today is 30 jul 2022 On the occasion of racism and this video, in this week there are two racist cases without anything or justification. Young Greek Cypriots attacked a West, of black ethnicity, beating and insulting him. There was a video filming of this incident. That is why the TV channel agreed to show this incident, and there is another incident that happened with a woman who was hit by a Cypriot. He cursed her and said to her: This is my country and I will do to you what I want. Haha, these incidents are within a week, but there are many incidents that were not recorded in the video or not mentioned. I mean, every day there is racism and racist incidents that may work and they did not pay you, and you may face racism in a restaurant or in any public place
Thank you very much for sharing all these issues with us, I’ve seen and experienced it, even from countless people I met in my time in Cyprus. And I even see every single way they’re trying to manipulate me here on UA-cam, Facebook and Instagram with fake accounts coming inform of Nigerians or with our African names to try to deceive themselves not me, that they wants some informations about Cyprus etc. We are seeing their comments which shows who they really are. So that’s why I make this video for everyone to be alerts and know them.
As a Greek I am sick of those that cherry-pick some incident than ignore statistics. A minority if far far more likely to be murdered in African states than in Cyprus and in fact any place in Europe.. Playing racism card in regions that are far more tolerant is ridiuclous.
Nah,stop apologizing. Im fed up of black people complaining everywhere. Go see mainstream media, everytime racism. We other races also suffer,we dont have victim mentality, thats it.
I am so sorry Joel for what you you had to go through in my island. Unfortunately you said the truth. This behavior is not only for black people but also for people in Asia, etc. I feel ashamed. When I was a child I was watching a movie in TV - Kunta Kinte. A Gambian young boy who was a slave in USA. Since then I promise to myself never to to treat anyone bad because of his color and I am always step up to help someone who needs help. I really feel very sad. We have good people also. I really hope that you have met also good people in my island. Not all of them are bad. May God bless you and look after you !
The point is one... ALL AFRICANS here came from occupation area from Turkish army 1974 (turkish area) and came in Europe side as asylum seekers and NOT as turist as you said. Here in CYPRUS the 5% of polutalion are asylum seekers from Africa (Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Somalia, Siera Leone, Liberia and many others) , Syria, India , Pakistan, Vietnam , Bagladesh and other countries... all these people asking from goverment in cyprus ONLY money for help.. they create everywhere problems and they fight in the roads.. they are every night-day drunks and they use too much drugs. This country cannot accept other asylum seekers because not exist many jobs for them... The most of asylum seekers not have a job because are SO MANY and the jobs as a few. Europe has one law. First we give jobs to the locals (Cypriots if you are from Cyprus) , after to Europeans, after to people have a Visa and in the end to any Asylum seeker.... How all these people from Africa want oportunity and respect in Cyprus if they steal from the yard of houses everything and in the end, they cant to live as Europeans with the Europeans.. The Europe has a laws and these people they came from jungle without to respect anything.. THANKS
Cyprus is in Asia. Why do you keep talking about Europe? The Africans that jump over the walls in Ceuta are also not magically on another continent when they land back on the ground, they're still in Africa, just within the EU.
I am Greek from Greece and in Cyprus I get treated with disrespect by Cypriots because some don’t like that I am from Greece and have a different accent.
In 2020 and 2021 Cyprus population grew by 1% just from asylum seekers alone. Not 1% from all migrants, but just from the asylum seekers. This is the same as if the UK has to build a city the size of Bristol every year just to house them, or France a city the size of Lyon. Every. Year. Right now, living in Cyprus, you can see that it is a very, very real problem with very real effects on the people who live here. And all of this happening while COVID shut down 15% of the local economy, just doesn't help. This is why people here, right now, are not as happy about immigration, especially immigration of unskilled workers, as they normally are.
Exactly the same as is happening in uk and people are fed up of it. It's not sustainable to have these thousands of people turning up all the time, . You said it very well 👍
I don't doubt there is Racism in Cyprus. I've never seen it personally but I'm sure it happens. The main issue in Cyprus is Nothern Cyprus accepting African students to study in Universities in the North then these students are crossing the border into the EU and claiming asylum. Where I live in Parlimini there has been a noticiable increase in the last two years of African people sleeping rough on the streets. I feel so sorry for them I even give them food sometimes. Turkey is inviting Africans to study and then cross the border thus socially destabilising the South. This is the MAIN ISSUE and it needs to stop.
There's a reason for all the animosity, unfortunately the leftists started accepting refugees and now even normal people can't visit these places due to these kind of issues 😞
Blame Turkey for your 😂 racist people whattt!! Turkey has many black people living there no one is racist to them. They even have whole village in Mugla area where black people have been living there for generations and generations. ISLAM don't believe in racism. Go check who Bilal is in islam. You have IN SOUTH CYPRUS ONE OF THE MOST RACIST political parties the Golden dawn in power. Get tf out here with your NORTH propaganda
Wtf Cypriots get also less than 10€ an hour for most of their Labour what is he thinking you go to Europe and you will get rich right away ?what are you thinking?
Go ask African students how Turks treat them…. Don’t believe me go ask them … worse than slaves … ask them how much they demand them to pay for rent food water etc then you will see who’s the bad guy
If u don't like Cyprus u could always leave. Why is it immigrants expect people to fit in with them. All ditch their documents in the sea before landing !
@@OPRIME39 what? How does my comment give you the idea that being racist and Cypriot is mutually exlusive? Do you know what mutually exlusive means? 2 things that can't happen together at once. I never said you can't be Cypriot and racist at the same time.

