BURR SOUNDS LIKE MR MOSBY IM CRYING
sarcasm central GET OUT OF MY LOBBY
AHAHAHAA
Thank you!!!
I was wondering why that voice sounded SO familiar
FUCK OFOF I CANT UNHEAR IT
NO RUNNING IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS
It's so hard for me to think of anyone other than Leslie Odom Jr as Burr anymore. The energy he put into that role....
Ratcone IKR it was really weird not seeing the Original cast performing.
Doesn't help that Leslie is not only a great rapper and singer, but a fantastic actor as well. He's hard to replicate.
frr😀🤚🏻
same
Look up Nik Walker. Not as good, but when I saw him play Burr in 2018, he stole the entire show. Aaron Burr was somehow the most amazing part of the show when he wasn't played by Leslie Odom Jr.
I love how on west end Eliza is really small and Hamilton is like 7 ft tall
Lol
In this case I’m Eliza 😂😂
@Kunaya nah i've watched it and jamael westman just towers over her
Kunaya No dude, I saw them live. He’s a mountain next to
Her haha
Can I just say , this comment rhymes and I love it.
Their kissing scenes in the show mustve been awkward 😂
Lin Manuel Miranda: So i created a musical, who should I cast?
Lin Manuel Miranda: I know... Me
Edit: Wow, thx for the likes I never get this much
He couldn't think of anybody XD
I love how this is commented on the one where lin isn’t hamilton😂
I MADE THE 666TH LIKE AHAHAHA
@@yanfeismug4355 it's 669 lmao
They picked the wrong person to be Hamilton he is to tall
Did nobody else notice that Alexander Hamilton is a freaking giant?
Dont mind me yeah, he’s 6”4 lmao
Which is weird because in real life he was known as the Little Lion
It fuckin scared me
Lol
Wonder if Washington is still as tall
So no one's gonna talk about how fucking tall Alex is next to Eliza like she almost couldn't put that coat on him.
Janina awwwwwww!!
ITS SO ADORABLE I LOVE IT
You're so positive I love u
YASSSSS Rachel (Eliza) looks so smol it's adorable HAHAHAHAHAHA
We fought with him,
Me I died for him,
Me I trusted him,
Me I loved him,

Aint Rachelle Ann Go like.... 5'8?Tbh thats pretty tall but Mah dude according to the website is like 6'4 wth
My god, the actor for A. Ham is so tall compared to everyone which is cool because he's usually played by shorter actors
Rylee Correa omg yeah. Lin is 5'9 and i think Javier is 5'10
How tall is he, I really noticed his height when he was standing next to Washington and when Eliza was putting his coat on?
Chocolate Anders he’s 6”4 I asked him and he is just a giant
Oliverisjustsocool !!! Oh my God!
Alexander Hamilton's height is shorter compared the other founding fathers though (the only person I recall, amongst the founding fathers, shorter than him is James Madison)
ALEXANDER AND ELIZA'S HEIGHT DIFFERENCE OH MY GODDDDD
c'est le feu IKR lol
yES ELIZA IS ALREADY SMALL BUT DAMN JAMAEL AS HAMILTON IS JUST SO FUCKING TALL ITS CRAZY
When Hamilton stood from the chair I was likkkee wooooaaaahh GrEeN gIAnT!!
HE TOWERS OVER HER OH MY GOD 😂
SOMONE GET ELIZA SOME DAMN PEDIASURE
THIS ELIZA SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THE ORIGINAL AND I LOVE IT
shes rachelle ann go ❤
The vocals maybe, but she was holding the notes to long, and it was irritating
Just saying unlike Americans we don’t naturally have American accents in Britain
Many singers lose their accents when singing. And we Americans tend to forget these characters lived in the 1770s - they would have had British accents ;).
Heidi Christensen That actually isn’t exactly true. Back then the British accent sounded more like and American accent today
Sounds like this writer disagrees. outofthiscentury.wordpress.com/2010/01/21/early-american-accents/
Kunaya yes I’m serious. The idea that Brit’s in the 18th century had “American” accents makes no sense. If it is NOT true, please explain to me how every British colony still had BRITISH sounding accents, not American sounding ones. You will never convince me that Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Indians, Irish, Welsh and Irish accents developed after the Revolutionary war.
Believe what you want, but Shakespeare sounds better with an American accent

