I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and they are super informative even though I’m thinking about the national guard we all still go through basic transporting the physical and ait
Just graduated basic training yesterday and I’m on the way to AIT!!
Chess be at the right place in the right uniform at the right time. Literally just do what they say and you’ll be gucci
Chess and don’t spend all your money during gold phase bc then you’ll be broke when it’s time to go to your unit. I’m speaking from experience lmao
I start basic training in February at Fort Jackson ,I’m pretty anxious to get there and get it over it but I’m still preparing myself mentally being that I have a wife and kids that I’m leaving behind but I know it’s worth it ,for AIT I’m going to Fort Lee , my mos is 92f ,I’m excited and can’t wait ,ps your video was very informative and helpful I appreciate it 🙏🏾

I stumbled across your videos working a 16 hour overnight shift at the hospital. (Shipping to basic on 10/22/18) Now I’m hooked. Articulate and detailed. Maybe some more female based content too? Already watched the one with Caitlin May♥️
Remy Herrera Thank You so much! And of course I can try and incorporate more female content!
AIT in mid May as long as Im on schedule, 91B vehicle mechanic. I picked this MOS because I wanna work on cars when i come home so i wouldnt be spending a lot having someone else work on my car for me. Ive always loved cars since I was a toddler and my dad has extensive history with cars as well. In a way I want to learn and be somewhat like him in that perspective. Im really excited!!

Dustin Long I’ll be at ft lee in October lol 91b
My husband graduates next week at Ft. Leonard Wood and the very next day he told me he flys out to Mississippi for AIT. It’s such a different perspective being I was an army brat and I use to say I would never marry someone who would join the army...well he joined the Army National Guard...shouldn’t be so bad. lol I’m kind of hoping he’ll go active now so I can experience traveling the world again. But this time as an adult. I def didn’t care as a child that I got to live in Europe.
Basic is at Fort Jackson and AIT at Fort Gordon. My MOS is 25S but there aren't many videos on it.
Im going to basic training January your videos help me a lot through the recruiting process and preparations thank you so much
Hey bro can I bring food to the room during Ait? Also how can I sneak in food during basic?? Lol I'm fit but at the same time i need the food to fuel my muscles. I'm doing 700 pushups with 20 dips on each set so 700 pushups + 200 dips. Rucking 65 lb for 7.2 miles ,running 7.2 miles, biking 30 miles on average. Pullups 10 sets of average 12-13 reps with 20 pound vest. Will I loose my initial training due to the lack of food during basic???
@@veomax1937 depends we’re you going for AIT also the rules and regulations change when new leadership when I started AIT at fort lee I was able to have food in limited amounts when I left the rules did not allow food anymore

Was it hard to get that as a job? I heard anything medical was super hard to get
@@anangelsstar it was pretty simple for me, I scored a 96 on my asvab and my recruiter said pick a job lol. I picked 68k after a couple days of thinking on it. He said it's possible I wouldnt get it but after he put it in he said they would let me do it. So I guess you just have to keep your fingers crossed and score well on your asvab

