- New HART 20V Oscillating Multi Tool (I CAN'T BELIEVE WALMART SELLS THIS!) In this video we show the #verycoolgang a brand new HART 20V tool that I can't believe WALMART is currently selling right now for a couple for reasons! This oscillating 20V multi tool form HART tools comes in a tool only package but it does come with two blades, one for drywall, one for wood/metals, and a hook & loop sanding attachment with a couple different sand paper grits. Let us know if you can;t believe that WALMART sells this HART oscillating multi too and what your thoughts or experiences are with the new line up of 20V power tools from HART at WALMART!
So I work as a service tech actually. I decided to have a little fun with it regarding the tools I decided to use. In my case, I decided to try out HART tools. So even though they are being called a DIY home use sort of tool, I am putting them to the test professionally. I will say, so far, I have not encountered any issues with the tools I currently,y have and in fact they have all been very capable of getting any job done I have put them up against. As a result, I intend on continuing to acquire additional HART power and hand tools for this experiment. So far, HART has risen to the occasion.
I love my Hart tools they seem to be very reliable
I use HART tools exclusively. I was a KOBALT fan and I still love their 24v MAX line. I had 4 of the KOBALT tools and was building my inventory and had all of them stolen. Every tool I owned and it almost put an end to my business. I had 3 contracts signed, every penny wrapped up in materials and was just there with no way to do the jobs I had lined up . And as fate would have it my 18yo daughter came to visit and bring me my father's day gift.... I told her about the situation and she said Its ok dad. . it will work out... She left and came back with the HART drill and driver set... I have been using them daily and putting them through the ringer... I am impressed with every tool I get... I have 6 pieces now. I will put them up against DeWalt
This has to be a joke.
@@svn5994 I have had the same experience with my Hart tools. I use Dewalt drills and Makita impacts at work and my Hart beats them all day long. Will they last as long? Who knows. But don’t discount the experience of people who use products you might not like.
People are crap when they steal 😡
I'm glad you guys review these tools even though im sure you will probably never use them on the job. But as a DIY person it really helps to see what these tools can do in case i need one and then probably won't be using it for a while
instaBlaster...
I'm an occasional d.i.y carpenter. I bought the hart kit with the drill /impact/ saws-all etc Kit two years ago. They all perform great with a high degree of toughness. I've dropped them and threw them to the floor in a fit and it took multiple hard impacts before the drill finally broke. I smashed the drill end into the floor and it finally broke. I was impressed and bought another. I just ordered the multi tool. The buy the battery separate thing sucks. But overall, a tough tool reasonably priced.
Thank you so much for going through fitment of all the different blades!!!!
The more competitive products out in the market the better. Hopefully it pushes other brands to keep innovating 😁
I was a contractor for 40 years I had all kind of tools power tools you name it but now I'm retired and I just bought h a r t tools and so far so good I didn't have a major job now but for now I'm going to collect Hart tool
I hate getting trapped into ecosystems with tools. Once I bought my ridgid impact driver, I was trapped into their system because of batteries, charger, etc.
But I needed a multitool.
Knowing TTI makes both Ridgid and Hart, I figured I would check out the Hart tool. Here's what I found...
They're the same. The Hart and Ridgid multitool are exactly the same. In fact, using a soldering iron, I can charge my Hart battery in my Ridgid charger. It's an OK tool. Well worth the money.
I own ALL of HART brushless tools and love them all. And I got this multi-colored and it works great
That is so cool that a Fein blade fits a Walmart tool. I am a long Fein tool user and I would say that the battery placement on the Hart design is similar to Fein, Bosch, and Festool. So for a $50.00 tool with a good $25.00 blade LOL !!! NOT BAD !!!!
That heart Oscillating tool seems like the perfect victim against the m18 oscillating tool on TTR!! And it’s pretty funny that it’s own blades don’t really fit 🤣🤣🤣. SMASH THE LIKE BUTTON!!
Great idea TreeHouseCo! Thanks you for all the support and awesome feedback! We appreciate having people like you in the gang!!
Yeah, but use the M12.
The M18 & New M12 Fuel would probably kill the poor thing.