@@nginamandouma4246 well you have to think about it if you’re talking about his voice. The west end cast is from London and since most people from London have an accent and Hamilton is an American musical they have to try to have a American accent while singing at the same time.
That woman that played Eliza was great omg
okay but the height difference between Alexander’s actor and Eliza’s actress it just adorable

I love how Rachelle Ann Go is playing Eliza! It really suits her, and as a fellow Filipino, it makes me proud how she made it this far!

KawaiiBunnBunn YES!
I agree
Honestly, this cast is really good too. I have to say though, even though they might sound different because of their accents doesn't mean ya'll can say stuff like "They don't sound good" or something along the lines of that. Also, the cast was probably picked for how they carried out the part rather than how they can sing. Keep in mind that most of the actors can't sing or rap in the original cast, but they're amazing because of the emotion they put into the lyrics.
Yeah, well none of them sound like New Englanders in the 18th century, so there!
Je
Are you actually trying to police what people are and aren't allowed to say?
People "CAN'T" say they don't sound good?
This Burr may be a good singer, but his rapping is objectively a huge weakness compared to both his cast mates here as well as the American Burr. In a play primarily based around hip-hop and rap, casting a lead actor that isn't a good rapper makes no sense.
I just them live two days ago. They were ALL amazing!!! In every way. Acting, singing, rapping, charisma... I am absolutely blown away!
I saw this cast a few months ago and everything was absolutely perfect! They've really improved since this performance and it felt no different to the American cast
Of course I prefer the original cast, because that was my introduction to this brilliance. Then again, I tend to prefer the cast or makeup of nearly any musical or band that introduced me to anything I've grown to love. These people are amazing on their own merits.
Love to the British Hamilton cast from America.
And peggy
IMO West End usually outdo Broadway even in a Broadway original like Hamilton, except probably Jonathan Groff’s King George
@@Dan-gi6tf Love the irony that the exception is the British monarch being played by an American actor.

I love their Eliza though. She sounds so beautiful.
She’s Rachelle Ann Go a Filipina. She also did Gigi in Miss Saigon Broadway and West End and Fantine in Les Miserables West End ❤️
I was shookt to see Rachelle Ann Go as Eliza 😮
For those who don't know her, she was a huge recording artist in Philippines who chose to leave career to follow her dream, to go broadway. I grew up watching her on local tv back then here in Phil. So happy for her