I remember a TV interview with Muhammad Ali, the great american boxer. He told a story. He sad that after he became rich and famous he went to a high class restaurant in america and the waiter said to him... "Sorry Sir, we don't serve black people".... Muhammad Ali replied, "no worries man, i don't eat them!" Stay strong, be brave and speak out!
I'm so sorry this happened to you over there. I could never stand back and watch black people being mistreated and do nothing. I always step up for others. We are one !
I am a cypriot, and the things the say are so wrong. The come to Cyprus the government provides them with housing and money. There are black people working everywhere too. The ones that want to work work, the other ones don’t care and just get provided by the government. There are a lot of fights that break between them and there are video’s everywhere.Anyone is allowed to come but don’t come and sit around and not work and get paid by our taxes. The ones that dont care are the ones that makes us go against them. The thing he says is so wrong.
Just one question to provoke some thought = No one likes racism or anyone being mistreated for just being themselves. But at what point can the population be racist? with 10% new black people ,,,,20% ,,, what about 30% what about 50% of the population changing to non white native? At what point could the population say NO part of our identity is white and we don't want to change that? If the answer is no the native population could never object to the influx of black people then you are suggesting the black population has the right to destroy the native population and the native population must agree to its own destruction. The notion that one incoming culture has the right to force its way into another culture is an act of aggression it is a clear existential threat to a culture -- so what is the answer? By the way more then 50% of London is non native white. If a white person says this is an issue they are called racist..Maybe the people in Cyprus have a right to defend their culture? Do they have the right to defend their culture? how is that done? and what % of black people entering Cyprus is ok?
I am not Cypriot also and I live here for over 16 years. As a white person, I also received racism towards me bevause my nationality but..... I learned from that, I learned the language and respect. I stopped complaining about it and beeing a victim and guess what, now I am respected and I respect. More you complain, nore disappointed you will be and dragg you down.
Also, for the work and wage part, is not true. I know coloured people that reached a level and working in the same company, same salary as me. I think it has to do with the knowledge, status.....etc. Also, if you are not happy, leave somewhere else or seat and deal with it. Sorry if is sad but this is the reality
Came across your video while researching and planning my visit to Cyprus but after seeing this, i would rather take my family somewhere else, think i'll go to Spain instead. Thanks for the video man, very informative - so glad i saw it - no need going to a place where we are not welcome, its a shame really! :(
@@dukeroyal8158 I actually did, ended up in Italy 'Rimini' instead! These are the few sources of information that usually address such topics and the guy has been around Europe making his videos, surely he can't just start lying about Cyprus and not with other countries. Besides, there are so many holiday destinations to choose from, it's just not worth the hassle! There are plenty of other people not affected by the underlying issues so i'm sure they will visit, no biggie! 🙂
Obviously what he exprienced is sad, however western people always think they can come to a middle eastern country and try to change our culture and everything. Yes we are middle easterner, and yes we are different from europeans, if you dont like it, then dont come to Cyprus.
This video hurt and so true. The spiritual energy here is shit. My parents suffered here from their attacks and they were Greek Cypriot. God rest their souls. I hope you are ok.
I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm Greek, grown in Germany and I can attest how stupid many of them are. Especially on islands. There's 2 sides to the coin, I was traveling Tanzania by myself for a while and met many amazing loving people. However, some of them literally called me a whore because I was traveling by myself and they told me I'm there to get layed by their men. Which I later learned that some women indeed do that so they then project that onto everyone. I've lived in many different countries and sadly never experienced a place completely free of rasism. Even Bali. It's full of Russian people here right now and the way most of them speak about Indonesian or brown and darker skin is something I've never seen before. It's Humanity my brother. The demons in charge have done a great job in separating the f out of us. Keep it up. One love. One people ❤
