Hello, Listeners! And Creeps. This is Meg, popping in to say I have read your comments about the price of shipping our merch to the UK and Canada. It was a surprise to me as well. Kaitlin deserves some sort of special lifetime achievement award for dedication. Who else has ever been waterboarded while having a broken back for a movie or television show??
Literally waterboarding Kaitlin just because they spent all their money on a Ghostbuster song and couldn’t afford a safe towel is the most Sunny thing they could do! 😂
Kaitlin doesn't get enough credit for her physical comedy or maybe she does what do I know. But her gagging on stage trying to do her stand up is hilariously real plus the falls, and now being waterboarded.
You could tape a ziplock bag to the backside of the towel to prevent injury, lol. Hell you could just put tape on the back of it to help decrease the amount of water that goes threw and it wouldn’t change the visual
@@yegmeshjwp ya Sunny fans give her credit for the crazy things she does but this is Hollywood & there’s tons of other actors that do their own stunts. Just won a very old argument, I knew that Kaitlin took the water boarding for real. This performances like this are why she's a comedy goddess. True G.
Water boarding isn't that bad. It's just that when you are held in a tiny, dark, cold prison for weeks, being underfed, and then waterboarded every day, it starts to become torture. Like the J6 protestor that was held in illegal in-humans conditions without access to his legally guaranteed speedy trial with an impartial jury. He was tortured for a year and a half, coerced into lying in court, convicted by a partial jury of his political opponents, and then he killed himself awaiting a sentence he was tortured and forced to give. Tell a trespassing person to come back in 18 months for a trial to determine your 6 figure fine and he won't kill himself
The fact they couldn't pay actors to talk alot of the time gave the older episodes so much charm cause their expressionless responses to the gangs antics just somehow made it funnier.

The part where Frank waterboards Dee is the most hilarious scene in "It's Always Sunny" for me. I remember watching it for the first time and was absolutely hysterical.
First three minutes in and Glenn is right, and I'm not advocating for socialism or communism. The founders knew the importance of corporations, that they had a role to play, but foresaw the potential harm they could cause to the fledgling democratic republic. There's a reason all states require a business to incorporate, charter, register - or whatever various terminology that essentially means the same thing - with the state. Thomas Jefferson said he hoped to "crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country." James Madison wrote that "incorporated companies with proper limitations and guards may, in particular cases, be useful; but they are at best a necessary evil only." Despite being aware of the potential harm businesses may cause the democratic republic, they ultimately seem to have failed to adequately address the problem, considering most all of our politicians are bought off by corporate America.
It's kinda sad isn't it that what you're saying could be mistaken as wanting socialism or communism when speaking to American people for just stating facts and caring about workers? We're in a sad state.
Every American should be advocating for more socialism in your mixed economy - the problem is a sever imbalance that's getting worse. Look to capitalistic majority mixed economy Scandinavian countries for an example of what America should strive for.
@@Rob_Cary it's necessary. If you do not want ANY corporations whatsoever, you are a communist. If you want only corporations, you're a believer in unregulated capitalism. If you want to destroy corporations, what do you replace it with? You have to establish exactly what you want. Because OP just said he does not like corporations and he agrees with Dennis who said, "We need to destroy all corporations." So either you agree wholeheartedly, in which case the fuck do you want to be called? Or you don't agree wholeheartedly in which case someone should probably say what you actually want done
This is my favorite episode of Sunny and has been for many years. I laugh so hard every time I revisit it; there are so many classic lines in this episode.
This was the first episode I ever saw of Sunny and still my all time favorite. Any time I want to introduce someone to the show I tell them to start with this one
Socialist Dennis would be an amazing arc. Let's make the most anti-social, narcissistic and self-interested character in Sunny into a member of the Democratic Socialists of America...but only so he could feel morally superior to the rest of The Gang
@@basicindiebro idgi...he's a rapey white man with NPD from an upper-class background, an Ivy League education that hasn't bettered him in any way, and who constantly talks over and insults women when he's not trying to bed them. How is that compatible with socialist orgs??