If any of you had watched the live show in London, you’d realise how incredible the guy who plays Burr really is.
Alex Bradley he really is. I want a full London cast album so bad
Alex Bradley he sounds like a cartoon character
I agree, when I first watched this video I was skeptical, but after going to see it I take it all back! He suits is so well! In fact, the ENTIRE cast suites it! I LOVED Lafayette and Jefferson (played by the same man), and Washington was crazy good too! This is an insanely well chosen cast, gg
He sounds awful I miss Leslie odam jr
No one:
British Cast: aLiXaNdUr HaMoLtIn
P.S. no offense the cast is amazing and I'm just amused by their accents
Reggie Reyes tbh me too Hercules mulligans actor was the best accent
Eh tbf they do the same when Americans try to do English accents 😂
stanford0711 yeah I mean have you heard American Matilda their accents are terrible 😬
Ok so I REALLY hated the cast when I saw this- but then I saw them live (mind you I saw og ny cast as well). I loved them even more! They all portrayed their characters so well. I found that they made it more humorous. There were certain lines that were never considered to be funny, and I found myself laughing, whereas in NY it was just another line. They all added little tweaks and gestures which made it brilliant! Now burr and Hamilton: this Hamilton knocks Lins Hamilton out of the water! (Is that the right phrase?) He was amazing! Yes I love Lin, but this guy not only had a great singing voice but had this poise to him that was brilliant! He managed to convey Hamilton's childishness and arrogance, but then showed perfectly his character growth he is became a guilt ridden and more experienced man. He also made him quite funny in the first act which I loved (funny not in a dumb way, but in a sort of childlike way Which fit perfectly). Now burr: I am a huge fan of Leslies voice, it's smooth and great. BUT this burr is just as great. His singing is different, VERY, different but he made it worked. He's certainly improved since the beginning of the show (I've heard audios of the show when it first started, and there were certain lines he didn't deliver well, but that must have been at first, because when I watched him- 10 months after the show started- he delivered them well). He also added a touch of comedy which was lacking with Leslie, again a comedy that fit (hard to explain if you haven't seen). He also managed to show the character development in a way Leslie didn't. I'd argue Leslie has a better singing voice (this one does too, you get used to it but I do love Leslie. And I think it's brave of Giles to be preform with a lisp) and that Giles has better acting .
Also you must realize that you are all used to the soundtrack, so hearing something different is strange. But when you see the full show you adapt. Nonetheless both are great
But that’s the thing the show wasn’t meant to be how you have portrayed it in said comment. See you were supposed to see it in Hamilton’s time where it was serious with the war and such. I believe that’s the way they sung didn’t quite sound right. Mostly the person portrayed Burr. His voice seemed to squeaky and the original cast just looked better also
@@jorden5508 but that's the thing- the first act IS meant to be somewhat funny. They're all young and wild. Making the first act a bit funny makes act 2 even better as it shows their character growth. It makes sense, Hamilton was always very wild and impulsive. But as the show progresses he becomes more serious
The Chicago production also gets different laughs. Chi-town also has the best A.Ham in Miguel Cervantes. His singing and acting are superb.
All I got out of this was jealousy for seeing Hamilton live twice
how dare you Lin-Manuel Miranda is the greatest and will continue to be the greatest person who ever played Hamilton
SO PROUD OF RACHEL ANN GO FOR PULLING OFF ELIZA 😍😍😍 the role definitely suits her
Sheirida Miranda No it doesn't.
MagicalTorreira 11 and the reason is?
Sheirida Miranda Race.
MagicalTorreira 11 what has race got to do with her having the role?
MagicalTorreira 11 Troll???
It baffles me how a show which is all about diversity somehow prompts people to be extremely negative towards every little thing that is different than what they're used to. Yes, they look and sound different, they have different accents and different ways of pronouncing words with various imperfections. And it's AMAZING!