Hi Ben our son is graduating the 11th and is heading to Fort Eustis.! We are driving him. What kinda living quarters do the have, bays or rooms? Thanks
Not exactly sure, I’ve never been there.
So my one question is (and I’m sure I know the answer) are there any cell phones allowed? I ship out to basic on Jan 14 and my MOS is 12N
Nvm I just got to the part abt phones lol
14G
Basic: Sill Ait: Sill
Are you allowed to go to a gym or have access to weight equipment? And am I allowed to have hand grippers in the barracks?
Dylan Cooper yes but you would really have to find the time for it since you’ll be very busy!
Rookie question, but I don’t ship off to basic until January and everything I’m reading is telling me to pack light, only bring one set of civilian clothes, not to bring any valuable electronics besides my cell phone, so how when you get to AIT do you have more sets of civilian clothes, or things like a TV or a laptop?
Bryce Colvert you have them mailed over. Or you just buy more.
I'm an OSUT. Fort Sill for BCT and for my AIT. I'm a 14T.
Lol Be Prepared for Red phase the whole time
What happens when you fail the ASVAB the 4th time
Does OSUT have the same freedom? Like having your own room and keeping your phone??
Not really, it’s mostly just like basic.
Hey I have a question, I skateboard and I know I can’t do that in basic training and am not planning to but the AIT for my mos is 6 months can I skateboard while in AIT?
If you have free time yeah
Ben Allen Ok thank you for responding so quickly.
Got basic at fort Jackson and Got fort lee for 92G🙏
Currently going to osut at fort benning 11x ,after basic do we transfer to new rooms or stay in the barracks for the whole 22 weeks ?
Same ones i think
Oh ok I wasn’t sure on which ones we stay in
Going to ft sam as 68w. At what point would my husband be able to stop by and visit for a bit? I know he would have no problem getting on post because he’s army national guard as well
ZheeYoYo whenever they give you a weekend pass.
Fort Sam Huston for 68W
How hard are the written tests in AIT I want to join the army but I’ve always been bad at written tests and stuff like that
Just depends on the job
Just depends on the job
Hey Ben, do you have any insight on whether or not soldiers are authorized to wear cellular Apple watches at 68W AIT? Wanted to know before I went out and bought one.
Also, are there weekend passes at AIT? Was curious to see if I’d be able to attend a wedding.
Thanks!
Branson Dewese you can definitely have an apple watch, I did! And as for weekend passes not really because you have to be in formation at a certain time everyday at the end of the day on the weekends.
Ben Allen thanks so much man, do you have any knowledge on the kind of backpack I’m able to bring with me?
Branson Dewese all black or all tan would be the best!
What about food can I eat before bed??? I'm fit but food is what fuels the muscles how can I stay in top shape when the food is not much? Can I bring food to the room?? Shipping next week!combat engineer!
are you roomed with a battle buddy with the same MOS???
Yes
Do you have to be a certain rank to deploy?
No
I have OSUT @ Fort Benning should be fun !
How was it
Fort Benning OSUT July 8th
Do you know if army aviation has decent promotion rates?
Not sure exactly!
My son is in AIT and his bday is in a couple days, what can I ship him? What not to ship? And is it normal not to hear from him since January 25th?
Angela Cunningham he’s probably just busy, and just send him like normal birthday stuff!
Yes that’s normal and just send regular birthday gifts.
Thanks a bunch bud!!
Going to fort Sam Houston in 10 hours for 68P!!!!
Best of Luck! 🎉
Im currently working as a rescue EMT as a civilian and working with a recruiter to get into the army as a 68w. I was wondering where you're AIT was, how long it was, and if you have any insight for what to ask for on my contract before signing at meps. Id like to work in third world countries and with combat/infantry units and hopefully work with rangers and get my airborne so what questions should i be asking my recruiter? Thanks
Jordan Parton so AIT for 68w is at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio! It was 18 weeks long, and as for going to 3rd world countries and such it all depends on where you’re stationed and if you even get attached for the infantry, you can try putting a base that has a lot of infantry companies on your wish list but if the Army needs you somewhere else then they will send you there. As for what to ask your recruiter as him about bases and which deploy the most, and ask to see if they have the OPTION 40 available, that will allow you to go to airborne school once you finish AIT!
okay so ask for option 40 and ask for the top deploying bases. Whats about RASP school. Are there 68W Rangers? If so is that something i would need on my contract before leaving meps. Since im already an emt i have been told that i can skip the EMT portion of AIT and go straight into the "whiskey" phase is that true or do you know of anyone that has done so?
Also do you know a lot of medics that get stuck doing admin work in like Nebraska because that's where they had room for their job? if so is that common because i'm joining the military to get tactical medical experience for future EMS jobs and i would be really bummed out if i got stuck behind a desk for the next 2-4 years and not utilizing my skills
Jordan Parton that is exactly true a lot of people were able to jump right in to whiskey phase, and a yes there are 68w rangers, i want to be able to give you more information about it but I’m not really versed on it, but the recruiters will be able to help you, ask them about rasp i know you can probably get it in your contract because my buddy did!
Jordan Parton I’m not gunna lie to you man, I don’t know anything about Nebraska, but sometimes as a medic you will get stuck doing paperwork, it all just depends, but if you work hard and chase after those schools you have a better chance of actually doing the cool combat medic stuff! I personally have had to do both admin and field work it’s just a part of the job and you’ll be doing whatever the Army needs you to do regardless of your job.
Does this apply to the army reserves too ? Or does it work?
Jua Nelo yes, everyone goes through basic and AIT the same.
12B Combat Engineer how long is AIT from 19 of July
Are we still quarantine the first 2 weeks split up

hi my warrior brother, I am proud army veteran. I was in army active duty in the late 90s. I was chemical operations specialist. I decontaminated chemical weapons. the weapos mad me horribly diabetic n i'm highly suffering because of it. wish the career counselor at meps let me tell him that I would love to have been a religious programs specialist/chaplain assistant. I was physically n emotionally abused constantly at ft.hood. the veterans affairs is taking good care of me. I wish I was chaplain assistant to help the chaplains, gain experience, because I also wanted to go to university n rejoin military as a chaplain. it would have been interesting, because in that example, I having been previously enlisted, would have been authorized, maybe, to wear my rifle n grenade bars on my chaplain uniform, though I would not be bearing any firearms. oh great regrets I have in life. guess I shall pursue a civilian Christian ministry if Christ helps me through seminary.
