What's sad to me about egotism and narcissism in general is that they put so much emphasis on proving their superiority, that they fail to realize that it doesn't actually do anything. Much like a dictator has to flaunt his power, he only shows he's afraid of losing it, meaning he feels the lack of control. If The Riddler was superior, what would it actually accomplish? Batman beats him, he saves people and can continue his own guided path. While the Riddler only has a mirror to greet him at the top. What is it he has to loose if he's not the best? What does recognition give? What does it solve? It's a drugged placebo. It only makes you turn a blind eye to the problem for false relief by tricking yourself, while making you addicted to it.

It all makes sense really. In an audio file Nygma solved a seemingly impossible logic puzzle, then was beaten by his father who claimed he must have cheated. He admitted to the interviewer he did. I think we’re seeing some of his dad in him. He believes that intelligence past a certain point must be impossible and that he can only lose if his opponent cheats, all while hypocritically claiming that all his success is only down to intelligence. This is the big problem for this riddler, immense intelligence held back by insecurity and ego. He could literally apply himself to any field and be very successful and live a happy, well off life and get all the praise he could want. Instead he focuses on proving how smart he is and constantly losing in the process
I love how he visually degraded over time until he was pretty much an obsessed hobo in Arkham Knight. Man could've been a hero, possibly outshining Batman, but the man just absolutely had to beat everyone on his own strange terms.
I actually love saving this riddle for last because I like looking out into the city as I hear the cops busting into Riddler’s hideout. Just something soothing about it. Like a sense of accomplishment knowing Gotham is at peace because of me as Batman. I know it’s corny, but still.
I loved the Batman Arkham games so much and Rocksteady put alot of work in their games and The Riddler was one the reasons the Arkham Games were awesome and fun and it was always satisfying to beat The Riddler and solve his riddles . Wally Wingert is the true Riddler voice .

I just beat this game, first time, on Xbox 360 today. Finished my riddler trophies as well. Not even being planned, my final clue was in his cell. My son and I at first thought it was planned as part of the game. That’s just the way it worked out going back for the few I missed and couldn’t get without the tools. Came upon this video and started laughing. The luck of that is insane.
What's funny is that Wally Wingert voiced both the Riddler AND the cop who arrested him. I'm guessing because the cast budget was so small or he was just available that day. So you could argue that Riddler was just pretending to arrest himself to fool Batman. LOL

It's so satisfying to see or hear Riddler get arrested or when Batman beats him up because he puts you as the player and Batman through so much mental and physical stress. They should've just put him in the electrical chair and be done with it but no Batman can't allow that because if his moral code, don't get me wrong I respect his code, but when you look at criminals like The Joker, Riddler, Scarecrow ect. and some of the heinous crimes they've commited you often wonder why they don't get the death penalty because Gotham would be so much safer without them.

You fight him in both Arkham City and Arkham Knight (Arkham City isn't so much of a fight, but you still take him down) once you complete all the challenges.