If you are bothered by such differences as Hamilton's height, Burr's lisp or that they are not copying the original cast, you didn't get the point of this show at all.
PandaMonika yes thank you!!! exactly what i’m thinking
PandaMonika 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I’m just loving the girls outfits!
My thoughts on this version of the song:
- I love this Alexander. Bless him.
- Laurens is awesome. He is softer than Anthony but I think that he is great! He now got my award called "Good Actor, bless".
- I love Lafayette. OH GOD, HE'S AWESOME. PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE THIS GUY RECOGNITION.
- Hercules has such a deep voice omg I expected him to be like the original but he's deeper. I'm curious how his Madison sounds!
- Eliza sounded like her mic kind of broke for a second? Nonetheless I love her and I already knew it.
- Washington is just great.
- Burr... Well... he is different than Leslie. A lot different. His voice is kind of strange but he isn't bad. He is actually really good, you just have to get used to the voice. I ADORE the "There woulda been nothing left to do" part. He is wonderful there.
Also, like, people get super mad about the accents? I can't see a difference between this and an American accent but that's probably because I'm really bad at defining accents.
Yukuro Chan loved your take on this version. I saw the show in February and I thought Tarinn Callander was amazing as Mulligan but even better as Madison. I can see why people who haven’t seen the show are a bit unsure about Giles as Burr, but he’s absolutely phenomenal. He doesn’t overplay Burr, his acting is incredibly subtle. Cleve September is also great as Laurens, and his Philip is utterly heartbreaking. His acting as Philip is dying is frighteningly realistic.
How about Jason? I'm curious, is his Lafayette better or maybe Jefferson? Also, people complain a lot about Alexander, is there really a reason to be concerned or is that just obsessive OBC fans?
I am also really happy because today I saw my dad looking at the tickets, so we might go and see the show in December.
+Yukuro Chan Jason's Jefferson is AMAZING he's so so funny as Jefferson.
lucy burrowes That's good to hear!
Okay so the actor playing Alexander when I saw it in January was the second for the role but I do think that Jamal Westman makes a great Hamilton (forgive me if I spelt his name wrong). Tarrin and Cleve have really stepped up the game for me in both their roles as mulligan/Madison and Laurens/Phillip especially Phillip as Cleve Septembers raw emotion in the death scene is extremely realistic.
Lafayette's actor (forgive me I forget his name) is so perfect in the role that for me it's on par with Diggs', even as Jefferson the personality shines through.
Gilies plays a great burr for someone with a lisp and Washington's actor is a force of nature in the role, like holy shit especially in one last time.
I saw Giles Terera as Burr in London's West End, and he was fantastic. Every time you looked at his face, you could see the wheels turning in Burr's head as he calculated every action - but he still managed to melt the audience with "Dear Theodosia." Unforgettable.
This Burr gives his "I'm the damn fool that shot him" line with swagger.
*PEGGY IS BACK*
Niff Peggy is my spirit animal
That's Angelica
3:49 (left to right) Angelica, Eliza, Peggy
You called?
Wheatos actually its mariah reynolds cuz their played by the same actress and peggy didnt love alexander
Mr Dusty Musty, yes, Peggy loved Alexander like a brother. The whole point of those lines is that they apply to both characters played by each actor: Lafayette, Mulligan, Jefferson and Madison all fought with Hamtion, but in different ways; Angelica, Eliza, Peggy and Maria all loved him, but in different ways; Laurens and Philip both died for him (this last one is a bit of a stretch, but you could argue that Laurens would not have been involved in the revolution at the level he was had it not been for Hamilton).
You could say that the actors are playing both of their parts simultaneously for this song, hence the neutral white outfits.
You might not hear Angelica in this clip but in the musical...... SHE IS SO FUCKING GOOD! Of course the others were good but god damn she's amazing.
Alab agreed