I think all the immigrants should stay in their own countries & stand up to their own leaders!! They can't just arrive wherever they please & expect the Europeans to watch over them surely!? and feel self-righteous as if we owe them something, god only knows what? Poor Europe it WILL become more Islamic, that's their long term plans, remember this!! The great civilizations of Greece who gave everything we take for granted today & Rome too!
I was in Cyprus last year and I can so far tell you they are not bad people at all..they are very friendly people even at the airport they are good .if you get yourself in trouble that’s when you get bad treatment
How do you know he was a racist? maybe that is just his character of being unfriendly? I am from Israel, I like Africa and have many African friends who never make such an uprising just because a one case scenario. I have also met only nice people in Cyprus, maybe it is your inferiority complex of seeing things where the do not really occur? Even if he was acting bad, why are you attacking him verbally? do you want to be expelled from this country for threatening people verbally? Please be reminded you are a guest in their country and must behave accordingly.
I'm from Cyprus and I know that we are not the best country, but most tourists have beautiful moments there. And also most of us don't bully black people. ♥
Listen, my friend you’re not making videos about what’s happening in northern Africa, which are Arab ran nations in an African country where Black people are treated as subpar and spit upon and the women are abused. You’re choosing to pick countries in which are in your context, white people. However, how do you think if a white foreigner came to Africa and was in the middle of Africa do you think you would be treated very well or with respect or would he probably be killed or shunned out of the tribes? Don’t play these games man and try to spread misinformation racism only exist in the mind because there’s only one race the human race
It's true that the country is racist, but you have to understand that foreigners started coming to Cyprus not too long ago. When I went in the early 2000s, it was basically only Cypriots on the island. Now, all types of people visit Cyprus. That's the effects of globalism. Gotta give it time, just cause foreigners start coming into the country doesn't mean the country will be accepting. give it time.
Cyprus is a country that has been occupied by all different kind of countries in its history. Right now this land belongs to Cypriots, Turkey, Great Britain... Compared to the rest of Europe it has the most Immigrants. The occupied north plays a big role in this. Also Cyprus is one of the few countries left in Europe without a minimum wage. So basically everyone who works the "normal" jobs has a shitty salary compared to the rest of Europe. One thing I have learned as a non Cypriot, you cannot compare this system with any other European country...But what you will find here is very warm hearted people (yes they exist there) Coming to Cyprus to make money is a bad idea if you don't get a job in a law firm etc. So don't give up. Work hard and enjoy life. Be a blessing to the Cypriot people!
So we should give them time to treat people decently . Hmmm okay just because you are not use to a race you have to treat them poorly hmmm , i see. Why are we always the ones to be patient, that sounds so bad . I guess they don’t have internet or tv
@@desireepsillides5032 Cyprus is in Asia not Europe. Plus dont blame others for your problems. Everytime a Greek has problems they always blame Turks. Its just laughable.
"It's true that the country is racist, " Just saying such a broad statement indicates YOU are racist towards Cypriots. What Cypriots are hostile towards is ILLEGAL migrants regardless their background.. Cypriotsare far far more tolerant towards minorities than the countries illegal migrants are coming from bigot..
Oho simple as that, may God Almighty bless you my sister. How which our leaders will see this your comment and this video…you respect me, then I respect you…
Sir, about a long experience and I live in this country for about forty years and am married to a Cypriot and I work and have children and I stayed in Cyprus for my children and I have Cypriot citizenship and I am not African, but I resemble the Greek Cypriots, but no matter who you are, no matter how long you live and whatever you do, you will remain in their eyes ridiculous, strange and especially if If you are brown or black African, it is impossible for anyone to respect you or not to face racism even from the heart of the state, the judiciary and the people. There is no right or justice for you and much, much more.
What I read is sad. I thought we had eradicated racism in Europe and that these were accidents, but apparently they are not. Such people have no place in the EU.

