I’d like to see a medicine cat become leader. This would be interesting as it wouldn’t have been done before permanently. It would create new situations due to the leader having much more experience with starclan than other leaders. Of course it would have to happen under abnormal circumstances but it’s a challenge I’d like to see attempted. (I got my eye on you FrostPaw 👀)
i fully believe frostpaw might end up the leader. all this build up for her to FIND a good leader i think she might end up with all the qualities she was looking for after all the trials and tribulations
Frostpaw and Mothwing are the two cats I'd most like to see take over RiverClan for sure! I think it would be a really fun plotline (especially if Mothwing is chosen, as I'm not sure how she'd receive her nine lives). I also like the idea of just RiverClan (or another clan) potentially merging the roles of medicine cat and leader permanently.

i feel like firestar gets ragged on a lot and called a mary sue but he truly had one of the best and most compelling stories in warrior cats at least in arc 1... no one is (was) doing it like him!
and in arc one, hes RELATABLE. has friends (graystripe and ravenpaw) has anxiety (being deputy, tigerclaw), atleast a little dumb, like he brings alot of outsiders in. actually has punishments, etc.
Anyone remember when Windclan had Tunnelers? I know it was only for 1 super edition but it gave inter clan drama and it gave a choice of what to be when adult other than just warrior.
"I want something new" is the exact reason I want a female pov to have kits WHILE being a pov. We've never had that in a main series book. Sure, we got queen perspectives in Bluestar's Prophecy, Moth Flight's Vision and the SkyClan manga but I want one in the main series because it would be SOMETHING NEW!! And kids are so unexpected in what they'll do next so it'd be so easy to cause drama or action with them. Or have one kit get sick and the pov trying to balance herself between worrying about the sick one and caring for the healthy ones. And I definitely think the arcs need to span through more time and not just like.. One year. At best. Broken Code plot didn't last even that long.
I have an online warrior cats Roleplay where something similar to this happened, but the other people in the Roleplay are incapable of letting mothers live more than one moon as a queen

i have a fanfic with the protag being preggo! shes also deputy at the same time which i want to happen because OH MY GOD deputy AND momma AND protagonist woah do that ;v; the only thing is after her kits are born one gets smushed by a car. this could either be a good or bad thing since after this she becomes MEGA-PROTECC MOMMA to her remaining kit, actually mentoring her (deputy magik) and then kit runs away. bean becomes depressed then ALSO gets hit by a car because her daughter is uh… she trapped her on the road by shoving a boulder on her leg and then bye-bye girly
ive been thinking about somthing like this, if they ever have a windclan protag Im hoping the writers will bring back tunnelers and runners since the concept was pretty interesting and could lead to a modernity vs tradition theme

Yaass! I LOVED the idea of the Tunnelers and Runners. I guess it was a good idea to cut it in Tallstar's Revenge to make drama in the book But man I *loved* the idea and role of it! And it actually made them really different to the other clans other than just "they run"

Tallstar's Revenge in general lives in my head rent free since I read it, probably my favourite Warrior Cats book with my favourite cat (Tallstar ofc), interesting backstory, good character development, natural but bittersweet gay romance and so so much more. I'd argue this superedition is better packed than some main story series. The conflict inside the clan was so refreshing, it actually had a reason and the writers even managed to make you understand and feel the struggles of both sides of the conflict? How is that possible? In my WARRIOR CATS book?? Tallstar's journey that was planned to be a murder mission turning into a life lesson was just perfect
@@soartearstudio it wasn't sudden, her reasoning was that it was too dangerous and that they lost enough cats in the tunnels already. The tunnelers argued that those were necessary to survive during hunger and that they could be used to protect and ambush other clans trying to attack them. We had some scenes with Tallpaw/Talltail realising that they are right (he caught the rabbit by cornering it into a tunnel) but his personal strive to become a runner was so strong he was willing to side with the leader just so he can avoid being a tunneler. It's a shame we never see Windclan struggling with food later to further drove the point, actually I would have prefered if those roles stayed but weren't pushed on anyone because of their parents' heritage, but still Heatherstar's decision wasn't out of nowhere and came from her worrying about her clanmates
I remember hoping so badly that striving to become leader would have been Hollyleaf's character arc. Her desire to be important to the clan but also her underlying longing for power would have been so interesting to read but instead she got pushed to the side for Jayfeather and Lionblaze purposes. Not only that but having her being the only non prophecy cat could have been so cool, they had so much they could have done with it smh.
Yes! Oh my god, It's one of the reasons she is one of my favourite characters, the amount of potential she has for AU's/rewrites of arc 3 are infinite and her being leader and having the aspect of ambition be more emphasized would have made her into an even more iconic character

To be honest I want a Main Character that doesn't believe in StarClan. Maybe it's a already adult cat. It would be interesting if they pretend to believe in StarClan but at the end of the day they really don't believe in it, then one day they become Deputy then Leader. A Leader that doesn't believe in StarClan, how would that even go? If they ever did a "Main Character becomes Leader" plotline (aside from this arc) this would make it really cool and fun to read.
Not believing in StarClan is impossible at this point, especially for an adult cat. They've now seen physically cats sucked into hell/die in hell. Not to mention how many were killed in the battle with the Dark Forest.
@@HorsesIC True. I think even Mothwing has accepted that StarClan exists. Just chooses not to follow/believe them for what they say or claim. Honestly she's probably the most interesting character to come about with how much StarClan's been shoved up and forefronted in the latest arcs, which is pretty cool.

Another benefit to having a new character we follow through an entire arc become leader over just an old one in a super edition is the nine lives ceremony - Firestar's ceremony was so powerful because they were all characters we knew that impacted Firestar's journey in some way, while super edition ceremonies only have a limited pool of dead characters to use before they just go like. "Here Crookedjaw this is Whateverclaw. You don't know them but they served RiverClan a long time ago. Have a life"
What I'd want is a "soft reboot". That is, after the end of Starless Clan there will be a time skip so large that none of the current characters are still alive. With maybe one of the elders being the child of one of the kits born late into the arc just to give a time frame of how much time has passed. They could still go back to the current timeline every now and then in Super Editions and novellas, but for the main series I think doing a soft reboot would do a lot of good.

