This guy answer almost all my questions ❓ but I just got mine today from att because they installed it themselves the only problem is it turns white and in a few minutes later goes back to Orange and no Internet yet it's a little like the technician is going to have to come out here soon
Thank you very much for that. So when it goes white then orange. It could be that the gateway is defective or not receiving enough power. Those power plugs go bad sometimes.
Non of these were my Issue… INTERNET WORKING FINE…. As i was watching TV then all of a sudden… No internet on tv go to check the box and theres the red light… Check all the conections both inside the house and ouside and everything looks good… i even checked it was all the way in (cables)… live alone so nobody else was in the house when it happened… 🤷🏽♂️
Our router has been in the attic for 2 days and it's overheating right now. Do I need a new router or do I need to take it apart to let it cool? I of course will move it from the attic because this Texas heat is crazy right now. (Btw I reset it and it's still beeping red)
needs to be indoors anything above 85° will end up destroying the gateway. Was it installed by technician in the attic? When was the last time it was working?
@@purewhips1 hey (●’◡’●)ノ Thank you for texting back and yes a technician installed it in the attic but he warned us about overheating, I thought that was the problem. The actual problem was just a power outage lol. Once again THANK YOU ☺️.
Rumba caught the line and ripped it out of the wall. I inserted the 22g wire back in, but no luck. I can feel it grab, but no bueno. Is it not that simple? Thanks!
Recently. This whole blinking white thing is needing a new gateway. Something has happened to the IP address and no longer seeing the public from what the techs have said. Call in a repair ticket or have them send you a new one.
Hi my friend. I noticed on my box I have the red sfp plug but am only paying for 1gbps. Can that cause any issues? I've been having some but will spare the trouble of story for now.
Hello! No that will not cause any issue. The fiber signal coming in to the gateway is at a high frequency needing that red spf. You can go as low as 100/100 and up to 5000/5000 If you have issues at any speed. Then att needs to run a fiber check on the service.
@@purewhips1 I appreciate this first reply, I'm not sure what time it is where you are so I'm thankful. If you cna answer the next question, great if not no prob. My symptoms are, I actually turned off the wifi side of the box to use my own eero system. I decided to plug in other devices into the back, the 3 yellow ports, to get max speeds. Such as my pc, ps5. Whether I was plugged in the back with extra devices, or I just used to one blue 5gbps port for my eero, I will see the bgw320-505 flash a white light, then red solid for about 3 seconds then back to solid white again. It happens intermittently and only does this for about 10 seconds max. However I have lost connection at times on my plugged in devices, as well as over wifi, even when the att box and eero says we are good to go. Last tidbit, is when using the wifi, I've lost my wifi 6e connection that I had before. I was on a broadband (copper cable) 1gbps connection and could use 6e. At worst I'll schedule a tech. Thanks for reading if you do.
Alarm on the ONT will be red if there is no signal going to that modem. You can do Anything with out proper tools. So call in a ticket for it. Don’t unplug anything at all.
I’m watching this on UA-cam web with a slow red light, strictly using Wi-Fi on my phone, TV still working, BUT Snapchat & UA-cam app won’t work…… the hell does this mean? 🤣🤣
If you didn’t get an SFP. then that means you have a modem somewhere where you will connect that Ethernet from the 010 to the bgw320 on the Ont red port.
@Supreme-lh8zs well heck. Make a call to att and have them push the registration. Also. Make sure that you’re gateway front light is solid white and not blinking green or red.

It’s an issue with the network. They need to send out a tech to repair this.
How do I take that silver piece you placed in the sfp area? Switching modems and I need that
There is a lever on the side of it after you unplug the fiber line that should get you going

Becoming more and more difficult just to install some damn wifi!
Yup. But Wi-Fi is becoming more and more stronger. Reason needing for the best you can get.
My cat chewed the wire and I got a fiber cable that doesn’t fit that metal box looking thing. What to do?
For sure call att and tell them the line seams to be broken. They will send a tech.

Should be just an Ethernet cord.

Can I buy an sfp cable to plug in to stop getting disconnections?
I don’t know if you can just buy one.
You might just have to get some from att.
Mine is just blinking white any advice we tried allot of things like resetting it
Blinking white. Did it ever update on that smart home manager app?
@@purewhips1 well i have no clue but it just turned back on guess it needed a few minutes to boot back up idk i’m not educated in my wi-fi lol
@delaybtw5965 download that smart home manager and log into it. It will let you know if it’s got a low signal or now.
What if you’re on the ONT, red cable
On the Ont red cable??
Is it plugged in?
Is the alarm on?

Heck I know a few att techs that I can call for small stuff like this too.
How did you get it fixed
@ Kidsmurf11
My dog pulled that green cord from outside on the wall. I’m lost
You can either call AT&T and have them send you a technician with the data cable or run to Best Buy and see if they have a two pair data cable
And if it’s a fiber, you will definitely need to have AT&T send you a text
@@GtGamerGc thank you
