep It?"
He's a trophy hunter, Dasha
If you remember Busey, the FBI agent in this film, was the villain in Lethal weapon
One thing that annoys me about the predators... sometimes they are incredibly fast and agile, like a ninja, and then other times they are like big slow moving brutes when it's time to fight one on one!
I would say it's the folly of fiction but even people act this inconsistent.
Another genuine and authentic reaction by our favourite superstar, Dasha. Keep up the good work! ;)
8:29 "This is yuck!" Hilarious!
Officer Harrigan was an absolute force in this movie. The angriest angry black man meme, directed at an impossible enemy
Excellent reaction - as usual!
Now that you know that the Predators and Aliens share a universe, you should watch the Alien Vs. Predator movies. They deviate a bit from the 'parent movies', so be aware of that; but they are generally pretty good. There are some *really* good jump-scares in them!
*Enjoy!*
I love how you instantly recognised the Alien skull. Your perception in these reactions never fails to impress me.

You know, they made a _movie_ about that.
very fun piece of trivia, for your question about who would win between the two species, without that much spoiler talk, the tag line for the promotional material was "whoever wins, we lose."
Ohhh Sh1t... Are you serious? hahahaha, I love Dasha
You play as either humans, predators or aliens, trying to kill the others... or as humans, trying to survive while your heart feels like it is jumping out of your chest every two seconds when invis predators and wall climbing aliens are hunting you down, and you can barely see anything
Ps. I highly recommend Under Siege as your next action movie. Steven Seagal doesn't manage to ruin it, and it has amazing performance from Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey. It is from about the same era as thus movie. However, you can safely skip all other Steven Seagal movies
Lmao, *Steven Seagal doesn't manage to ruin it" that makes it watch worthy alright.
"Steven Seagal doesn't manage to ruin it." They should put that on the movie poster.

One of the best action movies ever.

It could be too much for a person to fight more than one predator
Prey (2022) directly connects to Predator 2. I'd recommend that one next.
Love the original uncut version of a Dasha reaction, before everything on UA-cam had to be 'G' rated
"Testosteroni" is my new favorite word, and meal
Pretty 😛😍

"who would win between alien and predator?". Well there was a great arcade games that perfectly answers that, Alien Vs Predator.
dasha don't kniw if you noticed the guy who played Harrigan was in lethal weapon with danny glover, he played the guy who fought riggs at the end of lethal weapon
Alien & Predator have had a shared universe since the Alien VS Predator (AvP) comics were first published in 1989, a year before this movie was released. they put the Xenomorph skull in there as a joke, but there have been AvP video games and 2 Avp movies in recent years
Got the impression the "that's my sister" approach didn't impress our girl Dasha very much.
Great and fun reaction as always 😁👍 Predator 2 is one of those movies that's a guilty pleasure for me
I had it already forgotten that _Maria Conchita Alonso_ and Salsa singer _Rubén Blades_ were on this film.
It's probably not a dinosaur, but there are aliens out there just the same. Prey would be a great movie to follow up as it's the best next movie in the franchise
there is an Alien vs. Predator move (AVP) - its starts slow but picks up toward the end. You may enjoy "Prey" - it also shows that gun gift
The Alien Vs.
You're the first reactor in a long time to recognize the alien skull 🤣 from the movie alien ! That trophy that the elder predator gave Danny Glover's character which is the pistol gun that shows you how long they've been coming to Earth and hunting us as prey if you Google 1715 pistol predator you will get the back story on it from the comic book version then if you really want movie version of the backstory of the pistol from 1715 watch the new movie Prey and keep an eye out for the pistol a lot of people have missed it in reactions LOL I'm glad you enjoyed this movie it's very underrated it's by far my favorite predator movie out of all of them
Dasha! I love your beautiful smile and when you say " I see, I see" 😊
y'know as many times as i've seen this movie, and seen many a reactions, i never once caught that bloody hand prints scaling the wall when danny went back to the scene, till you Dasha pointed it out. I just pushed it off as blood scatter.

The Predator is looking for a worthy target. So the gang members are just a way to draw in a bigger target.
The "Agent was Gary Busey. He was also killed (by Danny and Mel Gibson) in Lethal Weapon.

@@waterbeauty85 A very manly pasta.
Bill Paxton is the best. And the only one who has achieved the super-triple= Predator, Aliens and The Terminator. Man is a Legend.
