I am yet to find any African country with music that Kenyans don't support. Kenyans are into all the music of Africa. The comment section is theirs. They are just supportive and love others naturally. It is a spirit of Ubuntu that comes naturally to them & having met some Kenyans in my life, it is quite special to have them embrace you. I'm Zimbabwean btw

We just want to teach them (Nigerians) how to say the word KENYA
      It's not KEYA, or KEA
also, don't say Kenia or KEN-YA (as in can ya?)
THIS IS HOW YOU SAY IT: *Kenya*
emphasis IS on - NYA. the *nya* must be pronounced.

How were these guests selected? It seems like the setup where they bring unprepared women to podcasts for debates. As a well-traveled Nigerian, I can say our country lags behind compared to other African nations, especially South Africa. However, most African countries are also close to failing, lacking strong structures to maintain any slight advantage over Nigeria. It's evident that the Kenyans at this table are more intelligent than the Nigerians on this panel. The title "Giant of Africa" doesn't automatically make us superior. Our greatest asset is our people, and Nigeria has more wealthy individuals compared to other African countries.

This is absolutely disgraceful, Africa should be 1 if it’s ever going to realize its potential and have a case at the world stage. This is pushing the colonizer agenda of division, while Congo is being scraped of its minerals, 14 African countries like Senegal and Cameroon are paying $500 billion colonial debt, there’s an unprecedented talent drain, China is farming our people, external corporates are dispossessing the continent of its essential sectors like ports, energy, agriculture, etc, etc. Stop pushing this Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania fake rivalry, and let’s start talking about things that really matter like being a united state‼️

Every African is vital to each other. However, the reason we Nigerians say we are the Giant of Africa is that our population is more significant than every other African country. Three out of six Africans is a Nigerian. In Africa, Nigerians are the most educated; during the South African apartheid, Nigeria played a pivotal role in a free South Africa. Nigerian. In Africa, Nigerians have more billionaires than any other African. I also agree that other African nations would be greater if there were corporations between each other.

Democratic Republic of Congo has the best music in Africa. They've been singing for 70plus years and their music is still amazing. The songs remain relevant, the musicians are evergreen, the genres are many, their music was exported outside Africa earlier, theyve been performing internationally longer until its part of their normal routine... Their musical body of work is incomparable.
The only advantage Nigeria has is that the music has English, which gives it more fuel to travel and be known because English is the language of the world. If the DRC was English speaking, the rest of us Africans wouldn't stand a chance globally. Congolese music and francophone African music has always been amazing.

Must good music be limited by language? Nigerians are equally good music wise! They have produced some very good musicians over the years! Fella was a music sensation internationally! Its genre is still affecting their music! Even music done in their native language is strong and travels internationally! Congo’s rhythm is one way!

I have to agree... I only just came to know about Nigerian music in the Internet UA-cam era. Prior to that it was all Congolese Rhumba music. Nigerian music is not even describable in terms of genre... it's mostly mish-mash of noise beats.

DRC has great music, right! But for you to say Nigerian use English in their music is just disingenuous, 90% of Nigerian songs are either in pidgin English or our local languages. Only 10% are in standard English.
No matter what you say you cannot undermine the fact that at a point Nigeria was literally the giant of Africa. Nobody is going to be at the top forever. Our music is it right now, tomorrow it'll be another country. Aren't we all witnessing how South Africa's amapiano is almost on par with afrobeat.

It brings pride also makes the country known globally but it doesnt help develop the country or create jobs..Nigerian musicians and Kenyan marathoners/Rugbg players are doing it for their own benefit so i would not fancy bragging on that i'll be stooping too low to their level of ignorance

Yes but that’s Kenya. Imagine the endless opportunities & relationships we can have if we had more similarities with each other. Swahili is already spoken in most East African countries so why not just make it an official common language besides the western tongues. We can achieve more with similarities than differences coz let’s face it, it’s not just the colonisers doing, tribalism has a big part to play in it also.
