The allusions to the dark forest, the callback to Walk Without the Stars, the mention of Briarlight in "light of your eye", even just the almost staggering style it's written in, with not quite all the lines rhyming, the lyrics are beautiful and match Blossomfall perfectly. The chorus changing each time is a nice touch, especially the last one where she calls Millie out. 💕

I've never been much a fan of Blossomfall in particular, but I do love the trope of a character who's jeleous over their sibling being wounded and then treated so gently when they were wounded and nobody noticed.

So originally when I listened to this song I was initially confused on the motif of "shared eyes" with Blossomfall and Millie being similar because in terms of personality + backstory, they're not very alike. So I've been looping this song to try and decipher what that could mean (and also 'cause it's a banger). Originally I thought maybe it was because they both felt like they don't fit in or possibly that Millie also suffered neglect and is continuing the cycle (though from what I remember she had loving twolegs so I ruled that out), but I think I have an idea of what exactly "shared eyes" means to Blossomfall:
Blossomfall doesnt want to be anything like Millie because shes a bad person, but in turn she realizes shes just like Millie for feeling jealously to Briarlight, paralleled to how Millie feels overwhelming sympathy for her. Blossomfall and millie are not similar, but Blossomfall feels they are because she feels shes just as terrible as Millie. while Millie clings to life as she hopes that Briarlight will live, Blossomfall clings to death as she trains with the dark forest. At the end of the song when she talks how Millie can pretend to be optimistic, she and Blossomfall are as miserable as each other because of their worry of Briarlight. "Shared eyes" could also be how she wishes Millie could see how she's affecting her. If I can recall correctly, Millie felt jealousy for Silverstream, though felt guilty about it because obviously Graystripe is allowed to miss her, and felt like a bad mate because of this, feeling guilt for her envy just like how Blossomfall does.

She knows what she is doing is wrong but she doesn’t pretend it isn’t. And because of that..she hates herself. I have always had a soft spot for blossomfall. Also I don’t know if ur busy or don’t want to but if you’re up to it could you maybe make a song about goosefeather? He’s my favorite character and I have a name suggestion for the song. “Who is real?” Or “wish I didn’t know” about how he sees ghosts’ in camp and how he is burdened with knowing so many prophecy’s

This song, strikes hard. I had a sibling, who had mental health issues, and I felt obligated to care for them, and they left for the hospital many times, and various other issues, and now that I don’t have to take care of them, because they are better with their actions, yet they also pushed me away to avoid hurting me anymore, and I’m grateful that I’m away from the situation, but the urges to help my sibling, are really tough. I saw him through his worst when nobody else listened, and I saw him leave so many times, or try and leave permanently. I need to look into Blossomfall again, she is a very interesting character, and I relate to her story! This song, describes so much. I’m going to be showing it to my therapist.
It’s also so amazing how so many people see different lines, and find so much meaning. A ton of us needed this song, and it’s amazing that you keep on making these songs. They keep on getting more and more gorgeous, meaningful, and professional as each song comes out.

I know this may seem dumb, but this song really resides with me. I look exactly like my mother, and I hate hearing it. I hate having to be her child. I hate being who I am because of her. I have changed since I was little and I've accepted it. She hasn't, and I think she secretly wants that little me back. "How could you be so blind? You close your eyes, but have opened mine, I hate the way you make me hate myself for sharing eyes " really sends chills up my spine. I always have to hold back tears in a good way when I listen to this song.
I have a song idea: "Frozen" About Mosskit and Bluestar.
So the song is based around before Mosskit dies. Inspired off of "Nothing but Ashes", you can hear faint wind in the backround but in the beginning and end, it's loud.
So basically, It's placed when Mosskit says she doesn't want to play anymore. Maybe one lyric could be "No more playing" or something like that.
Also, at some points Bluestar jumps in, Sometimes talking, sometimes singing.

Goodness gosh, there's never something not to appreciate about a Blixemi song, isn't there?
I've been a fan for an incredibly long time yet- 6ish years, maybe? Though I do not listen to her music anymore with the same frequency, of course I have to check out new releases of hers. This one, like all the others, didn't fail to amaze me- I had chills, just as I had when i'd listen to new Blixemi song releases in middle school. Blixemi's lyrics are so absolutely poetic and thoughtful it blows my mind - her lyrics are warrior cats, yes, but they transcend that- she manages to craft raw emotion into something so beautiful and that just. astounds me. like anyone can listen to her music and find some raw part of themself in one of her song lyrics and then hear the absolute beauty she makes out of it. man. blixemi music really kept me going when i was younger

What I think the sharing eyes thing means is, Millie sees herself in Blossomfall right, so maybe it’s related to that like she sees herself in the way Blossom acts and sees thing, and seeing is connected to eyes and in conclusion Millie believes that blossom shares eyes because she sees things the same way Millie did when she was younger, or at least that’s what I got from it. This might be correct or close of not close at all IDK?

I LOVE the parallels with Ivypool, soulmate sh*t right there. The song on it's own is also amazing, beautifully written (gotta love those subtle name drops). I love the older songs so much (def gonna go listen to the whole playlist now) but I must amit I enjoy how the newer stuff can stand apart from Warriors as well as in it. Despite the fantastical setting and some of the references its still able to be applied to real life as I'm sure there are people who can relate to Blossomfall and Millie's relationship in a way. Keep writing amazing songs, I cannot wait to hear the next one whenever that is!

Is it Graystripe or Millie in the pool's reflection? I assumed it was going to be Millie, since Blossomfall and her mother have a strained relationship due to Millie's fawning over Briarlight after her injury, but it looks more like Graystripe? Millie is a typically depicted as a silver tabby with blue eyes, and so it definitely looks much more like Graystripe in the pool, but I don't remember the books talking much about her and her father having a strained relationship, unless I've just forgotten?

This helped me realize how similar Ivypool and Blossomfall are. They both had a sister who got more attention, so they went to the Dark Forest. The only difference just was that Ivypool ended up as the hero. I had never before thought much about Blossomfall, but now I realize she is actually an interesting character. You did a great job with this song and I also really like the work that the editor put to the video and the art there too!

One of the things I love about your songs is that they always inspire me to read up more on the character in question and gain a better understanding of them. It happened with Goldenflower, and now it happened with Blossomfall. This song made me realize how similar Blossomfall is to me, and she went from just another background character to one of my absolute favorites. When you can stir all this emotions and change of heart in a person with a song, you know you have a gift. :)