@@noconsent as far as I know Dee is just a mainstream Democrat, she's definitely not a socialist which would be a whole new layer of potential comedy for a Sunny character. I would go nuts if Dennis started accusing the Gang of sounding like total Trotskyists for apolitical reasons, just because he overheard some younger crypto-Maoist DSAers and wanted to fit in. I could definitely see Dee as a frustrated target of many drunken polemics from Comrade Dennis though
I suppose so, it kinda fits his existing character arc. I guess Mac already encapsulates the also morally superior Catholic boot-licking insecure self important right wing conspiracy morons. And Charlie portrays the rest of us who are too dumb and distracted to give a fuck.
Charlie is so funny is this episode. Wildcard. Also I'd love to support and grab some merch but it's 90$ shipping to Canada, and I can't bring myself to it but I love you guys ❤️
yup - same here guys - would love to order a hoodie but those international shipping charges to the uk make this hoodie crazy expensive - hopefully this changes in the future
I realize that shipping to Canada is, by definition, “International” but come on! $90 is ridiculous! If the merch was headed to Botswana I could understand but Canada ?!?!
In total for a hoody in the UK it costs £140! I love the guys so much but 60 for a hoody and 80 for shipping is just undoable, especially with how poor people are right now.
@@adamc4576 yea it's 59.99 plus the 90 shipping plus tax so probably around the same to be honest. Sucks tho cause I want one. But hopefully us mentioning this gets a fix 😃
I play a game where I judge the quality of the episode based on how much of the podcast is dedicated to talking solely about the episode. And for this ep, you can tell it was fantastic. They stick on topic pretty much the whole way through. The gang solves the gas crisis is definitely a classic.
I've been rewatching the series along with you guys (I'm not a creep, just a guy who needs podcasts to listen to at work and shows to watch at night) and I think The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis was the best episode of the show to that point. You find the perfect line between ridiculous and true, and Charlie's crazy really comes into focus nicely. I'll keep doing the rewatch with you, but I also hope you keep doing the podcast after you run out of episodes.
This is my favorite episode of the show and it's really cool to hear some of the behind the scenes stuff that happened on it. I think one of my favorite parts was the door-to-door gasoline sales part haha. "And I'm not gonna take no for an answer..." ... "Johnny law's a comin'!'
Have you watched the show? Dee does outrageous physical comedy all the time. I doubt anyone forced her to do anything. She's dedicated to her craft. I'd say it reflects positively on her ... Not negatively on the guys ... Seems like you may have it twisted here.
@@zerosai Well there are many ways to indicate jokes/ sarcasm in text and you used none of them. Made it seem like maybe you were confusing their characters for them. Toxic Masculinity is a true problem in our culture. But I also see a lot of "Feminists" jump at shadows and try to paint all men with that brush, whether from trauma or just plain ignorance. And those kinds of generalizations aren't helping anyone . I just don't see the gang that way, so I got a bit defensive. :-)
Personally my favorite episode when I first started watching this show at 11 but now that I’m 22 still this one and the gang sells out / the gang hits the road so happy we get to listen to these guys On a regular basis now !!

As a one-time listener of the Rooster Teeth and Off Topic podcasts, this is surreal. Those guys were avid fans of Always Sunny and they used a lot of phrases from the show. Now I'm watching the actual cast say the EXACT same things years later.
One of my favorite episodes! That scene when Charlie delivered that famous line and jumped out of the van, that was as the biggest and longest laugh of the series at the time for me. Pure GOLD! We all could have been the brains, but it was quickly decided I was the Wildcard. I even had T-shirts made. Just wish this episode of the podcast was longer!
Glenn is correct. I’ve lived in Mississippi and Kentucky my entire life. I’ve been to every other southern state multiple times. I’ve never heard the Foghorn Leghorn or Francis Underwood accents in real life.