I can think of a way to make Nightheart more interesting. Make him a villain. In River, he literally invents the concept of democracy, only to completely forget about it the next paragraph. He could try to overhaul the clans, he could go too far, etc etc.
I was thinking this too. The whole mediator idea could have been extrapolated on in interesting ways, and set a precedent for other specialized roles to become relevant. Something to give a few cats a little more to actually Do whether or not there's some wild outside force forcing conflict.
As one of the people screaming for nightheart to become leader (because it'll be really funny if he gets kicked out of shadowclan and just goes around messing things up for everyone), I will fully admit thats because I like to imagine them leaning into him sucking as a person rather than.... based on how they're likely to actually write him. I'd love to see a bunch of unqualified leaders tbh, just because the current ones have been around so long that there's no way anyone is ready to take on that position.

Not gonna lie, I really want to see Frostpaw become leader of Riverclan despite being overly inexperienced directly after they find out that all of her original visions were made up by her mother and grandmother. Just for some good ol interesting drama.

honestly I just want one of the protagonists to turn down being deputy since it's never happened before and it just seems so interesting. no cat has ever defined a position of power before when gifted it except pinestar but he had already been leader for a while before retiring to a kittypet. I want a cat who either is or dosent think they are fit for a position of power so strong, I want to see how the cats around them would react or even how starclan would react to their denied request.
i honestly wish that we would get a new leader every arc or so with a LOT more deputies. keeping characters in rotation for so long causes the reader to fall back on them rather than becoming attached to the newer ones and when our leaders are in the same position for SO long, we don't get the chance to have our recent protags become powerful
I agree but also don't know how the leaders could die so quickly with 9 extra lives. maybe it would be easier if this concept didn't exist, but I highly doubt that erins will get rid of it
@@happy_being6662 I could see them retconning it without saying a single word or just giving a lame excuse that "Starclan decided 9 lives aren't necessary anymore" or something but I feel like it's just one of those basic Warrior Cats concepts that just can't be removed, ever. The writers probably never expected for the series to grow as much as it did so the 9 lives never really mattered in the 1st arc anyway and were more of a quirk. Think about it, in the 1st arc Bluestar is on her last 2 lives already, Nightstar never receives them and Tigerstar loses all 9 at once. It's only really brought up with Firestar which is more like a tribute to those who lost their lives, a satisfying conclusion and a reward for his hard work. Yes, he loses one of his lives during the battle but, again, it feels more like a way to show how much he has grown and how much power he has now to wake up even when he is deadly wounded
I would love a "thinning of the herd" event to happen with some crazy humans turning lame warrior cats into kittypets or something that can allow them to return one day if they're actually needed.
Yeah, I've been hoping for like 2 series's (serieses? seresi?) that we would cut down the amount of cats per clan, so that the writers can actually make the main characters be friends or enemies with every cat in the clan instead of just having a group of 3 cats that the protagonist interacts with.

With Firestar, you could feel he changed things AND that he was the only one that could change things just the way he did. But the new characters feel like any other character could take their place and have the same result. The new series has big, grand ideas going on with none of the big, grand characters to back it up. Why should I care about the results of the conflict if the characters are all the same or simply barely there? Firestar meant something, but characters like Shadowsight or Rootspring? Not really. Anyone could've been Rootspring, anyone could've taken Bristlefrost's place. Still would've felt the same, at least to me. None of the new protags provided significant results based on their actions that really reflect on them, or make them memorable like Firestar is.
Tbh I stopped reading the books after firestar died, just lost interest in them after that because it felt like the same cookie cutter characters just in slightly different plots
I'd love to have TWO of the main cats have a joint journey towards leadership. Like maybe they are kin or very good friends and due to circumstances they both become deputies at roughly the same time. It would be an interesting point of view, how these two characters take on the role of leadership, constantly comparing themselves to eachother, their different personalities making them vastly different leaders. Just Imagine the drama that could create. Would it lead into resentment? Mutual respect? Eventual affection (kitty love drama between two deputies hasn't been done since Bluestar holy crap, and even then Bluefur wasn't yet deputy; how chaotic would a romance between two active deputies be?). Also unrelated but personally I'd love to see a more senior or even elderly cat become deputy and have their point of view be one of the main focus. I just think older cats deserve the spotlight too and this series is severely lacking in well developed older kitties.
Consider this: One of these cats grows and learns how to be a better person and leader over time, however the other continues to fall into instability and slowly turns into a villain. Just. The parallels. The foil potential. Bro the relationship potential. Omg what if they were both women.

I feel like the problem stems from having too many PoVs. Firestar got that much development because he had so much on screen time that they could do a lot of development. But if he had to share that same screentime with two other cats? There's wouldn't have been nearly as much. Honestly I'm on the side of please just give me one good PoV instead of three mediocre ones. EDIT: I paused to comment this too soon in the video, when I hit play you said exactly this haha.

Imo we need a soft reboot. In my perfect scenario we have a big apocalypse scale event (from the clans perspective), resulting in all the clans getting skyclan'd. Then in the next arc we'd have a protagonist completely removed from the past arcs, like, 50 years later, maybe with a group of cats TNP style, trying to put the clans back together, presumably after some kind of Devine intervention since all the cats we know now would be dead. Unless jayfeather becomes Rock 2 which might be fun but really I am hoping for a full cast-wide purge. Not that any of that will ever happen :/
If we're timeskipping 50 years then we don't even need an apocalypse. The Clans would be so far removed by then that any current events will be negligible.

Quite frankly, I get the point of Sunbeam just suddenly dropping the drama is kinda.. annoying for some, but I have seen this happen to one of my closest friends.. I saw her obsess and be completely heartbroken in a very similar scenario, though some different, and she was so deep into her sorrows, at that point she was struggling without actual reason. At this point she missed the idea of what could have been, and did not get better until she found love again.. I'm not going to lie, Sunbeam reminds me a lot of her, and this is completely plausible and relatable.. Sometimes we dwell so deep into pain and misery that we wont let ourselves be happy after we get 'over' the event.. And onlh then when we find a better place, we suddenly realise we aren't miserable anymore. I think Sunbeam was more in love with the idea of what could have been in the end, is my point, and we and her didn't realise from her perspective she had gotten over him due to her never truly realising herself
I think having a cat from the clans being interested in Tree's mediation position would be interesting! Seeing training from that, how Tree would mentor a cat from the clans to be in his position. How will he "train out" the Clan mentality/bias taught from a young age? I think thatd be interesting. Also, making more roles would be cool too
Frostpaw becoming leader is an interesting concept, or sort of being in a position of power while not directly going by that position name. Her disconnection with starclan could create something very interesting when she’s older if she tries to get her 9 lives and just nothing happens because she struggles to be connected. Mothwing is also a good choice because of her having a lot of distrust too. I feel like she would refuse to go to get her nine lives if she became leader, and that is another path to go down. But Frostpaw I enjoy just because she knows starclan is out there but it’s out of reach. There are some good options with Riverclan with these two and it’s good to focus on a clan that isn’t Riverclan.
I really hope we get Squirrelstar, she has pretty much always done what is best for the clan. Bramblestar is sitting in his den with trauma. So Squirrelstar supremacy no Nightstar please
i actually DEEPLY want Nightheart to become leader JUST FOR THE WORDPLAY- He'd be Nightstar, and presumably mates with Sunbeam, and i think that those two names just play off each other really hilariously