Redd Beard it probably would! 🤣🤣🤣👍
Got it for 50 bucks ......replaced blades and this thing is actually a beast. Used the 4Ah battery and it does seem to perform even better. Wish it was a quick change blade though. I did buy quick change blades for it because you don't have to do a full removal, just loosen it up a little.
Hart is made for Walmart by ryobi with slight changes to the battery and Plastics. Works every bit as good. I know this because I just built a sunroom with their line of tools. For general purposes it's excellent
The same company makes Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Hart. That is why the Milwaukee blade fits so well.
Thanks for looking at their line of tools . Keep em rolling. No plans to get any atm. But nice to see how they perform.
I work at a very nice apartment complex and curtain tools (HVAC) are important to have no matter the price but this multi tool from Hart is a good fit for the projects I do. Love the price. I really appreciate this video.
Makes sense that the Milwaukee blade would fit the Hart tool.....they are both a product of TTI. I haven't used these power tools so I can't speak to the reliability, but I did buy the pro grade stud finder (no model number but the Walmart SKU is576810123.) This thing works AMAZING! Also, Hart currently only offers 20v and 40v batteries.
I'm glad I found this video I was trying to figure out where the allen wrench tool was and now I found it thanks to you guys and I sure love this new product that I have I just got new Hart product for my birthday so with that being said I'm now proud owner of the Hart Family I got lots of new tools and I'm super stoked
I'm a maintenance tech at a high end apartment complex. Always loved dewalt but for the little bon commercial grade fixes we do around here I couldnt afford a full set of dewalt tools.i bought their 20v drill and this oscillating saw in the video and so far so good. I use them everyday Hart seems to be a great choice for that.
Wow. That's an awesome tool for the price. Looks pretty cool too with the all white.
I have Ridgid and Metabo HPT plus Ryobi and Hart both of which I kind of got into by accident, Hart is no where near Ridgid or Metabo HPT in quality but it is competitive with the brushed Ryobi in quality, it gets the job done for most DIY things at a price only Bauer can compete with. They are made by TTI which makes Ryobi, Ridgid and Milwaukee so they are not going to make junk. I hear they are coming out with a brushless lineup so that will put them more on par with Ryobi plus they are coming out with a lot of odd cool battery operated things like a 5 gallon battery powered camp shower/sprayer, similar to Ryobi and Makita that have all the odd "tool" options in the lineup.
I have a few of the Hart tools. I like them but, I just use them for small projects and things around the property. To answer your question, Hart does offer a 40v line of lawn and garden equipment.
Not planning on buying this, but good to see what these are capable of. It could be useful for some people.
What got me into Hart tools is you can always find an open box 50 percent off in the clearance section lol
I just bought this tool for $18. Your point is what got me into the hart lineup!!! 😂
Just got a Jig saw, reciprocating saw, 6" buffer/polisher, inflator, usb port, 2 4ah batteries w charger for 150$ Needed a Jigsaw and the Kobalt 24v one would have been $130 tool only.
@@joeadrianmendoza I just got one for $13.50 and a drill for $17.25...it came with a 1.5Ah battery. I have found so many deals using the Walmart app.
@@jackedburton7639 wooooww where can I find? Please help thanks in advance
Hey Vin. If I wasn't locked to another platform I might try Hart. They have a great selection.
Thanks for the feedback Larry!
I bought about 1000 dollars worth of tools and chargers and batteries and I'm very happy with all of it .....
I picked this up yesterday for sanding rails on furniture but, I’m sure at some point, I’ll be using the oscillation for small cuts. This review was stellar! You got a subscribe from me. Thanks! 👍🏻
Walmart sells another brand of cheap tools called Hyper tough. I picked up their corded oscillating tool, full price for $18! Did the job I needed and can now be used.for sanding and paint scrapping.
Gonna call that thing the beaver tail haha . Appreciate the wide array of content! Not just the heavy hitter brands love it best content and channel out there
Would like to see more reviews on non pro brands such as black & decker. Some of their 20 volt tool are not that bad.
