    I have the very same machine. Not yet used. Please explain the priming and the setting of the black knob. Turned right for priming ? Turned down for painting ??? Thanks

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  Рік тому +15

      I'm no expert but in my practical experience with this sprayer, turning the black knob downward was mainly for pressure relief, meaning that at the end of a spray you don't leave the hose pressurised, so you turn the black knob down to release that pressure. I found that this unit primes the paint through the line itself when the knob is turned to the left which is its normal spray position.... there is no specific "priming knob". I placed the suction feed into the paint that I thinned out by adding up to 10% water, and it simply primed. Another thing one can do to "prime" the line, is simply place the suction feed into a bucket of water (provided one is using a water based paint), turn on the spray handle and this will easily suck out the water into the line, once water sprays out place the suction into the paint you want to use, and spray into an empty bucket until your paint product comes out and then you're good to go. Hope that helps! Maybe I should do a video on this whole function and how to clean it, as I didn't cover that in my review video.

      good bit of kit, just doing my roof with mine. Cleaning it I got a bucket of warm soapy water and ran it through the lot, and then I opened the pressure valve and it washed that through too. Last was taking the gun apart and cleaning the nozzle, so far I am on my fourth 20 litre drum of paint with no problems.@@bwwb5125

    Nice review , A small tip for the leaking hose .
    I always sand down flat the part of the pipe where it contacts the rubber seal.
    90 percent of the time these have a sharp end that created in manufacturing and will cut into the rubber seal and damage it, witch will then leak ...

    Merci beaucoup j ai acheté la même machine , je viens de finir le montage et faire teste avec de l' eau 👍
    Demain je vais peindre en extérieur un hangar en tôle , 320m2 🤷🏻 , peinture a l huile 🤞🤞 , j espere que tout ira bien pour le nettoyage également
    Merci encore pour le tutoriel 🙏🏻
    retour 😍 , FANTASTIQUE, j ai peint 70m2 de toiture en tôle en 1h00 , autant de temps a nettoyer 🤦🏻( peinture glycero )
    Mon pot de 12L rendement du fabricant 180m2 , j ai réalisé uniquement 70m2, peut être trop de pression 🤷🏻
    Si la machine se désamorce tourner la manette noir 10 secondes et remettre en position initiale 👍 ( idem pour faire le nettoyage au white spirit)
    Seul problème rencontré le blocage de la poignée est peint couleur aluminium mais est juste du plastique et cassé, aucune importance pas d utilité ( si besoin rajouter un serflex sur la poignée)
    Acheté sur Aliexpress, provenance Espagne livraison 5 jours pour 157€ 🤩🤩
    Je suis ravis de mon investissement 😋
    Thank you very much I bought the same machine, I just finished assembly and tested it with water 👍
    Tomorrow I'm going to paint a sheet metal shed outside, 320m2 🤷🏻, oil paint 🤞🤞, I hope everything goes well for the cleaning too
    Thanks again for the tutorial 🙏🏻
    return 😍, FANTASTIC, I painted 70m2 of sheet metal roof in 1 hour, the same amount of time to clean 🤦🏻(glycero paint)
    My 12L pot yield from the manufacturer 180m2, I only made 70m2, maybe too much pressure 🤷🏻
    If the machine defuses, turn the black lever for 10 seconds and return to initial position 👍 (same for cleaning with white spirit)
    The only problem encountered is the locking of the handle is painted aluminum color but is just plastic and broken, no problem, no use (if necessary add a serflex on the handle)
    Purchased on Aliexpress, from Spain, delivery 5 days for €157 🤩🤩
    I am delighted with my investment 😋

I notice with the unit, the instruction manual is just about useless, so your vid was a great help. Could you please do a complete video on cleaning, and how to store the unit long term, say if you didn't use it for a year or more. I also notice that airless paint guns have a filter in the handle, does this unit have that, and how do you clean or replace it. Many Thanks👍

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  Рік тому

      Thanks! No problems at all, but the important thing is to clean it once done painting. I should have covered this in my video but I forgot. It took me about 5-7 minutes to clean it properly from the water-based paint in the line and then it's good to go whenever I need it next.
      Cleaning is simply running clean water through it until the paint is gone.... clean out the nozzle tip, and the I also took out the filter that is in the spray handle, ensured that was washed clean, and that's it. I haven't used oil-based paint through this, but it would be the same process, just use turps or thinners to clean at the end.

    Great video, mate, just what I needed! One question: did you in- or decrease the pressure to get rid of the white lines at the start?

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  11 місяців тому

      From memory, I think I decreased the pressure. Nevertheless, it's a trial and error thing, and is probably dependant on the type of nozzle you're using from what I understand.

    • @frankconijn3987
      @frankconijn3987 10 місяців тому

      I just had a Wagner instruction day on spray painting, because I have a ton of painting to do. They said that to cure it, you should first increase the pressure.
      If that doesn't work, dilute the paint. If that doesn't work either, change the nozzle for one with a smaller diameter, e.g. change a 519 for a 517.

    • @karekaft

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  7 місяців тому

      I'm no expert but I believe that would come down to the type of nozzle being used. This machine is capable of pushing paint just like any other airless sprayer, so I would suspect a larger aperture on the nozzle would be key for higher viscosity paints. In any instance, I'd be researching that aspect on how other sprayers achieve flow for such paints.

Someone who has an experiemce with more professional tools (or even some DIY level sprayers like Wagner 250 or Graco Magnum X5) most likely would point out some key differences. And yeah, another issue of course is reliability - how long thus thing can last!?

    You shouldnt turn the prime valve with pressure still in the line, it will fuck your switch extemely quick. Turn off, release pressure in the line by spraying it into the drum, then you can turn prime valve. A machine shouldnt need priming unless you run out of paint and it sucks a bit of air or if it doesnt stop making the whirring noise like its trying to get to the set pressure even tho ur not spraying