We cannot judge every set based on a subset, just like we cannot judge every black person based on an experience with another, it may be that crime rates are higher in black communities etc, even so don't be discriminatory without evidence of such behaviour from the individual. Sweden's having major immigration problems right now, just like much of Europe.
I went to Cyprus for holiday and i saw how Cypriots called african N-word and one time tried to hit walkers by car. I was shocked . Cuz all Cypriots were extremely nice with me. I still believe they can stop this beahvior vs africans.
I think if you give off positive vibes and you are sincere, along with striving to learn and develop and make relations of trust with good people, you will be accepted gradually. Don't ever say you will be made to feel sub human just because you are black. That is a limiting belief which will affect you sub conciosuly and make you feel like a lesser person. Like many nations, Cypriots are very cautious about having too many foreigners in their country. Don't forget the Ottomans invaded them in such a savage and brutal way that it is natural to assume they might be hostile
I can DISAGREE I hundred percent, my village is now filled with Congolese people and in Avgourou we accept all peoples, sadly they are taking over the jobs over the locals, therefore there will always be resentment. Although Asians in this case are not really the true victims here, and I do admit some of my people did have some racism attitude towards black people too. But brother, I feel you! You’re speaking the truth!
How did you end up in Cyprus? Did you immigrate legally by applying abroad or did you sneak into the country than rant "racism" when locals are hostile towards you because they suspect you of being an illegal migrant? Any bets on whether China has accepted far less migrants on a per capita basis and far more hostile towards them than Cyprus? Look in the mirror before lectuing others.
I'm still going to experience it for myself. Majority of the places I've been, I've encountered some type of racism or prejudiced. It's sad that is the way it is. Hopefully, it will change 🤔
@@Tearoze there's a reason about this "racism". You should see how the immigrants act in our country. Also we have enough people as it is, we don't need more. So if a came illegally to your country and your taxes and money went to feed me for my illegal activity what would be your reaction? A country has a certain amount of numbers that can assume, Cyprus is long past these numbers and you dont seam to value or think of these things very much. My country is not going to transform into your country or your way of living. Multicultural is your understanding. This is not America or west Europe. We have certain values, certain ethics, certain way of living that derives from our religion and our ancestors, we have history and values, we are not a white blanket, and if you want to come here you should be in the numbers that the state can adjust to the way of living. Also Cyprus is a divided country with 40000 illegal turkish troops on the other half of the island waiting. It needs a very concrete society and has a lot of problems of surviving due to that to spend money for feeding illegals and playing the humanitarian card here. Yes thank you for your video but you dont know nothing of this island l, nothing of its people and you think everything goes around racism of black people in this world. Cyprus has been under occupation of other countries for hundreds of years and still has a problem of safety and Turkish illegal occupation. Cypriot people are not racist are just realists, they dont have nothing against your colour, your ethnicity or something else, but there is limits for every foreigner as to the numbers of them, and for the way of living because there is a very family based and value based society that connot allow things to function differently. Last month a student made a complain that the image of holy mary shall be removed from the schools symbol because he was offended and because that school had many foreigners shall be the case . Also criminal activity is raised from the moment the island is flooded with refugees and the majority the criminals are from those groups. Sorry but the numbers speak. So try to understand the situation and dont just yell racism, racism and etc.
Ummm, it’s not true about what you said in the USA. You can’t go to jail for calling someone a name even if it racist. Can you imagine how ridiculously packed the jails would be if people were going to jail for calling someone names 😂
Not sure why this video is recommended to me..., But I am living in Cyprus for over 10 years (I'm a Dutch living here)..., and there is an increase of Africans, but this is (I think) most likely due to Turkey accepting students from Africa. When they are there, (again, assuming) it seems they are coming over to the recognized part to ask for asylum. I live in Nicosia, close to the mall and also there I can see many "Africans", I am always friendly to them, let them cross when they need to, sometimes I am able to talk to them and we might have a good conversation. BUT there are also some BAD Africans, (like you have BAD Dutch, Bad British) and they create the problem for the rest. Salaries are not as high as in mainland Europe (if you get 8 euros here, that's not that bad tbh... 40 hours x 8 euros x 4 weeks is around 1300 euros. Pretty sure it’s more that they’re looking after their own rather than looking after other people, and the only reason why you see that it is black people because it’s only black people that are going over there to look for jobs also I don’t know about working visas and what type of qualifications you need, but I don’t think it’s racist
This is a specific country that is being dealt with. Racism is not about being Stupid. It is about Practicing Evil against someone else. Repent and give your life to Christ
There is a great deal of status giving to money and those that have it in all countries- British tourists often share how welcoming Cypriots are but it's their money they welcome normally not the person ...this is what was left from British rule and trying to gain status. There is no excuse to treat someone with disrespect for any reason but people like that exist everywhere. When people say the UK is multicultural this is only the experience in the cities or if you're a tourist to the rural areas they'll be nice whilst you're paying but not if you're staying to try and live. This comes from narrow view education system where people are taught to fear differences in people rather than to look for the similarities. The UK may tick all the boxes but in practice there is still racism and discrimination for those that are not at the top. For me it's not worth wasting time, energy, effort or money with/on people that can't respect human beings...what many Cypriots don't realize is that it's the British and western investment in their country that has/is invading their culture and way of living it is not the well meaning tourist or immigrant trying to mind their own business and enjoy life.
God help black people in Europe , even in Africa , the lighter your skin the more respected you are , but we must remember we were all black at the beginning , we all came from Africa , I empathetic , but this is our world 🌍 , it’s been like that since the black man became white , will it ever change ?

