My favourite thing about Mettaton NEO is that even though he’s focused on his show and fans, he isn’t that brainless to stop you. He knows his NEO form can’t take a hit, but he atleast attempts to buy some time for Alphys and his ghost cousins to evacuate. That’s why his theme is a more robot-like Battle with a True Hero. Sure, he can’t do anything to you, but he truly is acting like a hero. I think most characters in Undertale just get overshadowed by Sans, i mean yeah, he possibly can remember timelines, and is a hard boss to beat, but atleast give some other characters the spotlight.

Duck Clone #17 He wouldn’t last a turn against you. You take the first hit, and he gets killed immediately. Hence why no matter what you do (that’s not FIGHT), it keeps saying “Stage Lights are blaring”. He’s intentionally stalling you because he knows his defences won’t let him live long enough.

Toby fox made genocide in a way where everybody is trying to tell you not to do, pressuring you to at least welcome their sparing and become ineligible for the genocide route. Late but, mettaton is supposed to be strong but we one shot him like the other bosses in genocide. According to a short I've seen mettaton has 30,000 health in the games code, but his defence is -40,000 so we can one shot him

Mettaton's body is mostly incomplete because Alphys was scared of losing her only friend if he had no use for her anymore so she never finished it. Mettaton came into this battle knowing he couldn't defeat you, he was only there to buy everyone else time to escape.

felios farkus funny little thing about that and something we never get to see is the human survives this. MTT was dealing seven a hit and frisk ends the battle with eight which is a nice detail
I love the sheer SERIOUSNESS of this fight. In this scenario, he's a military machine first, and a TV star second. Notice how it's all in serious mode, there are no fourth wall breaks, the main gimmick is you getting wounded without noticing it due to the adrenaline, which completely ignores the entire glitz of Mettaton's character. He's not using little robots with umbrellas or funny leg attacks but GENERIC, military-tier weaponry that causes the scenery to fill with explosions, fire, embers and even your own blood because the weight of the situation requires to kill you without fooling around. I love it.
I think toby had planned to have an epic fight but felt mettaton ex fight then a sans fight in a row would be mean or something but I wouldhave loved to see something like this in the official genocide route

Honestly this is one of the best fanmade fights out there... I'm kinda tired of overpowered and fast attacks because for me those kind of attacks ruin the experience a little bit (Disbelief Papyrus for example)... This fight stays very true to Undertale, amazing and innovative attacks that don't feel overwhelming.

Noah Maldonado but the point of mettaton NEO was to hype you up for it to be underwhelming, it’s supposed to be like that because it shows you how destructive frisk has become, the only reason the sans fight wasn’t over instantly was because he dodges and of course chara didn’t kill asgore.

Edi Tonti The fight was actually intended to be like this, but Toby didn’t want to overwhelm the player with two criminally hard bosses consecutively. He also wanted to player to feel invincible before the final fight with Sans.
He should honestly have a single move at the start, one where he throws everything at you, all of that power. Kinda like how sans starts his fights throwing their most powerful move before they can act
His fight should've been one long attack imo, the player's first attack breaks Mettaton's metal armor, then Mettaton responds with the long last stand attack, then the player one shots him. It wouldn't degrade from the feeling of power that Toby wanted to give and it'd be pretty unique

When Toby banned the hashtag Undertale for all of it leading to NSFW images the fans made the hashtag Undertail instead and started uploading Undertale porn with that hashtag.
Undertale: Hardmode Genocide Updates; 1. Toriel will be less forgiving. 2. Papyrus will try to stop you in dual 3. The dogs will pose a bigger threat 4. Side characters will now chime in to fight (Grillby, Temmie's, etc.) 5. Undyne fight will be much more intricate and harder to pass, similar to Sans in normal mode 6. Alphys will unleash the Amalgamates (because you have a higher LV, they should act as mini bosses rather than be unkillable) 7. All characters have a potential to dodge and block 8. RG 1 & 2 and Core Knights will be tougher 9. Mettaton NEO will have defenses due to Alphys doing early reinstalation 10. Sans will be much harder to pass to pass (two or three times as long with harder bullet patterns) 11. Asgore is notified and does absorbs 6 of the human souls, and is assisted by Flowey in his fight. 12. Once Asgore is killed, Flowey will absorb his and the six human souls as to fight you, becoming basically a second Asgore with plant based attacks. 13. There will be a Gaster fight, as yo now have to kill something who's scattered across time and space. 14. Chara will scold you and the games files will be deleted off your computer.
Honestly, this is what I wish the Mettaton NEO Fight was. I get that killing him in one hit makes you feel powerful and unstoppable and whatnot, but it’s kinda boring that the Genocide Route has only 2 challenging fights. To me, it’s more satisfying beating someone I know is strong than it is beating someone that I only have to assume was strong. Edit: Yes, I get it. The Genocide Route isn’t supposed to be fun. But honestly, that just makes me wonder what the point is having the fights with Undyne the Undying and Sans. Why do they get to be an exception?

