  • Jack Palance talks about paper clips. It seems impossible: entwining without touching. A true paradox. In fact, insoluble, self contradictory...a downright irrationality.

When I was a little kid, I would frequently imitate his voice when playing in my room alone.

When freaking Jack Palance makes paper clips sound awesomely terrifying, you know that’s how great an actor he was.

That he could I would have loved to have seen an audio drama or a movie with him versus Vincent Price versus David Warner.... The voice power alone between those three men could make even the most timid looking character seem like the most menacing thing ever

Jack's voice is like unintentional ASMR. Deep and gravelly but at the same time very soft, gentle and soothing. A terrific actor who'll always be sorely missed but has left behind a remarkable legacy to always enjoy and remember him by. R.I.P.

    I remember this effect.
What astounds me is how anybody figured it out in the first place.

My mom had her own business when I was a kid, and I would link all of her paper clips together. She was never amused. 😂

Oh, good lord. The trick is not to touch them *when they join together* ... He didn't touch them when they connected, did he? And that's exactly what was supposed to happen. He did do it. Believe it ...... or not.