I never heard of Hart before but it seems like it's not a bad tool for a DIYer
Great Video! To make this even, and I have watched others compare these to Ryobi. I think that's the only fair comparison. I have people ask me all the time about cordless tools as a DIYer. I usually give them three choices. Ryobi, Hercules, and Bauer. These seem to be "pretty" good. The tool less blade change is big for me. Be interesting to see how this brand evolves in the next year. Great for a homeowner!
Thank you for the review I just recently purchased the four piece combo kit and I was stuck for a minute trying to decide wich route I should go because I work part time installing offices and don't really want to fork out to much money because it's not my full time time gig so I went with hart being that I can also use these tools at home and really like that I can interchange the batteries and there's a decent line up of various tools if I was full time I would have probably forked out the money and went with dewalt but since I'm for two hundred dollars you can't go wrong with the drill impact drill saw zaw and flash light Plus I'm planning to get the skill saw and the air compressor that all run on the same battery I'm a home owner type and really ain't using my tools daily so that works for me
Interesting! Still won't buy anything Hart, but good to see some Hart tools in action. 👍
I want someone to look at me like Vince looks at tools
Hart tools will give Home Depot, Harbor Freight and off brand Amazon tools some competition. TTI is playing everyone on this move.
Im sure that hart oscillating tool is not bad but i think ryobi's multi tool is best i mean cant beat that its compatible with the ridgid multi tool heads its a plus so ill be sticking with ryobi's multi tool
Yo Vince I’m new to the channel I have found your channel very useful from the tool reviews to the deals deals deals! Thanks
Seems to me like the Hart brand of tools is meant for the new dads out there thinking they’re gonna get some projects done in between changing diapers.
The real benefit is being able to slowly grow your tool collection one tool here and there by throwing it in the cart so your wife doesn’t notice!!
Too bad I’m balls deep in the Hitachi/Metabo HPT platform... they’re pricey, but their lifetime warranty seems awesome (haven’t had to send any tool in yet).
Honestly though I would have zero issue getting Hart or Bauer or Ryobi tools if I weren’t obsessed with gear and/or had a tighter budget.
I don’t use my power tools to make a living, so I’d be fine with a budget brand, functionally. But I’m an electrical engineer, so awesome power tools put a smile on my face (except for when I forget to turn the power setting down on my triple hammer and I shear the head off a screw)...
Sorry for the rant, just reflecting on my life choices.
Thanks for the video!
I sence a TTR coming up
Don’t have hart tools and don’t plan to buy one but, they are good tools for DIYers that don’t do projects often. However, I sprung for the Milwaukee because I want the best tools for my woodworking hobby and all the hobbyist woodworking UA-camrs have Dewalt and wanted to be different.
40 volts for their OPE line.
Like Vince has said if you go with a good diy tool get higher quality blades bits like DeWalt Milwaukee.. bosch ..Fein Diablo
I will buy certain Hart tools on the cheap. Some of the Hart components work on the Ryobi.
I do love these reviews of the different equipment.
If I'm not mistaking tti makes heart which is the same company as milwaukkee
Yes, along with Ridgid & Ryobi. Just to name a few!
I just need something to cut though 1/4 “ plywood around electrical outlet
Thx for the review!
Good video Vince nice demonstrations @Vcgconstruction
I work at walmart and my first impression was to expensive and cheap felling. Just go kobalt from lowes
Yea the click of the trigger sounds cheap to me.
Are they really that comparable in price?
@@active4delta got mine for free in a battery promo. Look for a deal like this at your Lowe's
I like the fact that it has on tool storage. Unlike my ryobi one.
Just picked one up for $35 open box... but I seriously thinking of returning it due to it not having a tool-less blade change. In the past I've really benefited from being able to quickly change the positions of my multitool blades. But maybe I'll keep it as a back up and just keep my most used blade in it.
Is there any benefit to an allen key versus a quick change?
My problem with lines like Hart is there’s not much room to grow. You start at the bottom of the home gamer barrel, which is fine...but if you want to upgrade you now have to switch battery systems to another brand. Whereas if you got into something like Makita or Dewalt they have their cheaper or smaller line of tools, but when you’re ready or for some specific need, you can always get the high end/high power tool while staying in the same battery lineup.