I like to think that the reason we don't hear about Kitescratch and Turtlecrawl bullying Rootspring after Lost Stars is because they lost interest in picking on him as they grew up. I remember two people who spent a stupid amount of time making me feel like crap in middle school and just didn't bother anymore when we got to high school. But it would have been nice for the books to acknowledge it a bit more. Turtlecrawl looks at Rootspring admiringly when the Clan leaders are praising the Lights in the Mist though so there's that.
In my FanClan story I decided to split into only 2 POVs for each book, one a newcomer to the Colonies and one a newly-fledged Tracker (kinda like a Warrior, but hunting and patrolling focused). It means I'll have to wait to get to a POV I'm excited for but it feels much better on the pacing and to not overwhelm readers since it's an absolute overhaul of the Clan premise.
I think something that would be interesting would be a big-ish timeskip, probably after this arc? There's so much that's happened back-to-back that everything kind of feels cluttered together nowadays :"D Following a cat going from apprentice to leader again would be interesting as well!

I'm trying to think of which clan could use a new leader that we can follow the life of for the next arc but, there's a good chance that we're getting Hawkstar in SkyClan, Harestar likely has too many lives for it to be because of his death (it's not unlikely that he'll be forced to step down, I know at least one writer doesn't like him and thinks him selfish), Bramble or Tiger are getting replaced this arc no doubt so unless Sunbeam is getting that apprentice and replacing Cloverfoot that's not happening, and if one isn't brought up for replacing this arc it'll likely never happen unless it's "for the plot" and we're still working on getting RiverClan's new leader so unless that poll asking who we want to become leader is actually serious about making Frostpaw leader (please no she's been through enough) then I don't think the new RiverClan leader will be any of our protags. It'll be a minute before we can reasonably get a leader POV cat unless the writers BS it like "oh you didn't know that Harestar was down to his last life after Lionblaze killed him? Man, you aren't paying attention to anything are you?" or pull a Scourge out from their pocket or even have another Rowanclaw thing happen. I don't want any of our current protags to be leader though, however much fun it'd be for plot reasons for a horrid leader choice like Nightheart would be.
i always wondered what would happen if this series this whole time had a separate pov for each character, and that way we could have more screentime for whoever that u pick, since switching povs could expose secrets and mystery that other characters wouldnt know abt but the reader knew cuz of the switches
being a mostly warriors reader for years and then reading WOF really opened my eyes to the mountains of missed potential in warrior cats. seeing the way Tui T. Sutherland lovingly crafts the world and characters (with very few character/continuity inconsistencies) and then comparing that to a TEAM OF PEOPLE who need to do the same for warrior cats,,,, its certainly something
I think a video talking about how the death rate of kits went down by a lot when the clans moved to the lake could be a good topic. Before it was common to lose entire litters, but when the cats moved to the lake, the thunder clan kits who have died are Juniperkit, Flickerkit, and Dandelionkit. That's pretty much it.
“Choose someone they least expect.” Frostpaw doesn’t even expect Frostpaw. I think it should be her. Mothwing has been shown to at least be competent and not like the role.
I /NEED/ splashtail as a shitty confrontational leader so much. I need it more than water at this point. Also, 110% agree with you about the mentor thing. I personally really liked Leopardstar's Honor despite the everything *because* of the sort of bond that she had with Whiteclaw. There's also a lot of other routes for apprentice & mentor bonds to take in the series; what about them having to train an apprentice alongside a cat they can't stand? How about losing an apprentice before they're made a warrior? How about having an apprentice who reminds them of a dead relative / friend or who is directly related to them? How about an apprentice who interferes with or impacts the run-of-the-mill romance plot in some way? Etc !
It's obvi been awhile since I read and I love me an ensemble cast - but I almost wonder if the lack of goals from the protagonists/disappointing character development would be solved if they focused on just one (1) protagonist for a series again. Like as much as I love PoT some of these issues come up in the case of Lionpaw/blaze too because Hollyleaf + Jayfeather's plots end up taking way more intrigue and space. And we can still have a cast of three - Firestar, Graystripe and Ravenpaw/Sandstorm worked out great, but having the scope shrink a little bit may... remove some strain? Idk LMAO

