Best tutorial I have watched lately, thank you. Although I fully can understand you, I appreciate also that you subbed your video! Definitly subscribed!
So happy to hear that, Sinoca )) Especially as I'm in-the-making of a new Resolume 6 tutorial about the Radial Cloner Effect. Your comment propels me forwards >> Thanks for subscribing and I hope the next one will be even better haha
@@STVinMotion Ok that is great, cause I have 6 and with my absolutly beginner skills I was not able to find out how to do that.
I'm looking forward for that video! Anyway I think you are very good in putting this together, so I wouldn't mind if even more videos follow...
@@sinocam Resolume V.6 (version 6.1.3 and above) includes the Transform, Radial Cloner & Linear Cloner effects that I'm talking about in this tutorial - as native effects. You do not need to install any plugins anymore. Find these effects by searching their names in the Effects tab. Good luck ))
Hi Steve, Your videos are very usefull, specific, colorfull and energetic !!! Thanks.... Regards!!!
Thanks you guys! 😊 So happy to hear that is was helpful 🤘 Let's spread visual magic and create enchanting experiences for our fellow human beings 👉👈
This was absolutely fantastic, keep up the incredible work! I'll be buying two of your loop packs as soon as I have the extra cash.
Thank you Techy Teeko :)
Thanks. This helped. I have no one i can turn to and am trying to learn lights and graphics myself....just production for concerts, etc.
@digimon916 happy to hear that it helped. A few ideas to push you further: did you watch the Resolume training on their website? It's basic but creates good fundaments. There are a couple of good groups in Facebook: "VJ union Global"and other VJ union groups. The "Resolume " Facebook group. I created a "Resolume Tutorials" Facebook group where I post food Resolume tutorials that I find online. Those were some ideas, should be easy to find them online, if not tell me and I'll get you direct links. The groups I mentioned are really supportive and ppl would answer you questions with passion. I would, though, search the group first to verify that your question wasn't answered many times already 😅 Tell me how it goes!
very nice tutorial !!! thank you!

Thank you, Adin! :)
really nice stuff :) how did you make the first loop you loaded in ?
Thanks Chris :) Made in After Effects, the outer rings are Shape Layers (with rotated Repeaters) and the inner 3D shape is made with the Elements 3D plugin - in Wireframe Mode. Hope it helps ;)
Im happy to discover this tutorial very nice!!!.Thank you Sir!...Sir i downloaded the radial cloner but it
will not function in my Resolume Arena 5...Any idea sir what can i do to make it working in my arena 5...it is nice effect
Hi there, Michael! You're welcome, happy to hear you've found inspiration in this Tutorial! Regarding the plugin, First let's verify that you've installed the plugin correctly - follow these instructions: "Create a new folder called ‘FFGL Plugins’ inside the Resolume folder in My Documents (PC) or Documents (Mac). Copy the unzipped .bundle file (Mac) or .dll file (PC) into that folder. In Resolume, add this folder as an extra FFGL plugin folder in the video tab of the preferences. Restart Resolume and the plugins will be loaded. Further details here: resolume.com/blog/11828/world-wide-ffgl-plugins-list-free-and-premium. Good luck & please reply here and tell me if installing correctly solved it!
Hi Sir Good evening..thanks a lot for giving your time entertaining my question. I am looking forward and getting more interested in your your tutorials.Sir I copy already the FFGL in resolume arena documents, but i dont know how to add the FFGL plugins in the video tab of the preferences. I am only new in this field but im interested to learn in your tutorial because Im working in an event company her in Dubai...Thank you Sir and more power.God bless
More Power! :) Open Resolume, in the upper left area you have: Arena | Composition | Deck | Layer etc. Click on Arena, then in the drop down menu click Preferences, a Preferences window will open. In this window, on the left you have General | Audio | Video etc. Click Video. to the right will open: FreeFrame (FFGL) Plugin Directories. there should be one directory already set. below it there are small plus & Minus ( + | - ) buttons. Click the plus + button. Another window will open - in this window browse and find the folder you've created in the first step ("Create a new folder called ‘FFGL Plugins’ inside the Resolume folder in My Documents (PC) or Documents (Mac). Copy the unzipped .bundle file (Mac) or .dll file (PC) into that folder.) Choose this folder & Click OK. The window closes and you can see that the new folder was added in a new path. Restart Resolume and the plugins will be loaded. Tell me if it worked for you! Full Power ;)
Hi Sir thank you for your time..I already done your instruction it is already in the video preferences, however it will not work the cloner effect is not there in effect window when i click it...thank you Sir, and More power..God bless
Are you on Pc or Mac? Have you unzipped the original zip file? What is the full name of the ffgl plugin in your folder ‘FFGL Plugins’ inside the Resolume documents? Look for the plugin under the name: H8_RotateClone in Resolume Effects tab. Tell me if it worked for you - we will make it work. Eventually ;)
What laptop do you use? I’m also pursuing VJ’ing and need to buy a laptop since my 2011 MacBook is outdated.
