There are more than 2 religions in Nigeria. The traditional religion is a 3rd major religion. In every family especially in the south western part ( Yoruba), the have people practicing each and every of the 3 major religions. In my family for instance, there are muslims, Christians and traditional worshippers. Olua is worshipped on my mother's side. Logun ede is worshipped on my father's side. They co-exist without conflicts. * The youtuber spelt Yoruba wrong.

You can't say Nigeria has ONLY two religions - traditional religions are widely practiced and still respected in many corners. Also, while there are three "main" ethnic groups they are not the only dominant group. Among other noteworthy groups are the Ijaw (South-South/Port Harcourt), Edo (Benin City), Efik/Ibibio

I have tried without luck to explain this fact to people. Nigeria have a very complicated political system which was leased from America and Britain and we have not ma aged to make work. It is why the FG can have a spending system which is totally different from the nation's spending. Then we have the states with the powerful governors. The senate and the powers they hold in their constituencies which make them feared. The members of the national House of assembly. The state Houses of assembly in 36 states. Unlimited commissioners. Several ministers and ministers of state. We have not spoken of special advisers and special assistants and special girlfriends of all these people. This are the controllers of the 80% but there is the indigenous private sector which is hugely responsible for the success story of Nigeria.

    Couple of corrections.
    1. There are actually over 500 languages spoken in Nigeria. Unfortunately some of the languages and people are getting extinct so the part about the 200 languages is wrong.
    2. The religion bit as well. Sonics Christianity, Islam and the traditional worship that is related to our folklore. This traditional is kept alive and you can even find traces of it brazil and haiti. I recommend you watch more than a country on Netflix it will shed more light on the traditional worship.

This guy is just about 40% right. His statistics are wrong or old.
    1. Nigeria is currently about 210 million.
    2. Housa and Fulani are two different ethnic groups. House/Fulani is just political and manipulative to edge other ethnic group in Nigeria.
    3. The percentage of 18% IGBO, 21% YORUBA and 29% HOUSA statistics are just political. Eg, after the indigens of every city in Nigeria, the second most population are the IGBOS where'as 96% of the population in IGBO Cities and Towns are IGBOS. You cannot travell 4killometers in IGBO Land without seeing a village,Town or City but in the North between Bauchi and Maidugri is 56killometers with no Hut at sight talk of a City. They have MORE LAND MASS but not more population.
In Lagos the YORUBAS are just about 3% more than the IGBOS in population to be honest so how can any of these tribe be more populated than the IGBOS. It is just pure politics. Everything political is tribalized in Nigeria just to egde other groups the reason for the political problems in Nigeria apart from the insecurity by the Fulani JIHADIST trying to grab indigenoues poeple's Land and convert them to Islam. IGBOS are more populated followed by YORUBAS the HOUSA to be honest,
The three major groups are IGBOS, YORUBA and HOUSA. The FULAS are in the minority
    4. Apart Christianity and Islam there are Pagans and Animists.

But the dominant religions are Islam and Christianity. Not everyone in the North is a Muslim. I have family and friends who live there and there are Northerners in the South as well... Also it's Yoruba not Yuroba.