I feel you on the "following generations of family lines" and "succession drama" points. I've been really enjoying having one fanfic I'm really invested in writing and just spending a lot of time thinking about the future generations and drama of the clans in my fic :)
We need an arc without a med cat protagonist or ThunderClan protagonist. We need another WindClan protagonist tho. And we need some new characters to have new problems that aren’t related to family, mates, or the “warrior code” (and the Clans need to stop bickering about that ALL THE FREAKING TIME) I propose that we kill off all of the existing leaders and put new different ones in their places. And their deputy’s too.
This would probably be best done with a reboot set in the future after a long timeskip. There’s no non-contrived way to kill off all ten cats in leadership roles simultaneously.
Alderheart is my favorite character and if THEY KILL HIM OFF I SWEAR- And honestly I think everyone was thinking this but Ivypool would be the best choice for deputy, I have no Idea why Squilf chose Lionblaze
They could make an arc that takes a looooonnnng time in the future with new characters. That way we could have new characters who become leader with better goals.
An interesting story I just thought of on the fly would be a kit who was saved by their leader and from then on idolizes them and works to become just like their leader. But when they actually become leader, they struggle with it, realizing how hard of a job it actually is and makes the Clan weak.
Is it just me or would a kit main character be interesting? Like watching them grow up from a kit to a apprentice to a warrior and then maybe to a deputy or even leader over some arcs would be cool! I wanna see a little kit's perspective more
If I was writing, I'd create an arc where Jayfeather, Rootspring and Frostpaw all team up to battle the very spirit of the Dark Forest which turns out to also be the spirit of humanity. Along the way they'd learn about the origins of Jayfeather's stick, Starclan's powers, the Sisters' powers, and meet the spirits of Lionclan, Leopardclan and Tigerclan cats.
I think Nightheart becoming leader would be a fun idea. Yes they are related to Firestar but really. Someone HATING the idea of being like Firestar then being forced into the same job, made a deputy and eventually before they were able to get out of the role they are made leader. Learning that even if they are in their grandfather's shadow they can make their clan better. But that is just amusing to me xD
That's kinda funny because in fanfictions (or maybe older fanfics) the plot was always basically a kit to leader kind of situation Maybe it was only in french fanfictions (because most french warrior fans are younger then english one, we only have like two youtubers who started their channel as adults (and maybe the dude actually started it when he was a kid) like, I just turned 18 and I'm pretty sure I'm part of the older group of french warriors fans) because we were younger and only arc 1 and 2 had come out at the time so POV rising to power was more of a stample but yeah ... strange
This video has made me realize that I accidentally made the characters in my AU interesting just by giving them guns. It gives me the chance to have characters specialize into different roles: sharpshooters, mortar operators, machine gunners, door breachers, tank commanders; and even non-combat roles like communications and cooks.
A huge reason why the characters are all a blur nowadays is because there ARE SO MANY. They need to kill off characters dude. Like I loved Runningwind, so much. I wish I got to know more about him before he died. Thats what makes it so catching to read: cats die so much, we want our favorites to make it. We don’t have that anymore, everyone just lives
3:34 Oh I think specifically Nightheart would be a fun leader, if the Erins were a bit more courageous and also doubling down on some of his setup- not really caring about rules, proposing radical changes, thinking he knows best. I still kind of want to write a FF of him becoming leader, failing hard at it initially because its not as easy and his ideas arent as great as he thought, then learning from his mistakes, growing as a charactr and either completely revamping one of the clans or splitting off a new clan. I dont quite remember what I had exactly in mind (wrote it down somewhere), but it definitely included more clan roles and an advisory panel to the leader or just straight up an almost council leadership. I just think it would be interesting to have the character running from being seen as "Firestars kin" accidentally become a leader just as amazing and pivotal as firestar was, but in a completely different, radical way. Kind of an ironic greek play: Character runs from destiny pushed upon him, accidentally fulfills this destiny in a completely unexpected way. And Im really not into Sun x Night, but it would be great to have a bunch of the cats set up to be unhappy with the status quo join his rogue group. With the three protagonist, the core of a clan is already there, sun could be his trusted advisor/second in comand/friend (I really dislike how rare genuine, not romantic turning friendship is in those books) and Frost obviously would be the medicine cat. Them becoming friends, breaking off and building up another clan has better potential than another annexation of RiverClan by Shadowclan. Like dont get me wrong, I know Nightheart is a shit but specifically because of this it could be fun to see him grow
Idk I like this edgy boy sulking in the corner. Not because of what he is in the books, but because of what he COULD BE through fanfictions and headcannons and authors that were actually creative and status-quo shaking for once.
New arcs are disappointing for me, because Hunters forgot about things in previous series and change them completely. For example, Shadowsight: - His visions helped Tigerheart and other cats to find way to the lake - His vision saved the Tribe from dying - His vision told him that his drowning will unite the clans (and it kinda worked) And then in series 7 all of this became forgotten and Shadowsight got connect only with a dark
I would like to have a main series character become leader because I want to watch what they would do with the power. Medicine cats, despite what they're supposed to be, don't actually hold any power. They have to ask permission from the leader. But the leader doesn't need permission. I want to see a leader make bad decisions and making up for them (like Bluestar, Leopardstar, Onestar etc). I want to see a leader who takes advantage of the position to do things (either good or bad).
I'm so tired of this "Sunbeam is a bad friend" thing! Sunbeam was treated poorly by Lightleap. Even before Lightleap lied about her injury, it's heavily implied that Lightleap is just a very neglectful and reckless fruend. Then, to top it all off, she dates her best friend's boyfriend behind her back. Like, that is a very valid reason to not like someone anymore. It's actually crazy to me that she's trying to get over it at all
The thought of Mothwing of becoming leader is actually pretty cool and would do something at least a bit interesting. But where are our Windclan protagonists? I don't remember a single Windclan cat that we don't already know a lot about (I mean Crowfeather or Breezepelt) have much main character moments. What I also mean by that is out of ALL of the leaders why do only Bramblestar and Tigerheartstar the only focused on leaders? I mean we know enough about them, idc who else you may focus on maybe even a forgotten character or someone we don't even know the slightest bit about (Harestar for all I care, or anyone else please).
Yeah I'd want new leaders, maybe not now but sometime. Just imagine most of the leaders just retired or died, there would be a new generation of younger leaders trying to find out how to handle things like the dawn of the clans. Or perhaps a new role people could play even if it wasn't an "official" role, it was just someone who took on a responsibility and made them interesting.
I think most of the problems with the multi-POV stuff are mostly just time constraints. The main series books are roughly 300 pages long and their audiobook counterparts are about eight or nine hours long. Multiply that by six and you get a little over 50 hours of inciting, progressing, and concluding the story of a handful of cats. Unfortunately, a good chunk of that time is dedicated to faffing about doing nothing but hunting and border patrols and not progressing the story much further, made even more frustrating with the newer books' insistence on rotating the POVs very rigidly (with some exception) so they get more or less even distribution about the book, even if they have very little to contribute (Alderheart) or have the most interesting plotline. I've started up on reading The Wheel of Time and I really enjoy how they handle POV. Yes, POV sometimes changes mid-chapter, even to random strangers on occasion, but it's all meant to build tension, flesh out the secondary cast, and actually help progress the plot. Being confined to three perspectives isn't helping Warriors imo, as it effectively locks us out of the headspace of other major players outside of the prologues and bonus chapters. Making things worse is the time constraints, as Eye of the World is 30 hours long and I feel more connected to the Emond's Field Five than I do with Nightheart, Sunbeam, and _especially Frostpaw_ since the book let me organically learn who they are. I'd even argue that as more or less okay TPB was, it would've been better if we'd gotten perspectives of other characters, nullifying the need for Leopardstar's Honor, Tigerclaw's Fury, Exile From Shadowclan, and A Thief in Thunderclan. We'd get to see Tigerclaw scheming. we'd get to see Mistyfoot's and/or Leopardstar's opinions _from their heads_ on Silverstream's fling and Graystripe's performance in Riverclan. We'd get to see Ravenpaw find Cloudpaw and interact with the Windclan cats. We'd get to see Runningnose barely holding Shadowclan up. We'd get to see what Sandstorm, Yellowfang, Bluestar, and Cinderpelt think about Firestar as he's running around the territory and they're having _idle casual chatter._ We'd get to see the elders' thoughts on him, maybe the queens too to give them relevance, we'd get to see Onewhisker help make Windclan freaking relevant in TPB, we'd get to see Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw's reflections of what Fireheart and Goldenflower have told them of their father, maybe even Princess or Smudge could spare a chapter or two for building up how the town's streets are getting more and more unsafe for a kittypet with Bloodclan on the rise. Hell, you could even sprinkle some Watership Down inspiration by someone orating a legend of Lionclan, Tigerclan, or Leopardclan to give the Clans some form of oral tradition. TPB is _fine,_ it's a complete story, but there are a lot of empty gaps (along with bad or unnecessary plot directions), and I don't think just doing what Wings of Fire does will magically fix POV problems (as that has its own problems).