Hey Steve! Steve here ;) I use Asus Rog Laptops - as they prove to be Reliable & have good Cooling Systems. Important for Resolume is to have a fast SSD drive to pull the content from. The right Graphic Cr=ard configuration for you depends on the number of output you wanna have, mobility, etc. I suggest you ask this question in the VJ union Facebook group facebook.com/groups/vjunionglobal, get more opinions, debate and eventually pick the one that fits your needs. Good luck!
My man!
It Doesn't Work on 64bit Edition of Arena (v6), but very informative video and nice graphic loops !!!
Hy Jochy, Resolume v6 Has a built-in Transform effect so there's no need in the frParameters Plugin. The Radial Cloner is already in Beta for the 64 version (I tested it and it works well) It should be released in the near future. Try contacting the developer at anton@hive8.com to ask for updates. Thanks for watching the tut, liking it and taking the time to feedback, more tuts are coming up, soon :)
Had a doubt.....will a 13 inch macbook pro be enough to project visuals on a LED wall? Or do i need a 15 inch laptop?
You should get a Laptop with dedicated Graphics card. Say GTX 1060 as minimum. (I would go Nvidia and not AMD) I'm on PC and there are no 13" laptops with a decent Graphics card atm. Plus, imho you should get more than 13" screen in order to have space for the user interface - meaning that more parameters will be visible and less scrolling around looking for those parameters ;) Good luck!
@@STVinMotion Thanks a ton buddy.
Were can I download this this would be great for my dj set is it free software or does the software come with all the visual features
Resolume Arena is a software you can purchase resolume.com/software/avenue_arena the demo is free, try it out. These visuals are a pack you can purchase www.stvinmotion.com/shop/vectorius/ also, download free VJ clips - samples from VJ packs www.stvinmotion.com/free hope this helps 🤞
Hi- What do you do when you download the plug-in? After I click on it, it opens in terminal and I am not sure what I need to do so it shows up on my resolume also
Hi Fahad Kiani! Check this link on how to install plugins: resolume.com/blog/11828/world-wide-ffgl-plugins-list-free-and-premium. Here's some explanation from there: "On Resolume 5 and before, create a new folder called ‘FFGL Plugins’ inside the Resolume folder in My Documents (PC) or Documents (Mac). Copy the unzipped .bundle file (Mac) or .dll file (PC) into that folder. In Resolume, add this folder as an extra FFGL plugin folder in the video tab of the preferences. Restart Resolume and the plugins will be loaded." Hope this helped you? If not, try to give me more details. Good luck :)
Hi,@@STVinMotion Ive done it just like this, but unfortunately, extra effect dont show up in effects panel. What can be wrong? I double checked if it's correct format ( i use windows), and correct folder. Even created new subfolder in resolume (i use arena 6)and restarted resolume few times. still no sign of additional ex in panel. Maybe theres something to do in prefesences? Thank yoo for tutorials and your work!
Hi hjlbjy! I feel your passion for visuals and loving it :) Resolume 6 is 64 bit - and that means the former 32 bit plugins won't work. In Resolume 6 you don't need to use the Frparametrs anymore as they have a native "Transform" effect to do just that. The Radial Cloner effect is already in beta, I tested it and it works well. It should be release within the a few weeks. Send me an email to info@stvinmotion.com and I will let you know as soon as the developer released the plug for the public.
Can these be used in real concert shows
Sure, George, that's exactly what they are for. Sold with a performance license here: stvinmotion.com/shop/vectorius/
Thanks man
King of effect
Thank you! Effects are our way to rule the kingdom of visuals :) 👑
how to add this plugin to my resolume?
Hi pinky 98! depending on your Resolume version: (find more here: resolume.com/blog/11828/world-wide-ffgl-plugins-list-free-and-premium)
On Resolume 6, drop them in the Extra Effects subfolder in Resolume's folder in Documents. Resolume will load this folder automatically on the next launch.
On Resolume 5 and before, create a new folder called ‘FFGL Plugins’ inside the Resolume folder in My Documents (PC) or Documents (Mac). Copy the unzipped .bundle file (Mac) or .dll file (PC) into that folder. In Resolume, add this folder as an extra FFGL plugin folder in the video tab of the preferences. Restart Resolume and the plugins will be loaded.
Your loops are not played in vlc or other player. Please help
The loops are coded in DXV codec. It's the native codec of Resolume VJ Software. You need to install DXV codec on your computer first. Download it here: resolume.com/download/files?file=Resolume_DXV_Codec_3_0_1_Installer.exe More info here: resolume.com/software/codec
OK thanks
can i take a class?
Hi Josue, I hope to create a free course in the future, one that will have things organized in a way that leads you from the basics to the advanced with emphasis on playing around a theme.