Laughed my whole ass off at Rob holding the phone up for dummy Glenn so he could see
First three minutes in and Glenn is right, and I'm not advocating for socialism or communism. The founders knew the importance of corporations, that they had a role to play, but foresaw the potential harm they could cause to the fledgling democratic republic. There's a reason all states require a business to incorporate, charter, register - or whatever various terminology that essentially means the same thing - with the state.
Thomas Jefferson said he hoped to "crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country."
James Madison wrote that "incorporated companies with proper limitations and guards may, in particular cases, be useful; but they are at best a necessary evil only."
Despite being aware of the potential harm businesses may cause the democratic republic, they ultimately seem to have failed to adequately address the problem, considering most all of our politicians are bought off by corporate America.
It's kinda sad isn't it that what you're saying could be mistaken as wanting socialism or communism when speaking to American people for just stating facts and caring about workers? We're in a sad state.
@@Rob_Cary I mean it's understandable, red scare propaganda never really stopped, even outside the US
Every American should be advocating for more socialism in your mixed economy - the problem is a sever imbalance that's getting worse. Look to capitalistic majority mixed economy Scandinavian countries for an example of what America should strive for.
can't fix capitalism without a little socialism buddy
@@Rob_Cary it's necessary.
If you do not want ANY corporations whatsoever, you are a communist. If you want only corporations, you're a believer in unregulated capitalism. If you want to destroy corporations, what do you replace it with?
You have to establish exactly what you want. Because OP just said he does not like corporations and he agrees with Dennis who said, "We need to destroy all corporations."
So either you agree wholeheartedly, in which case the fuck do you want to be called? Or you don't agree wholeheartedly in which case someone should probably say what you actually want done
This was the very first episode I ever watched and I never looked back. Watched every season so many times. Love you guys!
Glenn really representin' the working class this ep
This is my favorite episode of Sunny and has been for many years. I laugh so hard every time I revisit it; there are so many classic lines in this episode.
The Corporation is a great doc- I still show it to people if the moods right. Good shout Glenn
18:50 charlie described my favorite scene. Straight man vs the Gang acting insane
This was the first episode I ever saw of Sunny and still my all time favorite. Any time I want to introduce someone to the show I tell them to start with this one
Thank you so much, Glenn, for standing up for the nuance of the Southern accent! It's true that it's misunderstood.
Socialist Dennis would be an amazing arc. Let's make the most anti-social, narcissistic and self-interested character in Sunny into a member of the Democratic Socialists of America...but only so he could feel morally superior to the rest of The Gang
They kinda do that a lot with Dee. But if the twins teamed up and did it together... yeah that's an episode for sure.
As a former member of a socialist org, I think he’d fit right in 😂
@@basicindiebro idgi...he's a rapey white man with NPD from an upper-class background, an Ivy League education that hasn't bettered him in any way, and who constantly talks over and insults women when he's not trying to bed them.
46:14 Dennis arousing himself to his own drawings is legendary🎨🎭💥
Charlie is so funny is this episode. Wildcard. Also I'd love to support and grab some merch but it's 90$ shipping to Canada, and I can't bring myself to it but I love you guys ❤️
yup - same here guys - would love to order a hoodie but those international shipping charges to the uk make this hoodie crazy expensive - hopefully this changes in the future
I realize that shipping to Canada is, by definition, “International” but come on! $90 is ridiculous! If the merch was headed to Botswana I could understand but Canada ?!?!
Just ship it to Chinaz because they don't pay shipping. Then ship it to your country
Kaitlin is the Tom Cruise of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia insisting to do her own stunts!
