So far, the best Nintendo game I received during the holidays was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. To this day, that game is very magical to me and I always discover something new on every playthrough. The next game that I would have to pick has to be LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which is, I cannot exaggerate, the best LEGO game of all time

Hey Tyler! I'm a big fan of your videos. Just recently I bought a mini NES for Christmas, and yesterday I downloaded a collection of Super Nintendo games on my Switch. They're a bit difficult, but they're still fun to play. I have a question for you: what was it like playing Mario Paint?

This is amazing, I just asked in your last video that my six year old son was asking if you got any of the Donkey Kong Country games. (he loves those right now and he watched me play through all three of them) and you told me you have footage of it and here it is. Thank you, you just made his day!

Theres only one SNES game I remember vividly getting as a kid, and it was Yoshi's Island. I remember going to Toys R Us with my father and picking it out in those tall plastic swinging cases that had the boxes you could look at, and then you pulled a tag of which game you wanted and took it up to the front counter to pick it up. It's really awesome that your family recorded all these memorys :D

What I wouldn't give to go back to this era of my life. Getting a brand new video game on Christmas as a kid during what I consider the Golden Age of video games. Having our grandparents look at what we got and pretending to be interested in the game we got but in reality they actually have no idea what this "Nintendo" thing is LOL. Good times.

I remember one Christmas getting Yoshi's safari on SNES and then finding out it needed a light gun to play it. My dad had to pretend that Santa would take it back in the middle of the night and exchange it for Mario kart. I think in the long run it was a blessing in disguise. I still play and absolutely love Mario kart to this day.

Dude!! I’m so glad I took John Riggs’ advice and subbed to your channel! It is AMAZING to watch these videos that are literal time capsules and evoke such a strong sense of nostalgia. I WISH my family would have recorded holidays and milestones like your family did, especially because for some reason I have almost no memories of my childhood. I don’t think it’s normal, but I only recall a very minuscule amount of things from my childhood and teenage years. It’s all so hazy and it really sucks because I was fortunate enough to have a pretty awesome childhood. Wish I could remember more about it. But yeah, I was born in 1987, so my Christmas’s were very similar to yours in regards to the gifts my brothers and I received. I feel so damn lucky to have been a child during the 90s and getting to experience such amazing NES, Snes, and Genesis games, as well as the systems that came after like PS1 and 2, Dreamcast, GameCube, etc etc. These videos help me to somewhat relive those years and remind me of how amazing they truly were, so thank you for giving me that gift!! Also, I just watched the video on your daughter’s Christmas and first off, she is so precious dude.. she reminds me so much of my niece, especially her reactions upon opening her gifts.. her expression with her mouth open 😮 and the way she goes “whaaaat?!” Haha so darn cute man! Secondly, I just want to say that it is blatantly clear that you are one great Dad! It is obvious how much you love and adore your daughter, and I think it’s so awesome that you’re continuing the tradition that your family started, with capturing these priceless moments on video. Now some day when your daughter is older she will have the privilege of being able to look back at those moments, and I can tell you how big of a deal that is and how badly I wish I could do the same. I love how you put your daughter onto gaming and you’re enabling her to experience the same joy video games provided you with as a kid. But yeah, I’ll stop with all the sentimental sappy talk now 😂 I just wanted to thank you for helping me to relive forgotten memories vicariously through you. I look forward to binging through all your videos man. Haha

2:19 Interesting because I never knew that they made a sequel to Zombies Ate My Neighbors and I grew up in the 90s.

    So many heavy hitters.
I got my snes in my Easter basket before Sunday church that morning. I took the snes manual with me to read over, anticipating getting home. I played Mario paint and sealed my fate as a Nintendo fanboy with super Mario world.

Yeah, that's one thing that I like about these videos. (young) Tyler by all rights should be a totally spoiled brat with all the stuff he gets but seems to still have the ability to show appreciation and gratefulness. Good job, mom and dad.