I feel the exact same way about the lack of... personal ambition in warriors. Like, there's like 3 roles. All (usually) filled. So like, I feel like the cats don't have anything to believable aspire to in their day to day life. Like all they care about is being a good warrior, which I feel like is vague, but I guess you can argue is just making sure your peers are fed and safe. But idk, it feels.... homogeneous.
I’d like to see a medicine cat become leader. This would be interesting as it wouldn’t have been done before permanently. It would create new situations due to the leader having much more experience with starclan than other leaders. Of course it would have to happen under abnormal circumstances but it’s a challenge I’d like to see attempted. (I got my eye on you FrostPaw 👀)

Frostpaw and Mothwing are the two cats I'd most like to see take over RiverClan for sure! I think it would be a really fun plotline (especially if Mothwing is chosen, as I'm not sure how she'd receive her nine lives). I also like the idea of just RiverClan (or another clan) potentially merging the roles of medicine cat and leader permanently.

and in arc one, hes RELATABLE. has friends (graystripe and ravenpaw) has anxiety (being deputy, tigerclaw), atleast a little dumb, like he brings alot of outsiders in. actually has punishments, etc.

"I want something new" is the exact reason I want a female pov to have kits WHILE being a pov. We've never had that in a main series book. Sure, we got queen perspectives in Bluestar's Prophecy, Moth Flight's Vision and the SkyClan manga but I want one in the main series because it would be SOMETHING NEW!! And kids are so unexpected in what they'll do next so it'd be so easy to cause drama or action with them. Or have one kit get sick and the pov trying to balance herself between worrying about the sick one and caring for the healthy ones.
And I definitely think the arcs need to span through more time and not just like.. One year. At best. Broken Code plot didn't last even that long.

Tallstar's Revenge in general lives in my head rent free since I read it, probably my favourite Warrior Cats book with my favourite cat (Tallstar ofc), interesting backstory, good character development, natural but bittersweet gay romance and so so much more. I'd argue this superedition is better packed than some main story series. The conflict inside the clan was so refreshing, it actually had a reason and the writers even managed to make you understand and feel the struggles of both sides of the conflict? How is that possible? In my WARRIOR CATS book?? Tallstar's journey that was planned to be a murder mission turning into a life lesson was just perfect
@@soartearstudio it wasn't sudden, her reasoning was that it was too dangerous and that they lost enough cats in the tunnels already. The tunnelers argued that those were necessary to survive during hunger and that they could be used to protect and ambush other clans trying to attack them. We had some scenes with Tallpaw/Talltail realising that they are right (he caught the rabbit by cornering it into a tunnel) but his personal strive to become a runner was so strong he was willing to side with the leader just so he can avoid being a tunneler. It's a shame we never see Windclan struggling with food later to further drove the point, actually I would have prefered if those roles stayed but weren't pushed on anyone because of their parents' heritage, but still Heatherstar's decision wasn't out of nowhere and came from her worrying about her clanmates
I remember hoping so badly that striving to become leader would have been Hollyleaf's character arc. Her desire to be important to the clan but also her underlying longing for power would have been so interesting to read but instead she got pushed to the side for Jayfeather and Lionblaze purposes. Not only that but having her being the only non prophecy cat could have been so cool, they had so much they could have done with it smh.
Yes! Oh my god, It's one of the reasons she is one of my favourite characters, the amount of potential she has for AU's/rewrites of arc 3 are infinite and her being leader and having the aspect of ambition be more emphasized would have made her into an even more iconic character

It would be interesting if they pretend to believe in StarClan but at the end of the day they really don't believe in it, then one day they become Deputy then Leader. A Leader that doesn't believe in StarClan, how would that even go?
If they ever did a "Main Character becomes Leader" plotline (aside from this arc) this would make it really cool and fun to read.
Not believing in StarClan is impossible at this point, especially for an adult cat. They've now seen physically cats sucked into hell/die in hell. Not to mention how many were killed in the battle with the Dark Forest.

Another benefit to having a new character we follow through an entire arc become leader over just an old one in a super edition is the nine lives ceremony - Firestar's ceremony was so powerful because they were all characters we knew that impacted Firestar's journey in some way, while super edition ceremonies only have a limited pool of dead characters to use before they just go like. "Here Crookedjaw this is Whateverclaw. You don't know them but they served RiverClan a long time ago. Have a life"

What I'd want is a "soft reboot".
That is, after the end of Starless Clan there will be a time skip so large that none of the current characters are still alive. With maybe one of the elders being the child of one of the kits born late into the arc just to give a time frame of how much time has passed.
They could still go back to the current timeline every now and then in Super Editions and novellas, but for the main series I think doing a soft reboot would do a lot of good.

