@@basecampchrisGreat story& they're out there..Me personally if I was doing some hiking or Camping,I wouldn't be seeking these ( or those Dogman Creatures) out... They're best avoided and left alone at all costs..
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but what you said made me think about doing more than just liking your videos. So, I really appreciate that you do this. It's something I look forward to watching every Sunday morning! You do a great job.
Ever since I recently discovered your channel, I always look forward to Sundays. Make a hot cup of coffee, sit and listen to my favourite storyteller 😊
I could completely relate to this man's frozen fear. Brave to head back to the scene and get 'closure'. Should maybe have left a gift, fruit or something. Thanks for the great story and the lovely scenery. You are appreciated.
Thanks for the Sunday tradition Chris ! Always appreciate the time and effort you take out of your day to make these videos. My dad was a bush pilot here in BC Canada and flew hunters and fishermen into lakes only accessible by floatplane. He was a hunter himself and knew the area and landscapes well and all the animals that reside in British Columbia, or so he thought. One time probably around the late 80s or early 90s he was flying over the mountains between Kamloops and Merritt and he noticed this large black animal that he assumed was a big Bear standing on Two legs and we all know bears do stand on two legs but right when he makes a turn to get a closer look at it, it noticed the bright orange Float plane and starts running on two legs up the side of the mountain and my dad new right at that moment it was a big foot he was looking at as bears don’t sprint on two legs. My dad turned the plane around to get another look and it had disappeared into the tree line. Crazy stuff !
I cannot express well enough how this channel and your videos have made my days better and how I feel connected with the people that open up to you, Chris and share their experiences. It means the world to us that you take your time and make absolutely quality content for us. It is rare these days and it feels like a family coming here and interact with others. For people who believe like me, it's very refreshing to witness someone like your Chris, who take this matter seriously and never judge. Thank you Chris! God bless you always and simply thank you for take us through this journey with you!!! Let's all keep hiking!!!
Hola Chris I enjoyed your video as always. Thank you for taking us along. You’re still awesome as ever. Have a wonderful evening love and God bless.♥️💕❤️🙏🙏🙏😇👍
Thoughts & prayers to all those in Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia,& Florida… on account of Hurricane Helene! ( I still haven’t been able to get a hold of my friend in Murfreesboro just outside of Nashville)
I hope and pray that your friend is okay. I was born in Murfreesboro but I didn’t grow up there. My dad was stationed at the military base, Steward AFB.
Back in the day when Great Lakes Brewing was starting out in Cleveland Ohio I loved their brews so much I would go to the brewery & pick up a keg for my home. One time I called them because there was a mixup & my keg had not been cleaned so the brew was sour. Pat or Dan Conway (I can't remember which one of the owners) drove 35 miles to my house & brought my replacement keg in the trunk of his car. THAT is good customer service!
What an encounter, like an nightmare but its all real! Can't even begin to imagine what Shane's fear was like. Thank you for showing us your home state of Minnesota. Keep hiking 🥾🥾🙂

I like and enjoy how Chris tells his stories. I am VERY surprised this Man doesn't have at least 800% MORE subscribers. He isn't as crisp, clean and descriptive in the same way as Mr. Ballen but he is very good in my opinion. He is very natural and pleasant to listen to.
Oh awesome there's another episode this morning. Keep up the amazing job you do and thanks for making such original content. By far my favorite UA-camr. I'm from Sacramento and I have camped at many of these locations. I like your solo backpacking episodes, too. Thanks for all you do! 👍
I appreciate your efforts to bring us these video's Chris. Keep going please, you are a heck of a story teller and i really enjoy your channel. Light and Love everyone ❤😊
Thanks, Chris. I really enjoy your stories. I lived near Cherokee National Forest for 6 years and I found it to be a beautiful place with many isolated areas where things could exist and never be seen. I don’t doubt this story at all nor the fear the bow hunter experienced.
Love my storytime Sunday with BCC!!! Love the Great Smoky Mountains. Used to go every fall to see leaves colorful changes. Then over the mountain to Cherokee N.C. Qualla Boundary to see many attractions featuring the Cherokee people. So much history and beauty. Thank you Chris for Tennessee tale!!
Hi Chris, thank you very much for all your hard work n commitment to making these Videoes. We truly love ALL of your true stories and we always look forward to seeing you in your next Video. I think you definitely have a gift for story telling.. I am asking others to take a moment of silence and pray for our fellow Americans that have lost everything due to the hurricane..They have experienced such devastation.

Sasquatch don't harm people unless they're being attack. They have been aware of our presence. It was letting him know that he will not harm him but make him aware that he is in the forest.
Trying to fathom the intentions of a creature about which we know almost nothing is impossible but it does seem many of the encounters could be considered “playful” in an odd way considering they’re done by creatures 2-3 times the size of an adult human.
@@mrgreen2769 if the creatures is real and of the proportions described then he was at its mercy in every sense of the word. It could have not engaged as it has bushcraft beyond our best hunters and military personnel. So why do it if not to communicate and in making that choice and not choosing violence what else would it be communicating?
@@joshuapatrick682 Dealing with these creatures is a 1 and 10 000 chance. You may find one that isn't peaceful. They're very territorial and smart vrs your typical wildlife predator. If you really want to learn more about these creatures beyond what you hear, see or read then seek out native Indian throughout the US. They know just what type of creatures Sasquatch are. They'll tell you right off, avoid them when you can.
Love the Park Chris. When you were listing all of the things that live there, you were walking through the brush and couldn't help but think, you missed ticks! 😁
I have seen a presentation on YT where the speaker recounts how native folklore in his region (SC) recounts that young Sasquatch, as an initiation ritual, see if they can approach and touch a human without being detected. This sounds like similar antics.
Good Morning Chris..you are such a fantastic storyteller!!! This was a good one and makes me think of my dad who was a avid bow hunter..I always wonder if he ever saw a Sasquatch..cause he probably wouldn't say anything.

Chris, your time spent on these stories is much appreciated. My brother passed away last year, and we shared a fascination for these unusual tales our whole lives. Every Sunday I feel like I am still sharing this time with him. If ever you hang it up, know that every story was worth it and a great contribution to the genre.
