Mine was also Fort Carson, CO. (2003-2014) Yes my only duty station for 11 yrs…luckily I was ETS’in right about 4ID was turning it into toxic environment it became.
Hey Ben! Your videos are super informative and I love watching them. I’m heading out to BCT @FT Leonardwood in July then AIT (68W) ☺️ What are the chances of having an overseas 1st duty station? I will be going in as an E3 and hopefully finish AIT as a specialist. I know things have changed with Coronavirus. Anything you can comment on? Hope all is well and you’re not bored out of your mind yet.
I’m from the valley too. 11bang bang here at Carson. Hate it very much and thinking of going guard CID. How’s the transition from active to reserve. Like you waited a few months then joined reserves. How is it straight off the bat reserve/guard though?
Yo bro I have a question, so when you get deployed to your duty station and say you have your days off. Are they “sergeants and commanders” allowed to call you in for work on your off days?
I’m thinking about joining the army but need to lose 40 pounds I’m 4’10 185pounds. But need to be 141 to join. My wish list would be Colorado, texas, or Kansas
@@victoriacastro4519 it absolutely sucked. Combat got canceled, no cadences. We ate MREs all day sometimes Hot As. Some people had to stay in basic for 6 to 8 weeks after graduation before going to AIT. So it's a mess right now. Most days we would just be in our bays doing nothing. The Forge didnt change what's so ever though. Physically easier but mentally tougher
@@jamescooper4108 I'm in Ft Lee right now. Basic isnt that bad honestly just stay mentally tough. But with the corona thing you might have to wait a while. Basic with corona got mentally harder but physically easier if that makes sense
Hello your video was very informative thank you so much I do I have one question though. My husband is active duty with everything going on right now will he still leave the day of his graduation from ACT to his FDS ? Or does it depend ?
@@TheBenAllen. fair enough and thanks for the reply but is there anything about active duty specifically that made you feel like "man I cant wait till my contracts up" or where you just like ready to move on
@@TheBenAllen. I'm going to talk to a recruiter in a week or 2 I've been getting in shape lately I'm just trying to get a full idea of what I'm getting into signing that contract is a big commitment

It’s 50/50 for going overseas or not. And you’ll have to be in the Army for 2 years before you can make SPC
@@TheBenAllen. 18 months
Wait so how do you get all of your stuff to your first unit if you don’t go home first
Camp Stanley ROK 83-84. Ft. Lewis WA. 84-86.

What if you don’t get a sponsor ? And are still expected to arrive to your first duty station? Where should I first go to receive help?
Great vid!!! Do you have any info on 15T?
Generally the first duties of 15Ts are repairing blackhawks stuff and then can become on a crew chief, taking rides in the birds
After osut and jump school im hoping I get Italy because i'll get to travel europe or Fort Bragg because i'll travel the east coast a little.
I started a military channel as well I love your content

Yes he will
Ben Allen thank you ☺️
Fort Carson💪🏽
Good one. Don’t forget the new girl phase too. 😀
How is fort benning
Can Osut get a short break before going to First station
Possibly
On your off days do you still have to do PT and check in?
No
If you marry do you go to duty station first before you move your belongings and family down there ?
Usually
Would love to get stationed in Hawaii .
Why would you leave if you only lasted 2 months in civilian world why not stay active duty and gain rank
James Cooper because active was fun but not worth it to me, and I joined the Reserves mostly for the bonus and content for the channel.