I was thinking this too. The whole mediator idea could have been extrapolated on in interesting ways, and set a precedent for other specialized roles to become relevant. Something to give a few cats a little more to actually Do whether or not there's some wild outside force forcing conflict.
As one of the people screaming for nightheart to become leader (because it'll be really funny if he gets kicked out of shadowclan and just goes around messing things up for everyone), I will fully admit thats because I like to imagine them leaning into him sucking as a person rather than.... based on how they're likely to actually write him. I'd love to see a bunch of unqualified leaders tbh, just because the current ones have been around so long that there's no way anyone is ready to take on that position.

honestly I just want one of the protagonists to turn down being deputy since it's never happened before and it just seems so interesting. no cat has ever defined a position of power before when gifted it except pinestar but he had already been leader for a while before retiring to a kittypet. I want a cat who either is or dosent think they are fit for a position of power so strong, I want to see how the cats around them would react or even how starclan would react to their denied request.
When reading the darkest hour i expected greystripe to deny firestar's request in becoming deputy and now I'm a little disappointed that he didn't
i honestly wish that we would get a new leader every arc or so with a LOT more deputies. keeping characters in rotation for so long causes the reader to fall back on them rather than becoming attached to the newer ones and when our leaders are in the same position for SO long, we don't get the chance to have our recent protags become powerful
I agree but also don't know how the leaders could die so quickly with 9 extra lives. maybe it would be easier if this concept didn't exist, but I highly doubt that erins will get rid of it
@@happy_being6662 I could see them retconning it without saying a single word or just giving a lame excuse that "Starclan decided 9 lives aren't necessary anymore" or something but I feel like it's just one of those basic Warrior Cats concepts that just can't be removed, ever. The writers probably never expected for the series to grow as much as it did so the 9 lives never really mattered in the 1st arc anyway and were more of a quirk. Think about it, in the 1st arc Bluestar is on her last 2 lives already, Nightstar never receives them and Tigerstar loses all 9 at once. It's only really brought up with Firestar which is more like a tribute to those who lost their lives, a satisfying conclusion and a reward for his hard work. Yes, he loses one of his lives during the battle but, again, it feels more like a way to show how much he has grown and how much power he has now to wake up even when he is deadly wounded

Yeah, I've been hoping for like 2 series's (serieses? seresi?) that we would cut down the amount of cats per clan, so that the writers can actually make the main characters be friends or enemies with every cat in the clan instead of just having a group of 3 cats that the protagonist interacts with.

With Firestar, you could feel he changed things AND that he was the only one that could change things just the way he did. But the new characters feel like any other character could take their place and have the same result.
The new series has big, grand ideas going on with none of the big, grand characters to back it up. Why should I care about the results of the conflict if the characters are all the same or simply barely there? Firestar meant something, but characters like Shadowsight or Rootspring? Not really. Anyone could've been Rootspring, anyone could've taken Bristlefrost's place. Still would've felt the same, at least to me.
None of the new protags provided significant results based on their actions that really reflect on them, or make them memorable like Firestar is.
Tbh I stopped reading the books after firestar died, just lost interest in them after that because it felt like the same cookie cutter characters just in slightly different plots
I really hope Nightheart isn't made leader, but I do hope the fandom makes him into the new Scourge.
I'd love to have TWO of the main cats have a joint journey towards leadership. Like maybe they are kin or very good friends and due to circumstances they both become deputies at roughly the same time. It would be an interesting point of view, how these two characters take on the role of leadership, constantly comparing themselves to eachother, their different personalities making them vastly different leaders. Just Imagine the drama that could create. Would it lead into resentment? Mutual respect? Eventual affection (kitty love drama between two deputies hasn't been done since Bluestar holy crap, and even then Bluefur wasn't yet deputy; how chaotic would a romance between two active deputies be?).
Also unrelated but personally I'd love to see a more senior or even elderly cat become deputy and have their point of view be one of the main focus. I just think older cats deserve the spotlight too and this series is severely lacking in well developed older kitties.
Consider this: One of these cats grows and learns how to be a better person and leader over time, however the other continues to fall into instability and slowly turns into a villain. Just. The parallels. The foil potential. Bro the relationship potential. Omg what if they were both women.

I feel like the problem stems from having too many PoVs. Firestar got that much development because he had so much on screen time that they could do a lot of development. But if he had to share that same screentime with two other cats? There's wouldn't have been nearly as much. Honestly I'm on the side of please just give me one good PoV instead of three mediocre ones. EDIT: I paused to comment this too soon in the video, when I hit play you said exactly this haha.

Imo we need a soft reboot. In my perfect scenario we have a big apocalypse scale event (from the clans perspective), resulting in all the clans getting skyclan'd. Then in the next arc we'd have a protagonist completely removed from the past arcs, like, 50 years later, maybe with a group of cats TNP style, trying to put the clans back together, presumably after some kind of Devine intervention since all the cats we know now would be dead. Unless jayfeather becomes Rock 2 which might be fun but really I am hoping for a full cast-wide purge. Not that any of that will ever happen :/
If we're timeskipping 50 years then we don't even need an apocalypse. The Clans would be so far removed by then that any current events will be negligible.

Quite frankly, I get the point of Sunbeam just suddenly dropping the drama is kinda.. annoying for some, but I have seen this happen to one of my closest friends.. I saw her obsess and be completely heartbroken in a very similar scenario, though some different, and she was so deep into her sorrows, at that point she was struggling without actual reason. At this point she missed the idea of what could have been, and did not get better until she found love again.. I'm not going to lie, Sunbeam reminds me a lot of her, and this is completely plausible and relatable.. Sometimes we dwell so deep into pain and misery that we wont let ourselves be happy after we get 'over' the event.. And onlh then when we find a better place, we suddenly realise we aren't miserable anymore. I think Sunbeam was more in love with the idea of what could have been in the end, is my point, and we and her didn't realise from her perspective she had gotten over him due to her never truly realising herself

I think having a cat from the clans being interested in Tree's mediation position would be interesting! Seeing training from that, how Tree would mentor a cat from the clans to be in his position. How will he "train out" the Clan mentality/bias taught from a young age? I think thatd be interesting. Also, making more roles would be cool too
Frostpaw becoming leader is an interesting concept, or sort of being in a position of power while not directly going by that position name. Her disconnection with starclan could create something very interesting when she’s older if she tries to get her 9 lives and just nothing happens because she struggles to be connected. Mothwing is also a good choice because of her having a lot of distrust too. I feel like she would refuse to go to get her nine lives if she became leader, and that is another path to go down. But Frostpaw I enjoy just because she knows starclan is out there but it’s out of reach. There are some good options with Riverclan with these two and it’s good to focus on a clan that isn’t Riverclan.
I really hope we get Squirrelstar, she has pretty much always done what is best for the clan. Bramblestar is sitting in his den with trauma. So Squirrelstar supremacy

I like to think that the reason we don't hear about Kitescratch and Turtlecrawl bullying Rootspring after Lost Stars is because they lost interest in picking on him as they grew up. I remember two people who spent a stupid amount of time making me feel like crap in middle school and just didn't bother anymore when we got to high school. But it would have been nice for the books to acknowledge it a bit more. Turtlecrawl looks at Rootspring admiringly when the Clan leaders are praising the Lights in the Mist though so there's that.
In my FanClan story I decided to split into only 2 POVs for each book, one a newcomer to the Colonies and one a newly-fledged Tracker (kinda like a Warrior, but hunting and patrolling focused). It means I'll have to wait to get to a POV I'm excited for but it feels much better on the pacing and to not overwhelm readers since it's an absolute overhaul of the Clan premise.
I think something that would be interesting would be a big-ish timeskip, probably after this arc? There's so much that's happened back-to-back that everything kind of feels cluttered together nowadays :"D Following a cat going from apprentice to leader again would be interesting as well!

