From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power. These Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red.

i realized while listening to all the songs that in the divorced ones songs, they are kind of saying something to henry, the beheaded ones are telling their story and the live(died and survived) are talking about how they are strong.

Say what you want about her, but this girl had literally no say in what happened to her. GalaxyGirl actually he beheaded her not because he disconcerted the affair but instead when he discovered how many other men she had “been with” (was raped or molested by) in the past. I really don’t think we can blame her. She was told thoughout her entire life that she was nothing more than an object for men and then forced to marry a 60 year old abusive man as a child. Then when she finally felt as though she had someone who would listen, someone who wouldn’t treat her like an object. He tricked her and she was painfully killed by her abusive husband. In a situation where a child is trying to escape and abusive situation and gets tricked, that is not the child’s fault. It’s the abusers and rapists.
