In this video tutorial, Dubspot course designers Benton-C Bainbridge and V Owen Bush take us inside Vidvox's VDMX software--the application at the center of our new Visual Performance Program--and offer a glimpse at some of the concepts and techniques that will be explored in the course.
They explain how to configure VDMX and navigate the basic playback parameters using the Simple Player template, which allows you to immediately start loading media clips and jamming with them. They also look at how to manipulate media clips using looping, effects, layering, animation and more. You can download the archive of clips used in the video here.

Hi - the demo, free download version - so you can't save projects, but do you only have the demo version for a period of time until you have to either give it up or buy the full license?
Modul8 is another excellent choice.
What’s the difference between this and Resolume? I’m new to this. Digital Media student and want to pursue VJ’ing.
resolume avenue is pretty good, too, and it runs on windows.
If VDMX was multi-platform I would buy it in second.
boom. can make a folder quickly of this stuff make live visual show already and didn't have to pay for anything.

the current version b0.8.0.9.7 does not have the templates available. anyone else having similar problems?

pretty pissed that this is only for Mac. If only there were a linux or windows version i would use it.

mac only? why not choose something universal and accessible to all.
