Little note about this project:
Originally I’d scrapped this because I was worried it was too similar to Sink Away, but listening back, I still really like how it came together. So I figured I’d tackle this one as a kind of my older style releases where you’re stuck with only ME for each part of this project (art, vocals, mixing, editing etc) so apologies if this one doesn’t seem quite as polished! I’m just a little guy you see ….(Also, this was originally written as a duet I’m so sorry if it's confusing with only one voice aaa)

We really need a Mistyfoot's Super Edition, to see her relationship with Leopardstar. It's clear in Leopardstar's Honor that she's pissed with her, but in Mistystar's Omen she had long since forgiven her. I NEED the journey between!

(Also, just saying, the literally first thing Stonefur and Mistyfoot did after learning they are half-Clan was to run away from a battle ;p)

@@StarseekertheNightwing13 there's a lot of complex unexplored lore between them, I honestly hope we get a Stonefur (Mistystar's brother) or Mudfur (Leopardstar's father) Novella to explore it. I believe Leopardstar was either born around the same time of Mistykit or saw her join the clan. Obviously there's the execution of Stonefur, their most complex moment. She kills Mistyfoot's brother, and her deputy, for being halfclan at the order of another leader. But by the end of the lake they've both suffered several losses and understand each other. By the time of Leopardstar's death, they seem beyond close. I honestly wish we knew more about whatever kind of relationship they have, and that the Erin's ACTUALLY explore it and don't pull a classic "it's not that deep it was actually something that had nothing to do with it" Novella.
@@icarus4302 I would LOVE to see a novella from Stonefur or Mudfur but I don’t think the Erin’s would make a novella or Super edition about a fallen character….I would love to see a AU about this though!!

This is stunning, the lyrics and the music are great, the art is also wonderful. I think more people should talk about Leopardstar's and Mistyfoot's relationship, Mistyfoot probably has conflicting feelings about her

Poor Mistyfoot. After everything Leopardstar put them through I'd never be able to forgive her. I do believe Leopardstar at the time thought she was doing what she needed to keep Riverclan strong then things spiralled out of control and she couldnt back out without endangering the lives of her whole clan. The damage was done though. Great song really got me thinking about the whole situation!
I'm currently writing an anti-villain for a comic series whose past is so tragic that it continues to haunt them like a flood. Hearing this song made it feel like it fit the character to the very last point. Well done with this masterpiece!
I feel like this is the perfect song to describe Leopardstar and Mistyfoot, and I think that common ground of those memories was part of what helped Mistyfoot forgive Leopardstar. Stunning music and amazing art as always! Me and my sisters all love your music!

I LOVE THIS!! As a big Mistyfoot enjoyer I feel like there was so much missed opportunity to explore the rift between Leopardstar and Mistyfoot - or Mistyfoot and the clan as a whole
Mistyfoot is a tragic character with so much potential, and honestly the Erin’s handling of her in the later books made me so frustrated especially when she had sided with Bramblestar’s imposter
I could yap about Mistyfoot for hours but I’ll spare the people - this song is so good!! Great work as always raah!!

I can't help but imagine one lyric different. Mistyfoot is more scraed and such. more dramatic. So when Leopardstar says some her last lines on her own ( And with each wave that chrashes it's like i'm there once more). Mistyfoot says about the same ( And with that crashes I find myself there once more). I can't help but imagine Mistyfoots line going: "And with each wave that crashes I watch him die there once more...." They are probably talking about Stonefur's death, so I imagine her saying that whenever I sing or hear this song.

This is such a great song! I'm really glad you didn't scrap. The music, the lyrics, the art! It's all amazing! I love the subtle differences in the art that goes with each character. How Leopardstar's water is more like the ocean and Mistystar's is like the river (or the deeper ocean, since I believe she lived longer) and how Leopardstar looks scared whereas Mistyfoot looks absolutely terrified. Keep up the great work, Blix!❤❤❤