today is 30 jul 2022 On the occasion of racism and this video, in this week there are two racist cases without anything or justification.

Very educated comment. Thanks for putting it into perspective.

If you could understand what black people are doing in our country then you would know why we don't want them here.
😢bad

Listen, my friend you’re not making videos about what’s happening in northern Africa, which are Arab ran nations in an African country where Black people are treated as subpar and spit upon and the women are abused. You’re choosing to pick countries in which are in your context, white people.
One thing I have learned as a non Cypriot, you cannot compare this system with any other European country...But what you will find here is very warm hearted people (yes they exist there)
Coming to Cyprus to make money is a bad idea if you don't get a job in a law firm etc.
So don't give up. Work hard and enjoy life. Be a blessing to the Cypriot people!

As a Cypriot brother I don’t disagree, both communities on the island have racism embedded within them, me as a British Cypriot my self even endures racism when I go to my parents homeland! I hope our people on the island can be better.I am sorry on the behalf of Cypriots.
Thank you man. Love this channel, always show the truth the world needs to know.
I remember when I arrived in The United States of America 🇺🇸 as a seven year old boy.
Started School with the majority of my peers being 97% White / Caucasian. I didn’t speak any English whatsoever.
Never had any problems of racism with my White Peers. I’m also Hispanic.
So my question is, Is it just the Black Community being Targeted? Or will the Verbally Abuse all nationalities ?
Was planning to book a holiday to Cyprus until this video!

I was thinking about going there for my first visit ever but that colour fighting happens here in Australia too

I studied in Larnaca Cyprus in 2014 and I can attest to the racial discrimination in the country. It was quite difficult to cope as a black person especially as a Nigerian.
What do you mean by, "Especially as a Nigerian? Is there something special about Nigerians? Are Nigerians not black too? I am a black American, but I don't like Nigerians.
It’s not that bad! I’m part Nigerian and I had no issues.

It does depend on country's, like I went to Nicosia and I'm Asian and nothing really bad happened but Larnaca and maybe Paphos did have a few racist remarks

Have you also experienced racism in Cyprus?
But your county and people are the most racist in the world. Hypocrite.

Bro, you have convince me, now am totally discouraged to visit Cyprus, racism is outdated culture,Infront of God we are all equal...
Not all people are the same, you get people like this all over the world you can't judge a whole island because of one person. every one deserves respect no matter who we are race or colour we are all come from one god.
I am a cypriot. I mean there is definitely racism here and there is also really good people. As everywhere. Ur in downtown ledras and mainstream places which are notorious for some crime and filth. Anywhere else in Cyprus u would have a good calm time.
But yeah i won't say that we are the best island lol, we have too many problems for that.
Sorry you experienced this. You seem like sweet guys. Thank you for sharing.