Warrior cats feels a lot like 'the young and the restless' and 'as the world turns' with a dash of k-drama, but with cats.
I'm trying to think of which clan could use a new leader that we can follow the life of for the next arc but, there's a good chance that we're getting Hawkstar in SkyClan, Harestar likely has too many lives for it to be because of his death (it's not unlikely that he'll be forced to step down, I know at least one writer doesn't like him and thinks him selfish), Bramble or Tiger are getting replaced this arc no doubt so unless Sunbeam is getting that apprentice and replacing Cloverfoot that's not happening, and if one isn't brought up for replacing this arc it'll likely never happen unless it's "for the plot" and we're still working on getting RiverClan's new leader so unless that poll asking who we want to become leader is actually serious about making Frostpaw leader (please no she's been through enough) then I don't think the new RiverClan leader will be any of our protags.
It'll be a minute before we can reasonably get a leader POV cat unless the writers BS it like "oh you didn't know that Harestar was down to his last life after Lionblaze killed him? Man, you aren't paying attention to anything are you?" or pull a Scourge out from their pocket or even have another Rowanclaw thing happen. I don't want any of our current protags to be leader though, however much fun it'd be for plot reasons for a horrid leader choice like Nightheart would be.
i always wondered what would happen if this series this whole time had a separate pov for each character, and that way we could have more screentime for whoever that u pick, since switching povs could expose secrets and mystery that other characters wouldnt know abt but the reader knew cuz of the switches

being a mostly warriors reader for years and then reading WOF really opened my eyes to the mountains of missed potential in warrior cats. seeing the way Tui T. Sutherland lovingly crafts the world and characters (with very few character/continuity inconsistencies) and then comparing that to a TEAM OF PEOPLE who need to do the same for warrior cats,,,, its certainly something
I think a video talking about how the death rate of kits went down by a lot when the clans moved to the lake could be a good topic. Before it was common to lose entire litters, but when the cats moved to the lake, the thunder clan kits who have died are Juniperkit, Flickerkit, and Dandelionkit. That's pretty much it.

I /NEED/ splashtail as a shitty confrontational leader so much. I need it more than water at this point. Also, 110% agree with you about the mentor thing. I personally really liked Leopardstar's Honor despite the everything *because* of the sort of bond that she had with Whiteclaw. There's also a lot of other routes for apprentice & mentor bonds to take in the series; what about them having to train an apprentice alongside a cat they can't stand? How about losing an apprentice before they're made a warrior? How about having an apprentice who reminds them of a dead relative / friend or who is directly related to them? How about an apprentice who interferes with or impacts the run-of-the-mill romance plot in some way? Etc !
It's obvi been awhile since I read and I love me an ensemble cast - but I almost wonder if the lack of goals from the protagonists/disappointing character development would be solved if they focused on just one (1) protagonist for a series again. Like as much as I love PoT some of these issues come up in the case of Lionpaw/blaze too because Hollyleaf + Jayfeather's plots end up taking way more intrigue and space. And we can still have a cast of three - Firestar, Graystripe and Ravenpaw/Sandstorm worked out great, but having the scope shrink a little bit may... remove some strain? Idk LMAO

I feel you on the "following generations of family lines" and "succession drama" points. I've been really enjoying having one fanfic I'm really invested in writing and just spending a lot of time thinking about the future generations and drama of the clans in my fic :)
We need an arc without a med cat protagonist or ThunderClan protagonist. We need another WindClan protagonist tho. And we need some new characters to have new problems that aren’t related to family, mates, or the “warrior code” (and the Clans need to stop bickering about that ALL THE FREAKING TIME) I propose that we kill off all of the existing leaders and put new different ones in their places. And their deputy’s too.
This would probably be best done with a reboot set in the future after a long timeskip. There’s no non-contrived way to kill off all ten cats in leadership roles simultaneously.

An interesting story I just thought of on the fly would be a kit who was saved by their leader and from then on idolizes them and works to become just like their leader. But when they actually become leader, they struggle with it, realizing how hard of a job it actually is and makes the Clan weak.

If I was writing, I'd create an arc where Jayfeather, Rootspring and Frostpaw all team up to battle the very spirit of the Dark Forest which turns out to also be the spirit of humanity. Along the way they'd learn about the origins of Jayfeather's stick, Starclan's powers, the Sisters' powers, and meet the spirits of Lionclan, Leopardclan and Tigerclan cats.
I think Nightheart becoming leader would be a fun idea. Yes they are related to Firestar but really. Someone HATING the idea of being like Firestar then being forced into the same job, made a deputy and eventually before they were able to get out of the role they are made leader. Learning that even if they are in their grandfather's shadow they can make their clan better.
But that is just amusing to me xD

Maybe it was only in french fanfictions (because most french warrior fans are younger then english one, we only have like two youtubers who started their channel as adults (and maybe the dude actually started it when he was a kid) like, I just turned 18 and I'm pretty sure I'm part of the older group of french warriors fans) because we were younger and only arc 1 and 2 had come out at the time so POV rising to power was more of a stample but yeah ... strange

