As an Armenian born in Iran who was born during the Iran/Iraq war in 1985…I can tell you the people of Iran are amazingly kind, humble, smart and generous. As a Christian living in Iran I never felt in danger. However the people of Iran are oppressed. The woman are suffering folks! Don’t get it twisted, they don’t hate America! The government does. Iranians are very progressive and bright individuals that deserve to have their voices heard. I’ve been living in the states since 1996 but I won’t forget where I came from.
My partner qas flying to Iran with his work and I have also met Iranian people im Europe. The greatiest and nicest people I have to say.
I'm half Iranian (Mom) and half Armenian (Dad) born in Iran. Dad's side being Christian and Mom's side being Muslim is a big no no as I'm sure you know, but my parents were never treated badly and neither was I or my sister. We got to the US in 1994. My wife of 15 years is Iraqi and came here in 1994 too. Crazy how things turn out in life! I enjoyed reading your post, hope you have a good rest of the year brother!

I too am Iranian and I live in America. The idea of putting America first means the ideas of free speech, assembly, and press. We need to have difficult conversations and find a way to understand each other. The world's going to go even more crazy if we stop talking.

I agree with this message, we need to turn the temperature down. The whole world is suffering more in one way or another and we’re being divided by the enemy… the more we rage at each other the more we are dividing ourselves. Yelling insults at each other isn’t going to make the other side sympathize with you because of insults. It just drives EVERYONE further into misery. Lower the temperature down and understand the things you see on social media are DESIGNED to enrage you and keep a wedge between everyone to separate us and eventually the world will be so far apart that even shouting won’t be heard. As a muslim American I agree with almost all you saying. My neighbor is a hardcore Evangelical. Her dad used to show fingers at us. She was a sweetheart, and we have both made it a point that our kids have to grow as neighbors, and there is no way we can do it without respect. I love her and respect her she does the same. We share food, any help picking and dropping kids and much more. Yes we have been taught many wrong things in our cultures which i am unlearning too. All of us have to make an effort. GOD is looking at our intentions and thats what we will be rewarded for. I just want America to not get involved in any other countries political regimes. Stay out of it and help rebuild the American values of freedom. I left Iran in 1977 and totally understand what you are saying. I lived in England and later I ended up in USA. America gave me an opportunity and I ran with it working 16 hours a day to be where I am. I love America and Iranian people. As a Christian Arab Israeli living in Israel, I listen to your podcast and I really appreciate your opinions and how you address issues, I think it’s sad that we as human beings have lost the ability to have a decent conversation without it becoming violent and disrespectful. Everybody’s entitled to have their own opinion, it’s perfectly fine to disagree, as long as it’s done in a respectful manner.
I think the biggest problem we have today is that people don’t talk and don’t listen to one another, instead they build up this hatred inside and then it turns into violence.

I lived in Iraq until i was 17 years old. Lived through Iran & Iraq war and through the desert storm. Seeing what America going through right now, it's tearing me from inside out. I want to tell you that the SINGLE THING THAT I LOVE is the story of a dinner ( paraphrasing) if she agreed with a decision you made. She responded in the most important and my ultimate dream relationship…. ‘ I have complete trust in my husband making decisions that are in the best interest of me and the children. You have no idea how much your podcast means to me. It gives me a sense of safety that I haven’t felt before. I am the oldest of 4 and my dad is Jewish and my mom is catholic . I have a very loving family but I don’t feel like any of them have the same concerns. I am a patriot but the US seems so different from how I grew up.
