    Very helpful. Especially that tip to run it, check the level and fill again.

    Thanks this was a great video. Very informative and well explained. Nice that you didn’t have background music, this way you were easily heard. Well explained with step by step instructions and reasoning and thorough. This really helped. Your bike looks great btw, clean and well kept. Safe riding, cheers.

    Cool I changed the oil filter to a HF204RC, it's got a socket on the end so it's easy to remove the next time.

    Thanks for the video! The oil seems to have gotten significantly darker after you ran the engine the first time, didn't it? Probably got mixed up with some leftover residue from the old oil. I guess looking at the oil color in the little display is not that good of an indicator of its age (8:11 vs 10:18 for comparison).

    • @Sqeptick
      @Sqeptick  3 роки тому

      If may have darkened a little bit, but I suspect that was my poor lighting that made it appear so different. I still think shining a flashlight into the window can help you determine if the oil has gotten really dirty.

    Manual doesn’t say “side stand” or “center stand” to check oil level. Came here to be sure.

    • @Sqeptick
      @Sqeptick  2 роки тому

      I'd put it on the center stand for checking the oil level. I don't have the manual in front of me, but I know my last bike specified tipping the bike up off its side stand in order to view the oil window while it was level.

    Is it necessary to change the seal washer?

    • @Sqeptick
      @Sqeptick  2 роки тому +1

      It's a good idea, but I'm not sure it'll leak every time if you don't. Changing that washer is just extra protection against leakage.

    Nice hey where did you get the storage box on your bike

    • @Sqeptick
      @Sqeptick  4 роки тому +1

      I believe it's a Givi E300 Monolock top case. Probably got it from RevZilla. Great case because it's not too big, but still holds my full face helmet.

    Can you not just untighten it with your hand? Seems like kind of inconvenience to get an entirely separate wrench for one thing.

    • @Sqeptick
      @Sqeptick  3 роки тому

      No, at least in my experience the filter can't be removed with your hand... unless maybe it wasn't tightened enough when it was installed.

    • @t77snapshot
      @t77snapshot 10 місяців тому

      Aftermarket filters like K&N have a built-in nut at the end of the filter so you can use a regular socket wrench

    Every 8k miles..no thanks. I'm doing all my vechiles every 2k. Have a honda element at 220k and runs like a champ. I don't trust their 'recommended" mileage time frame.
