This device is WORTH IT WEIGHT IN GOLD! I took my new baby out after the install and I never had to touch that OFF button the entire time! RECOMMEND!!!
If the engine stops at a light and I want it running, I just lift the brake foot a bit and it starts and stays running. You won't let the vehicle move, you do not have to lift your foot that far and you can lower your foot that small amount that triggered the switch. Sometimes I appreciate the auto stop in long waits in traffic. Liked the video. Always nice to learn about new things out there. Not sure if it's just the regular Bronco but Ford does have a jumper and instructions to bypass that...
Thanks for your video! I bought this device and the install was tricky, but after I installed it my FordPass features stopped working. I removed it, and the features started working.
Is auto hold and auto stop the same thing? One thing I know is the one that you lift the brake pedal once you brake and it maintains in stop without pressing the pedal and Im fine with that. The other thing is the one like it shuts down the car (like in a rest mode) do you know how does that work? Or if I can cancel that? Or is that the same??
Auto start/stop isn’t the same as the hold. The hold does exactly that. The auto stop - stops the engine. We hate the auto stop n got the auto stop eliminator n it’s easy to install on that Bronco model. The big Bronco is a bit of a pain.
Stupid question. When you push the button to turn the bronco off does the radio stay on until you open the door? I can’t find that answer anywhere. Thanks!
Yes. When you open the door after you turn off the car it will turn off. I believe it has a timer too but not sure how long it is. Never in it long enough to find out.
Yes. Most if not all the newer Fords (2012 and up) actually do this. Also other auto makers do this as well - example - my Fiat 500C does the same thing. It's normal.
@@1Five1Garage I have but its been a while. I think its a few minutes. I'll revisit this again when I remember to sit in my bronco long enough and time it. :D Love little mini experiments like these.
Not a stop/start question, but something similar, do you know if there's anything out there that also plugs in that would shut off the automatic fresh air intake on the hvac system? When I turn on recirc in the winter it never stays on & will switch over to fresh air intake within minutes, regardless of the humidity level inside the cabin. Find this HIGHLY annoying especially driving behind a diesel truck. If you know of anything it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
The Auto Stop function is annoying. I got stuck in heavy traffic on I-70 near the St. Louis, Lambert Field and every few feet of movement I had to stop. Of course, it was hot, and the engine quit every time I tapped the brakes. At some point I simply hit the @A button to turn it off and the air conditioning and the car's engine kept running and it was a lot less annoying. Now I make it a habit to turn the @A button "off" and fasten the seatbelt before moving the gear selector. 🤠
We installed that n we never have to touch it again. And we honestly think the start stop thing the factory put on these cars is just ridiculous. I see no benefit.
@@mpeugeot LMAO - the best thing with this device - it truly is a plug n play deal. It doesn't require any reprogramming and its easy to convert it back to stock. Definitely worth it.
My pug has wires going to the back of the plug to a female plug Did you have a female and male pug where you could plug-in because I don’t have it thank you
The connection under the dash actually has a plug that you can unhook from the back side. when unplugged it will have a female connection on the wire side and a male connection on the side still mounted to the underside of the dash.
What? why taking all the fun to push buttons like a F-16 before taking off??.... I really hate that feature, I mean, if it only the A/C can keep running I really wouldn't mind, but with the heat in Texas and having that short period of time with the humidity. Heck no! Good for those who hate little demon button.

yes it is. Will have to get them for the Broncos.
Did the FordPass features stop working after you installed it?
I would like to know as well I just ordered a device and hoping my pass doesn’t mess up

I really wish Ford and other manufacturers would just put it in the software settings, along with driver profiles that save individual configurations.
It's probably in some government regulation for the set up.
You could also disconnect the start/stop from the battery Terminal for zero cost, takes less than 5 mins.
Battery light on dash stays on

That I don't know about. However, if we hear something, I'm sure we will do a video on it.
I totally agree: the seemingly random disabling of the HVAC’s Recirc mode is very frustrating.

Will installing this void any warranties?
No, plus you can always remove it if you have to. It will revert right back to stock just by removing it. easy to install. no tools needed.

Thank you!

That's the same as Florida. 98 degrees and 90% humidity... never liked it.
Don't save a thing. The starter being the first to go. Wait to you see how much that's not going to save you. Than the charging system.
I never had to touch the auto start/stop button since installing it. N I never had 1 issue w my vehicle.
Better check your warranty before doing that
It won’t void it.