As someone who’s seen this in London, Burr is f***ing incredible. He’s an amazing performer and his renditions of the finale and room where it happens are breathtaking. He carries the whole show, so happy that i got to see him in this role. I don’t know how long Hamilton will stay in the West End, but if anyone gets a chance to see it, DO IT!! Very different but just as amazing (and even refreshing) to see and hear our renditions of the story and characters. The actor who plays Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson is amazing too, very funny, and almost Prince-esque (and I’m basically in love with Daveed Diggs so it was big shoes to fill!) - and yes, the King George segments are ten times funnier when performed in the UK. It just is. 🇬🇧

Yeah, I agree, but you know who I feel even less? Alexander Hamilton. The actor doesn't have the intensity required. And Burr doesn't sound angry or salty like he usually does.
Tess Crelli the intensity might not come across in video, but trust me on stage he’s got it in spades.
Well Hamilton isnt to hyped on this song for some reason. If you look back on Lin Manuels performances on this, his face is very relaxed but that fit the role quite well. I can see where you are coming from though.

TheNoneUploadGirl
No, I mean because she said that he was the one with the Oscar. I'm just correcting that it's the original actor that has the Oscar. Sorry if you misunderstood.
I prefer him as Burr, I loved his performance in London last week
Rolling my eyes at people who just can't appreciate talent and different renditions of a production or a character (w/c is the most interesting part of theatre!). I've never seen fans of a musical so obsessed with its OBC. Don't just appreciate Hamilton, appreciate theatre itself folks
i can appreciate different renditions of a character and still think a particular one sucks.
I'm talking about the knee-jerk reaction of "no one can replace the obc you all suck," the complaints of "why did he do it this way when it should be done that way according to obc," and the refusal to acknowledge that each actor have their own artistic interpretation of a character
Yes god knows a rendition can suck but saying it sucks for no other reason because it's different from the obc or that an actor is too tall or has a lisp or pronounce things differently is stupid - that's what i mean with the obc obsession
ugh same! people are such dicks
zipzapkpop it's my opinion bitch
I just hate how they made them do American accents, they're bad and it bothers me. When they sing it's great, but when they speak it grinds on my ears. Should've made them keep their British accents. Yes, it would be weird especially how it's kinda about the American Revolution, but it would've sounded TONS better.
His lisp is the cutest thing ever
(Saw this last year and it was amazing)
Eliza sounds like the original singer someone of them sound like the original cast :3 the background singers sound like the original too o.o
And also I know everyone is going on about how amazing Eliza is (and she is) but honestly Burr’s performance swept me away way more when i saw the show (though both are incredible! just think he should be getting more love than he is 💖 )
he's ok I would rather see the og
carmen johnston Good luck with that.
AreYou NormalBass I know!! When j first heard him I was confused, but when I went back and listened to it I realised how amazing he is. I was watching it with my sis and I was saying that the burr is so amazing here and she just looked at me and said "are u serious". I really think he did a wonderful job bringing the role some originality, and I couldn't wait to keep hearing him sing.
Just when I thought I couldn't fall more in love with Eliza...
I love this Burr’s interpretation honestly, none of them should be exactly like the original cast.
Why is everyone hating on burr I know he did it different to Leslie but I'm sure if it was the other way round and he was the original and Leslie was in this one then people would hate on Leslie because he was different. They both played the roll with their own uniqueness and they are both amazing burrs
When saw both Hercules and Eliza my heart skipped a beat! Like their vocals and they're so beautiful 😍😍.
I really liked Hercules and eliza
hahaha same
Nino Stylianou wow!
Same, but I also like the Washington
I like Herc, Eliza was off tho.
Ok.
I think they did really good. I really miss the original cast. honestly I would be fine with it if just Lin came back. I think the new Eliza did really good. i feel like the new Hamilton did not really live up to good it was done by Lin but he still did good, also the new burr did pretty good.
Ik this is 3 months later but everyone in the comment section kept saying this is the UK cast for the musical.
Theres still a US cast, they did change their actors tho.
Me too I love the original cast wayyyy better
Everyone: do you know Hamilton
Lin: of course I know him, he’s me!
Listen to first burn, Rachelle Ann Go did amazing!!!
Van Hamilton No.
MagicalTorreira 11 this racist is hating in every comments. Shut the fuck up man
im in love with Eliza
1:54 and 2:48
Hamliza height difference! It's sooo cute!!!
One additional reason why i have to go to the UK again. For this! ❤❤❤❤
I recently watched Hamilton in London!!! OMG IT WAS MAGICAL!!! 😭😩
I wanted to take a pic with Rachelle Ann Go since she is Filipino pride and amazing but yeah. OMG the whole cast was great.
How much were the tickets? I really wanna see it
Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen same
@@filipjonathan maybe more than a few grands
Same, it was utterly amazing. Seen it in the Great Victoria Palace. Need it do it again
It upsets me that people are judging this cast badly from just this one performance which they had to totally restage and include all the ensemble/swings, in a totally new place which is notoriously bad for sound anyway. I saw the show in March and I have to say that when you’re watching it live in the theatre it’s absolutely magical. I personally prefer this cast to the obc and I’m lowkey dying for a cast recording
Garrance Narwhal THERE NEEDS TO BE A PETITION FOR A CAST RECORDING OF THIS. I'd listen to it more than the OBC.
This is so true!
Don’t see why people are comparing it to the OBC, every actor is different and they are going to perform the character in their own way. I am going to have the unpopular opinion but I prefer the London cast
Sian Rawlinson me too, pal
Sian Rawlinson Me too. I love them so much.
Mulligan, Lafayette, Eliza, and Washington rocked it
Amazing energy from the ensemble
