  • Cool pedal. At least a fun one. For those folks who play heavier stuff & use like a Drop C,,,, Not sure this would work that well. It would lack that flubbery feel of being tuned down I would think. On the other hand if you only need the tune down for one or two songs a night, you might get away with it.

    Nice. I have an electro harmonix Pitch Fork pedal. It's goes down or up. My biggest complaint is that it's noisy unless using its own power supply. No biggie. Rock on GV!!👍

      Hey, Mike. I have the Pitchfork too. & yep same here. It did a nice job but this was even easier but only by a bit. Appreciate you stopping by. I hope things are going good for you.

    Useful little pitch changer. I've been thinking about a baritone lately as well. Already got a 6 string bass about 10 years back, when I found a good price on a Schecter Hellcat VI Diamond Series. Great bass for guitar players. Nice playing with your Digitech Drop. Sounds real good!

      Oh cool. Had my eyes on a Fender 6 since I was a teen, LOL. I may still get there. I've been really pleased with my Schecter's. Thanks for the visit, UE.

      The original Fender Vi basses are out of my price range now. Almost bought one back in the late 70's or so. The guy I bought the Schecter from had a Fender VI.. we both agreed the Schecter played better! LOL Always enjoy your videos. I'll be back. ~Glenn

    Hi GV
    I think that's a refined version of the old ADA Pitchtraq. a simple pitch shifter that maintains an equal interval from the root note you're playing. The only thing is this one just pitch-shifts down and not up. It can be cool though for soloing if you set the intervals for 4ths, or 7ths.
    I wouldn't need this for baritone guitar though, I have a VG Stratocaster which has that tuning already built in. You can find those on the used market at pretty affordable prices.

    • @greatvanzini
      @greatvanzini  9 місяців тому +1

      HH! GTSY! Not familiar with the ADA, I rem their stuff from way back but never had any. Yeah, the shift up would be cool to try to get a Wes M. thing. I rem I almost bought a VG back when. They were pretty cool. Thanks for the visit!

    • @harleyhexxe9806
      @harleyhexxe9806 9 місяців тому +1

      @@greatvanzini The VG is useful in the sense that it lets you bring one guitar to a gig instead of five or six.
      The Pitchtraq I mentioned is a single channel effect. So, like this drop pedal, it gives you one pitch-shifted note in accompaniment to the note you're playing, up to one octave up, and two down. The thing about these that I've noticed is that the synthesis of the pitched note is more apparent with super clean guitar tones. These work best with a bit of overdrive or distortion, then the artifacts become more like sub harmonics than glitchy notes.

  • @BlugubriousMusic
    @BlugubriousMusic 9 місяців тому +1

    Intriguing stuff... would be great for loops... my looper has a bass octave feature, but if it did not.... if you have never had a baritone, heads up... in my opinion, the gap between a regular gauge six string and baritone in terms of feel is a little bigger than a baritone and bass. My not-so-strong hands have a tough time with the old bari.

    • @greatvanzini
      @greatvanzini  9 місяців тому

      Hey, Blugubrious! Yeah, same here. I'm good on bass for about 30 minutes before my knuckles are hurting. I think for the rare times I need a Bari, this will do.

      Hey there, Epi! Thanks for the visit! Yeah I think some of my Multi effects have something built in. I kind of wanted a standalone though just for home recording. Space is everything, LOL.