This video has made me realize that I accidentally made the characters in my AU interesting just by giving them guns. It gives me the chance to have characters specialize into different roles: sharpshooters, mortar operators, machine gunners, door breachers, tank commanders; and even non-combat roles like communications and cooks.
Remember when we were all stoked to find out Windclan had tunnelers? That was an interesting job to learn about breifly.
A huge reason why the characters are all a blur nowadays is because there ARE SO MANY. They need to kill off characters dude. Like I loved Runningwind, so much. I wish I got to know more about him before he died. Thats what makes it so catching to read: cats die so much, we want our favorites to make it. We don’t have that anymore, everyone just lives
3:34 Oh I think specifically Nightheart would be a fun leader, if the Erins were a bit more courageous and also doubling down on some of his setup- not really caring about rules, proposing radical changes, thinking he knows best. I still kind of want to write a FF of him becoming leader, failing hard at it initially because its not as easy and his ideas arent as great as he thought, then learning from his mistakes, growing as a charactr and either completely revamping one of the clans or splitting off a new clan. I dont quite remember what I had exactly in mind (wrote it down somewhere), but it definitely included more clan roles and an advisory panel to the leader or just straight up an almost council leadership. I just think it would be interesting to have the character running from being seen as "Firestars kin" accidentally become a leader just as amazing and pivotal as firestar was, but in a completely different, radical way.
Kind of an ironic greek play: Character runs from destiny pushed upon him, accidentally fulfills this destiny in a completely unexpected way.
And Im really not into Sun x Night, but it would be great to have a bunch of the cats set up to be unhappy with the status quo join his rogue group. With the three protagonist, the core of a clan is already there, sun could be his trusted advisor/second in comand/friend (I really dislike how rare genuine, not romantic turning friendship is in those books) and Frost obviously would be the medicine cat. Them becoming friends, breaking off and building up another clan has better potential than another annexation of RiverClan by Shadowclan.
Like dont get me wrong, I know Nightheart is a shit but specifically because of this it could be fun to see him grow

New arcs are disappointing for me, because Hunters forgot about things in previous series and change them completely. For example, Shadowsight:
- His visions helped Tigerheart and other cats to find way to the lake
- His vision saved the Tribe from dying
- His vision told him that his drowning will unite the clans (and it kinda worked)
And then in series 7 all of this became forgotten and Shadowsight got connect only with a dark
I would like to have a main series character become leader because I want to watch what they would do with the power. Medicine cats, despite what they're supposed to be, don't actually hold any power. They have to ask permission from the leader. But the leader doesn't need permission. I want to see a leader make bad decisions and making up for them (like Bluestar, Leopardstar, Onestar etc). I want to see a leader who takes advantage of the position to do things (either good or bad).
I'm so tired of this "Sunbeam is a bad friend" thing! Sunbeam was treated poorly by Lightleap. Even before Lightleap lied about her injury, it's heavily implied that Lightleap is just a very neglectful and reckless fruend. Then, to top it all off, she dates her best friend's boyfriend behind her back. Like, that is a very valid reason to not like someone anymore. It's actually crazy to me that she's trying to get over it at all
The thought of Mothwing of becoming leader is actually pretty cool and would do something at least a bit interesting. But where are our Windclan protagonists? I don't remember a single Windclan cat that we don't already know a lot about (I mean Crowfeather or Breezepelt) have much main character moments. What I also mean by that is out of ALL of the leaders why do only Bramblestar and Tigerheartstar the only focused on leaders? I mean we know enough about them, idc who else you may focus on maybe even a forgotten character or someone we don't even know the slightest bit about (Harestar for all I care, or anyone else please).

Yeah I'd want new leaders, maybe not now but sometime. Just imagine most of the leaders just retired or died, there would be a new generation of younger leaders trying to find out how to handle things like the dawn of the clans. Or perhaps a new role people could play even if it wasn't an "official" role, it was just someone who took on a responsibility and made them interesting.

I think most of the problems with the multi-POV stuff are mostly just time constraints. The main series books are roughly 300 pages long and their audiobook counterparts are about eight or nine hours long. Multiply that by six and you get a little over 50 hours of inciting, progressing, and concluding the story of a handful of cats. Unfortunately, a good chunk of that time is dedicated to faffing about doing nothing but hunting and border patrols and not progressing the story much further, made even more frustrating with the newer books' insistence on rotating the POVs very rigidly (with some exception) so they get more or less even distribution about the book, even if they have very little to contribute (Alderheart) or have the most interesting plotline.
I've started up on reading The Wheel of Time and I really enjoy how they handle POV. Yes, POV sometimes changes mid-chapter, even to random strangers on occasion, but it's all meant to build tension, flesh out the secondary cast, and actually help progress the plot. Being confined to three perspectives isn't helping Warriors imo, as it effectively locks us out of the headspace of other major players outside of the prologues and bonus chapters. Making things worse is the time constraints, as Eye of the World is 30 hours long and I feel more connected to the Emond's Field Five than I do with Nightheart, Sunbeam, and _especially Frostpaw_ since the book let me organically learn who they are.
I'd even argue that as more or less okay TPB was, it would've been better if we'd gotten perspectives of other characters, nullifying the need for Leopardstar's Honor, Tigerclaw's Fury, Exile From Shadowclan, and A Thief in Thunderclan. We'd get to see Tigerclaw scheming. we'd get to see Mistyfoot's and/or Leopardstar's opinions _from their heads_ on Silverstream's fling and Graystripe's performance in Riverclan. We'd get to see Ravenpaw find Cloudpaw and interact with the Windclan cats. We'd get to see Runningnose barely holding Shadowclan up. We'd get to see what Sandstorm, Yellowfang, Bluestar, and Cinderpelt think about Firestar as he's running around the territory and they're having _idle casual chatter._ We'd get to see the elders' thoughts on him, maybe the queens too to give them relevance, we'd get to see Onewhisker help make Windclan freaking relevant in TPB, we'd get to see Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw's reflections of what Fireheart and Goldenflower have told them of their father, maybe even Princess or Smudge could spare a chapter or two for building up how the town's streets are getting more and more unsafe for a kittypet with Bloodclan on the rise. Hell, you could even sprinkle some Watership Down inspiration by someone orating a legend of Lionclan, Tigerclan, or Leopardclan to give the Clans some form of oral tradition.
TPB is _fine,_ it's a complete story, but there are a lot of empty gaps (along with bad or unnecessary plot directions), and I don't think just doing what Wings of Fire does will magically fix POV problems (as that has its own problems).

I feel the exact same way about the lack of... personal ambition in warriors. Like, there's like 3 roles. All (usually) filled. So like, I feel like the cats don't have anything to believable aspire to in their day to day life. Like all they care about is being a good warrior, which I feel like is vague, but I guess you can argue is just making sure your peers are fed and safe. But idk, it feels.... homogeneous.