Sex doll Dennis with the duster is a peak level of golden God I’ve never seen
What sex doll? He's simply peaking so hard that he's getting off....... Prudence
This podcast is the best way to start the week. It gives me the energy to power through my Mondays! I hope it never ends!
the physically counting gasoline joke is by far one of my favorite Sunny jokes 😂
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes ever. Its just comedy overload same as them reacting to dennis dummy :D
OK I'm now even a bigger Glenn Howerton fan. What he said about corporations at the start... They're the greatest threat to our civilization for real.
They are the most efficient method for allocating resources that humanity has ever discovered. If you got rid of them everyone would be worse off.
our civilization would collapse without them. You know it's true.
@@Drunkandorstonedontheinternetbased on what evidence?
There are far more examples of failed corportations than successful ones.
@@SineN0mine3 Nothing you said has any relevance to what I said.
Meg your thoroughness is seen and acknowledged homie. Stay hard working Queen.
Had the worst night. Dog having 4 seizures in one night. Thank you for making this to give me a giggle
This is my favorite episode of the show and it's really cool to hear some of the behind the scenes stuff that happened on it. I think one of my favorite parts was the door-to-door gasoline sales part haha. "And I'm not gonna take no for an answer..." ... "Johnny law's a comin'!'
rob: "we don't make women do anything..."
unless we need to waterboard them on camera while they have a broken back!
She had every opportunity to say no but didn't. That's practically consent!
@@AdamRhodes536 Because of the implication.
Have you watched the show? Dee does outrageous physical comedy all the time. I doubt anyone forced her to do anything. She's dedicated to her craft. I'd say it reflects positively on her ... Not negatively on the guys ... Seems like you may have it twisted here.
@@MrJarlaxle23 buddy, i made a joke. i love the show and i made a friendly joke in jest. relax
whoever does graphics for the pod, you’re doing great, so appreciated!
much love, creep
Glenn talking himself into rage while he was talking about the fire effect is yet another example that he's just playing himself on the show
Personally my favorite episode when I first started watching this show at 11 but now that I’m 22 still this one and the gang sells out / the gang hits the road so happy we get to listen to these guys On a regular basis now !!
I like to imagine when Charlie was acting out “Wild car bitches” and jumped out to the green screen, Danny was behind the camera screaming “TELL PEOPLE WE PUSHED YOU”
I watch at least 3 episodes everyday for the last prob 9 months. And can't stop watching. Been favorite show for so many years.. thank you all for making that show!! I CANT STOP WATCHING
Pure GOLD!
When this came out, a group of my best friends and I then started to try to figure out who was who in the group based on this episode’s criteria. We all could have been the brains, but it was quickly decided I was the Wildcard. I even had T-shirts made.
Just wish this episode of the podcast was longer!
I love the fact that Danny DeVito basically committed a war crime lol.
that we know of
Mac getting up and showing the Dennis doll the picture on his phone killed me. Idk if that was on purpose of if he’s just that committed but wow
“How are you planning on counting a liquid?” 😂
The fact that they can't even understand gallons
Glenn is correct. I’ve lived in Mississippi and Kentucky my entire life. I’ve been to every other southern state multiple times. I’ve never heard the Foghorn Leghorn or Francis Underwood accents in real life.
I'm with Rob they both seem like sweet, sophisticated, nice, busy young ladies.
Charlie and Glenn do keep busy it’s great to see
Personally my most favorite podcast episode yet! Love hearing about the behind the scenes moments and the details of how things were done.
I 100% agree with Glenn re: Kevin Spacey's ridiculous accent on House of Cards.
Something about that guy... just don't like him, I dunno.
@@AdamRhodes536lol
This was my favorite episode! I laughed for so long at the "WILD CARD BITCHES, YEEHAW!" when he cut the brakes! 😄 I had to watch again and then laughed just as hard when I heard the guy, whose car gets blown up, say "OH GOD DAMN IT!"
Megs production value is underrated.
I think it’s rated
Extremely rated...rated as fuck.. exactly rated
My favorite part of the Ghostbusters song is when he goes "Ya know bustin' makes me feel good!".