Bleeding, huh? Thats a pretty cool idea for a boss like this. The only improvement would be that his attacks do slightly less damage, but they're quicker and harder to avoid and over time you start losing more and more health due to bleeding (bleeding stacks with each hit taken)

You know this battle actually makes sense for the genocide run. Mettaton in general should be a bitch to kill since hes a machine and really has no actual soul. Yes the ghost that inhabits the machine is technically a soul.... BUT Mettaton isn't alive like all the rest of them, So a one hit kill shouldn't actually be possible. This is one of the very RARE fan battles that actually logically corrects the original work and makes it better... not just over the top. Bravo.
in my opinion i thought it worked as scratching the body in order to get to the weak spot which would be the wires and that with every hit, you scratch its body even more, letting you more space to hit the weak spots, meaning the more you hit, the more you break him, the more you break him, the more damage you will do
I like this explanation I read once... Mettaton is a _human_ eradication robot. And at this point in the Genocide Run, _you're no longer human._ So what he's built to stand up to, is no longer what you are, and he has no defenses designed for whatever it is you've become.

What matters really is that no matter what the whole premise of this game is that it is a colossal spoof on the concept of gaming itself. That no matter how difficult the game, how powerful the bosses, or challenging the traps, that YOU the main character are basically invincible due to the all powerful "save point" AKA "determination". In the end sans is nothing more then the manifestation of the video game as an entity made flesh actually breaking the fourth wall and fighting the protagonist itself, aka YOU! It's like if your gameboy cartridge came alive grabbed a sword and decided to fight you to the death! Thats sans. This is why this game is wholly unique. only thing that comes close in concept is the deadpool kills everyone series.
I kinda love how this the themes all like compiled together. Like you can hear if you listen closely. I do honestly think this should’ve been the most epic battle and if it were like this it definitely would be. I get the point is to not feel fulfilled but like... this is just badass. Mettaton NEO is supposed to be a last bastion of sorts to protect the underground so... yeah. It’s a very well structured fight honestly, you get determined to disobey.

At 3:07, according to the dialog, Frisk was bleeding because it said " your arm feels damp" "there is a red puddle on the floor" at least, something like that.
I remember seeing this animation a long time ago and it's still amazing, I think my only problem is the way Mettaton was flying, he already had wings there was no need to give him those flames thrusters
man i like how Mettaton goes in on insulting you and also treats you more like a rival than a major threat in need of being killed, like Mettaton still understands you, and as the fight progresses Mettaton gets shows to get more and more serious with you as it goes on, and then starts treating you fully as a threat. Great take on If this fight would have happened. and then that last part at the end, Holy shit, i love this.

I may not be in the fanbase, but this fan remake of the normally pointless battle is epic, glamorous, deserving of a "99/100 One too many legs -IGN" rating, and its own spot in the actual game. I love it.

Oh, you'd still oneshot him, but only after you get killed by his suicide attack at the end. You respawn at the save point, come back, the fight restarts as 'usual' but then you just oneshot him like you do at the end of the fight.
You could say mettaton doesn't find frisk *drop-dead* gorgeous! That one was kind of a stretch, but I always say: "puns are to die for" I'm going to stop now.

Most of his initial difficulty comes from his mastery of the element of surprise, but his patterns aren't too hard once you know them. Undyne on the other hand isn't so much hard as she is just... long. Takes her a while to die. Innuendo not intended.
+OnEiNsAnEmOtHeRfUcKa You couldn't be more correct. Sans is hard in the beginning, but once you beat him a couple times, you can do it no sweat. He always attacks in pretty much the same pattern, give or take a little at the end of the fight. Undyne's green attacks are easy once you learn them, and the only attack I have trouble with is the one where she spawns spears when you're red, they pause for a second, and then all go in on you. Aside from that, use the Ballet Shoes. She goes down pretty easily.

I'm kinda tired of overpowered and fast attacks because for me those kind of attacks ruin the experience a little bit (Disbelief Papyrus for example)... This fight stays very true to Undertale, amazing and innovative attacks that don't feel overwhelming.