We were racist here before but I think it got way worse after the refugee crisis
You are right. But the refugees leave there country because they are starving.

Going to Africa as a white person and competing for the low wage jobs with the locals there...
Would there be any hard feelings towards me?
Just wondering...
White people are treated like royalty in Africa and most Africans have respect for White and Asian people but In many cases White peoples do not reciprocate the same way.
4.5 million white people in Africa already & they get treated with dignity & respect. Please don't comment on something you have no knowledge about, you just look foolish.😊
@@Speedy300 So why do Africans keep doing it. Clearly it's not working for them to have every race walk all over them

There is a myth that Africa is tolerant but that is not remotely true. For example, in Liberia only black people can get citizenship. Or take South Africa. After blacks were descriminated by whites under Aparteid, the inverse is now happening. Whites are being treated as second class citizens. The ANC has gone from fighting racism to becoming racist. It keeps trying to pass laws to expropriate property based on the color of a South African's skin. One of the reasons why their is so many asylum seekers from Afirca is precisely because so much intolerance exists in Africa. There is a lot more bigotry in Africa than there is in the west but you would never know it listening to some that fantasize prejudice only exists among white people (which is racist belief in itself)

It's so difficult for POC to travel. We want to enjoy our holidayz yet we are faced with racism.
Great information
Good to hear from you Joel, my brother! Appreciated!
True my bro
Ummm, it’s not true about what you said in the USA. You can’t go to jail for calling someone a name even if it racist. Can you imagine how ridiculously packed the jails would be if people were going to jail for calling someone names 😂
You are very welcome to the North Turkish side brothers ❤❤
That is a salary here, that also the Cypriots are getting).
If you want to have a fair talk, reply to this post... And we can meet for a coffee or a chat.
I live in Paphos and you get good days and bad days from the locals. . Some Cypriots are wonderful whilst others are so nasty and rude. But ive also heard Africans are being treated very badly in the North Cyprus. Discrimination is everywhere. It's difficult times for most people. If you stay you will meet some nice Cypriots. Calling them Bastards wont help either and this really isn't worth it and would make you sound bad. I enjoyed your video.
Listen to the video very well again, and don’t miss quote me. I don’t call people bastards, but the very worker in the restaurant that abused me with racism and insulted me, he is the guy I called BASTARD, EVIL and not NORMAL when I confronted him that very day. @@JoelTAMARA Hi Joel. I have listened and watched your video numerous times and you call the man a Fuck --- Bastard. So all I was saying is correct. Im not saying you were or was not treated badly. @@dianesenior7922 Will you keep silent and looking when a restaurant worker is abusing you inside his restaurant?? I believe you will not accept that, and you were not there so stop defending him or maybe you’re the woman that was making the cinema with him that very day. You disrespect me, I disrespect you, it’s simple as that, in fact if it’s in some countries were there is law, he will pay dearly for his actions that very day. So you defending him, means you’re supporting his evil acts.
@@JoelTAMARA You said you did NOT call him a Bastard. I proved you did. This is not about me taking his side. This is about me proving what you called him. I am not getting into anything else. Shame upon you. Don't come in our countries either. Stay in cyprus.
Finding it very difficult to equate these anecdotes with my experience of the Greek Cypriots, who, in my experience, are the most friendly, welcoming people in the EU.
Are you white?
Try the northern counterpart (which is occupied by turkey), you will be shocked by soullessness, especially famagusta...

Pretty sure it’s more that they’re looking after their own rather than looking after other people, and the only reason why you see that it is black people because it’s only black people that are going over there to look for jobs also I don’t know about working visas and what type of qualifications you need, but I don’t think it’s racist
you are not telling the truth , where is your proof of discrimination ?
Thanks, I appreciate the honesty and truthful experience.
You’re welcome
It is racist people any country you go man, unfortunately some people are stupid, but we can’t judge everyone for it. 💪🏼
This is a specific country that is being dealt with. Racism is not about being Stupid. It is about Practicing Evil against someone else. Repent and give your life to Christ
But we can judge Cyprus as a hell for black people. It's a country of inhuman people live.
