I was with someone for 10 years (I'm currently 28) and was married 5 of those 10 years. I always wanted to enlist, but it was always an issue. Long story short, I'm now single, going active & head to MEPS next week. Moral of the story: time spent with your significant other means nothing. When it comes to enlisting, you tend to see someones true colors you never thought you would see. Don't make life decisions based around your feelings for someone. They aren't a guarantee in your life. The only thing guaranteed in your life, is yourself.
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your stories. My fiancé and I are always talking every day we keep our relationship strong. We miss each other but I know that he has an important job and I understand that. I’m so proud of him.
I think it's great that you guys show the different aspects of army life from both men & womens points of view- the good and the bad. Everybody has different stories to tell & i think your insight will help others who are going through or will go tbrough the same situation. Its rough getting cheated on & maybe this video will show them they're not alone. Keep up the good work!

If you're a single guy entering the military, it's usually wiser to work on bettering yourself instead of wasting your time on a five who thinks she's a ten because of the out of whack guy to girl ratio.

Can you do a video of what it’s like for a soldier during deployment it might help us civilians to understand better what you guys go through on a daily basis. Thanks
If you aren't dating/married to the love of your life and you both know that.. break up with them I say this with experience and love you will be far better off even if they dont cheat on you its going to be on your mind 24/7 don't let that be you.
It's not being desperate, it's called being human and having hormones. It happens, I don't recommend going into the army in a relationship. Communication goes so far , long distance definitely plays a huge role in most relationships
My fiancée is back in the US he’s working in the navy and I am here in Middle East. It’s really hard that we haven’t talk much and I don’t hear from him often but I do trust him and I love him so much. It’s breaking my heart we can’t be together for now but I know it’s worth it in the end. It’s hard I admit that especially if he just seen my messages and no response at all. I get crazy but I can’t do anything but to wait till he call me or message me. I’m trying my best everyday.

And honestly it just depends on your jobs, some jobs have different basic trainings so you all could go to different states and might not be able to go to each others graduation, but once you all go to your first unit you could file for “dual military” which allows you to pretty much get stationed wherever your spouse is!
I live in Spain. I've been long distance with my fiancée for 2 years, now he's in BMT. Soon will go to AIT. We've survived not seeing each other because of COVID-19. Do you guys think that after having experienced the difficulties of the distance the chances of him cheating are low? I trust him and we talked about it. But everyone is talking about how people are stressed and horny and it's inevitable.
My bf and I are coming up on 7 months together were from the same hometown and we have been long distance pretty much the entire relationship we have a healthy connection hes pretty much my bestfriend and I'm his hes getting deployed for 9 months and in the middle of it I'll be in bootcamp I agree with braughton that it takes a level of commitment and trust from each other to make it work and I love that Spain put in her advice because it's hard finding advice from females going into the military. I am scared of the time we will be apart but if I've managed to make it 7 months I dont see why I couldn't do 9 also kind of helps that now I'll fully understand what my boyfriend has been through and hell understand what I'm going through like a deeper level of understanding. My soldier is deployed. We have been together for 4 years . It is hard but we are both doing good. I know he is super busy with work, and the main goal is to have the woman try to stay busy herself. I keep busy by helping family or friends out. I had or have family in all 5 branches and the told me that you have to stay busy. I dated military before I got married, but that marriage fell apart cause my ex husband was cheating on me. Married to a civilian. So even civilians can cheat as well. It hurts. But I am happy in my new relationship and he treats me right how a woman should be treated.