I was so sad when mettaton neo looked so cool but then got no fight.
I tried sparing and checking him like ten times and nothing happened, I was hoping to see some attacks at least before I one shotted him

His fight should've been one long attack imo, the player's first attack breaks Mettaton's metal armor, then Mettaton responds with the long last stand attack, then the player one shots him. It wouldn't degrade from the feeling of power that Toby wanted to give and it'd be pretty unique

Undertale: Hardmode Genocide Updates;
1. Toriel will be less forgiving.
2. Papyrus will try to stop you in dual
3. The dogs will pose a bigger threat
4. Side characters will now chime in to fight (Grillby, Temmie's, etc.)
5. Undyne fight will be much more intricate and harder to pass, similar to Sans in normal mode
6. Alphys will unleash the Amalgamates (because you have a higher LV, they should act as mini bosses rather than be unkillable)
7. All characters have a potential to dodge and block
8. RG 1 & 2 and Core Knights will be tougher
9. Mettaton NEO will have defenses due to Alphys doing early reinstalation
10. Sans will be much harder to pass to pass (two or three times as long with harder bullet patterns)
11. Asgore is notified and does absorbs 6 of the human souls, and is assisted by Flowey in his fight.
12. Once Asgore is killed, Flowey will absorb his and the six human souls as to fight you, becoming basically a second Asgore with plant based attacks.
13. There will be a Gaster fight, as yo now have to kill something who's scattered across time and space.
14. Chara will scold you and the games files will be deleted off your computer.

Honestly, this is what I wish the Mettaton NEO Fight was. I get that killing him in one hit makes you feel powerful and unstoppable and whatnot, but it’s kinda boring that the Genocide Route has only 2 challenging fights. To me, it’s more satisfying beating someone I know is strong than it is beating someone that I only have to assume was strong.
Edit: Yes, I get it. The Genocide Route isn’t supposed to be fun. But honestly, that just makes me wonder what the point is having the fights with Undyne the Undying and Sans. Why do they get to be an exception?

The only improvement would be that his attacks do slightly less damage, but they're quicker and harder to avoid and over time you start losing more and more health due to bleeding (bleeding stacks with each hit taken)

You know this battle actually makes sense for the genocide run. Mettaton in general should be a bitch to kill since hes a machine and really has no actual soul. Yes the ghost that inhabits the machine is technically a soul.... BUT Mettaton isn't alive like all the rest of them, So a one hit kill shouldn't actually be possible. This is one of the very RARE fan battles that actually logically corrects the original work and makes it better... not just over the top. Bravo.
in my opinion i thought it worked as scratching the body in order to get to the weak spot which would be the wires and that
with every hit, you scratch its body even more, letting you more space to hit the weak spots, meaning the more you hit, the more you break him, the more you break him, the more damage you will do
Pretty sure Mettaton become corporeal at some point, and a corporeal ghost CAN be one shotted. Just putting that out there.
I like this explanation I read once... Mettaton is a _human_ eradication robot. And at this point in the Genocide Run, _you're no longer human._ So what he's built to stand up to, is no longer what you are, and he has no defenses designed for whatever it is you've become.

What matters really is that no matter what the whole premise of this game is that it is a colossal spoof on the concept of gaming itself. That no matter how difficult the game, how powerful the bosses, or challenging the traps, that YOU the main character are basically invincible due to the all powerful "save point" AKA "determination". In the end sans is nothing more then the manifestation of the video game as an entity made flesh actually breaking the fourth wall and fighting the protagonist itself, aka YOU! It's like if your gameboy cartridge came alive grabbed a sword and decided to fight you to the death! Thats sans. This is why this game is wholly unique. only thing that comes close in concept is the deadpool kills everyone series.

I do honestly think this should’ve been the most epic battle and if it were like this it definitely would be. I get the point is to not feel fulfilled but like... this is just badass. Eh, Sans is no trouble once you get him down. Most of his initial difficulty comes from his mastery of the element of surprise, but his patterns aren't too hard once you know them.
Undyne on the other hand isn't so much hard as she is just... long. Takes her a while to die.

He always attacks in pretty much the same pattern, give or take a little at the end of the fight. Undyne's green attacks are easy once you learn them, and the only attack I have trouble with is the one where she spawns spears when you're red, they pause for a second, and then all go in on you. Aside from that, use the Ballet Shoes. She goes down pretty easily.