Ryobi makes pretty solid brushless tools that are one step above hart. Hart is a low end tool brand from TTI and Ryobi is a mid end from the same company.
@@davidperry4013 yeah, Ryobi is fine for most things, and they have a large platform. Plus they're reliable. My problem is just knowing that you'll never get the best, or top of the line from them, cause otherwise they'll make their other brands look bad.
Vince, has Milwaukee fixed the gen 3 impact collet yet, if not any updates on it?
What would be the best blade to use for the tool?... Besides what comes with it
It looks good, I would pair it with a starlock blade and if you are not a contractor and use the tool once or twice a year for the price I think I would buy it
great vid, gonna be trying out the harts
Yeah in safety glasses but aren’t the ones you have on be sunglasses? Can you still see inside with them on?
I’m looking for where in my Walmart this particular tool is.
Wonder if I can find this in the store without going on line?
Hey Vince not on the Hart too you just reviewed but do you still like the Skil 12V oscillating tool. I am looking to buy soon. Thanks
I have the 12volt skil line and the skill oscillating tool is very strong and has great performance!
I put a 4amphr on my Hart multitool
It's crazy no one had the guts to tell him the play doesn't mean anything and it's such a trivial thing to focus on. Once the blade is clamped is matters not. I have a very old fein that has no indexing and once I clamp the blades they don't move. There are so many other things to gripe on with this tool the way the blades fit on The mandrell is silly. Clamp the blade down and there won't be any movement there you go.
I just picked this up for $13 at Walmart.
Hey vince!
Here is a question for you!
Im a 30 year old, not having any power tools yet! I want to start a nice collection. But what is best? Milwaukee, Bosch Blue, Makita, DeWalt?
Not having invested in a certain battery type gives me options.
I was looking at Makita, for all purposes, 18V family for garden, Home inprovement and gadgets it was quite convincing. Also my uncle swears by Makita. So my mind is clouded.
Do you say, sure Makita, or better to go for.....
I dont mind mixing brands, having gas operated gardening tools instead of 18v Makita.
What to do, I want to spend money ONCE! Better to buy best first instead of cheaping out. I need a toolset for life!
I have all makita and they have served me well. drill, impact driver, circular saw, mitre saw, multi tool, corded hammer drill, planer, corded grinder, cordless grinder, 9 inch grinder, metal drop saw, even have the cordless line trimmer that goes great.
The looseness must be why it lists an adaptor available for the tool.
They keep coming up with new names so you don’t notice that it’s still just Stanley Black & Decker. Yell at it Vince! That might make it do better...
Actually it's TTI tools, not Stanley B&D.
Seems like Hart ain’t that bad for diy projects but they’ll always get hate from them contractor guys I’m no contractor so this is a good deal imo those big brand names are more for those construction guys that beat their tools on a Daily basis not here 😊
Hart also has a 20 volt grease gun
Get him Ice get him!!
Hey Vince about the triggers! Wanted to pick your brain on this subject more generally for other tool types. Because some tools need a good trigger nore than others. Here in the UK LittleMito had a video up (cannot find it now). But in that video he clearly demonstrated how you get a better range of control on the Milwaulkie impact trigger mechanism. As compared to a recent Makita impact, which had a less controllable trigger. Makita was more stiff, on/off with fewer gradations in between. Well a different youtuber (toolsnstuff) to apart a similar Makita impact. And found out that Makita are using the well known switch manufacturer OMRON for switch behind their trigger mechanism. However my question, other than will Makita be competitive and improve the action. Is does this same difference and advantage that Milwaulkee has also translate similarly in to their 18v drill drivers? Because it's nice to have that extra level of manual control. I find this is especially true when drilling into metal. Which requires a higher torque at a lower rotational speed. This is also why I often am asking about OneKey presets system. Because it allows the user to customize these parameters also. I also want to know what trigger Milwaulkee use in their tools. Because it would be nice to understand how Milwaulkee achieves a smoother trigger. And if that also carries over to any other tool brands.
I have my Fein, thank you. Great review!
What was the starlight brand you mentioned? The one with the tightest fit? I can’t seem to find it.
If you guys review hart you should review Black and Decker
can you link us to the Star Blades
Thanx for more great info... think I will stick to Hilti... cheers
Vince, my milwaukee m18 brushless compact drill was heating up very quickly just with some holes in wood. Has this happened to you?
When drilling make sure your hand is not covering the air vents on the back of the drill. If your pushing on the drill and covering the vents it will cause the drill to heat up. The drill also has a heat sensor that will shut it off when it gets to hot
Hey @VCGconstruction would you test the Ryobi table saw? The one that's like around $270 or so? Trying to avoid spending $600 on the DeWalt. I hear Rigid also makes a saw around that price range. Love the vids and thanks either way.
First time I’ve heard someone wanting more trigger pull
I like hart a lot tbh
Do this TTR on Friday
No variable trigger that sux i couldn't stand that. I would say TTI is looking to make a brand that comes in below Ryobi but I think they are satisfied with Ryobi being their DIY brand of tools and what they really want is to make something that isn't exclusive to Home Depot and make something they could get into Walmart stores cuz it could turn out to be a huge sales segment for them.
Mine clicks going from 0 to 1 and the other number but not from 1 to 0
The HEART Multi Tool sure doesn't look like a competitor to RIDGID's product, lacking a decent blade change system or multi heads or an LSA Agreement. This looks like a homeowner's Black & Decker runner up. It was only a matter of time before the Oscillation Multi Tool would be designed for the homeowner and hobbyist because it's is a very versatile tool and it's relatively safe in the hands of a novice.
I'll keep pointing out the emblem is a hammer head sticking a nail
So can I expect Milwaukee to cut this in half Friday?
🤣🤣
I have a bunch of hart tools and honestly they deficate all over ryobi. I wouldn't say they blast bukaki on Milwaukee but they are almost as good as Milwaukee and DeWalt and Makita etc.. not quite as good but when you take into account their solid performance and the fact that they cost oftentimes a third of the competition I think all in all their better value I think heart will be defecating and blasting bukaki on the chins of its competitors for many years to come
What about their miter saw? Is it worth getting
Hey Vince, you guys should pick up the 20V tools from Oreillys. Kick the crap out of them and see if they even meet Walmart quality.
Until Walmart fixes the pricing, right now the Hart line is just made for the uneducated consumer.
I have the hart multi tool it will get the job done and I like it very much however I will be buying a more expensive tool as I don’t think it’s very powerful
I think hart is inbetween Bauer and Ryobi
5:17 what blade is that?
Wow. Hart has Palm Sander?
You know,
Someone should develop Grey, Army Green or Brown Tools.
I dont like to see Dirt on my Red tools, lol.
I like to see them shine but dont like to clean them,
They're TOOLS!
LMAO!
GO Vince!
I bet those Hyper Tough Blades fit.
They are actually great for the $$$.
@Big Crunch 🤣
I know.
Tools should stand out to not get lost but they should have some contrasting over moulding to stick out
Man i watched your review on Hartz bits and bought some and I was really dissapointed. Didn't have the same results.
40 volt yard tools
Run it against the ridgid Vince
I've got all hart tools, with warranties cause I'm cheap
Some tools are just better with the electrical cord, short job? ok, long?
Home owner tool. Why not.
Is there a way to cut straight with a guide? I needed to cut just a small piece of wood to open up for a window I installed in my garage and wow I cut so crooked 😂
I'm fairly new to these oscillating tools (recently picked up the DCS356 because I needed it for a job) but I had really good results by marking a pencil line, scoring it with the blade, maybe a 1/16" deep, then going deeper, keeping it square is a little more challenging, but if it's paintable it's caulkable ;)
Oh, I just remembered, in the user manual there was something about a guide, but I don't recall what it was for exactly and I'm not sure where my manual is right now.
Exactly. Did you notice how, in the video, he put a corner of the blade in and then followed the line.
The idea is to just go in deep enough to be able to use as a guide as you go deeper. A liitle deepness at a time and go all the way across the cut a couple of times. This also stops the blade from getting hot. As apposed to plunging all the way in.
Easier to show than to explain I guess...
Ray Smetzer I think I know what you mean
dscrive thnx very cool guy 😁 I really appreciate the idea. Next time I have to use it.
