Applied the concept you covered in this video to cover water more so than worry about changing baits and colors yesterday on the water and it paid dividends. History I would have fished an area that I have had success in changing baits and colors unit I got a bite, spending almost an entire day in an area trying to figure out why they were not biting. Yesterday, while I was fishing my first area and getting no bites, the cover water tip popped up in my head, and I went to the graph, found two other areas that I thought looked good across the lake (about a 1/2 mile run) and my first cast in the new location was a 5lb smallie. I proceeded to catch 8 more fish in on this spot, most over 4lbs with a 2.5 lber and a 3 lber. It was a great two hours of fishing, and it wouldn't have happened had I not applied the cover water to find biting fish concept. Just thought I would share since yesterday's success is right on the heels of this video.
I’ve been looking forward to the this collaboration since the tease! You guys are at the top of my subscriber list. I’ve learned so much from each of you. Keep up representing Faith, Family and Fishing!
Both of you guys are freaking awesome. 2 of my 3 favorite people to watch. You have no idea how much the 2 of you have helped me. Started fishing again after 30 years this year. Keep the good help coming guys. Cheers.
Wow I don’t think I’ve seen a better video where two people just bounce energy off each other. Lol I’m new to bass fishing, this has me excited to learn. 🎣 Great video! 🤙🏻
For relaxation and straight fishing it's NDYakAngler all day, when I need some help and want to learn something and get better it's you guys! Great content!
I had not fished in a while till a buddy on IG inspired me to start back up. I then started YouTubing fishing videos and you two guys popped up. I decided to give y’all a watch as in the past I never had success with other angler videos. I continued to watch y’all’s videos and have found success. By taking the information y’all have provided I have caught more fish this year than ever before. It is December and I am still pulling 5 pound bass. Thank y’all for sharing your knowledge. God Bless and tight lines.
Thank you guys for sharing so much of your knowledge with us. You guys are completely right about about tip 3. I grew up on the Kankakee River and fish rivers constantly. I have takin your advice and turned it into catching fish on the river! This summer has been some of the best times I have had fishing the river. Everything I did this summer was mostly based on the knowledge from your video’s. Thanks again!
When I tell you I gasped! If Flukemaster was there, that would be the big three bass anglers of UA-cam that have taught me everything I know about fishing.
Love both your videos. I feel like I've learned alot about bass fishing from the two of you're videos. Thanks for the education. Just wish I had lakes by me like you guys fish
Im relatively new to bass fishing and when I go out to fish I normally go to 1 specific lake and then 1 area that Ive had success at. I watch way more YT than I actually fish. Two days ago I went to a new lake that turned out to be much clearer water than my usual spot. While I still didnt catch, I could actually see my lures in the water. I gained so much more understanding just being able to see my lures in action. It was like someone turned on another light switch. So I agree, more time on the water is invaluable, and different bodies of water.
My two favorite anglers on the same video , ya love to see it! Definitely love the videos guys you both have taught me a lot! Keep up the good work ! ❤💯🤘🏽
I met a couple of guys the day before yesterday who are very good trout fishermen. They taught me a ton of stuff and I caught 6 trout that day and went to cook the 4 I kept! They taught me so much I had no idea I was doing wrong. One of them was a professional on a sport fishing boat, so definitely talk with your fellow fishermen it can change everything for you on the lake
Great video, #4 has been the most important to me, I've bass fished most of my life but wasn't very good at it but got lucky and found a coworker who is one of the best bass fishermen I've ever met , watched him beat my butt trip after trip but learned so much from him that I am a much better bass fisherman today because of it , he has put me on so much fish its unreal , my first 50+ bass in a day was because of him, broke my personal best three times while out with him , the confidence I have today is a 1000 times more than just 4 years ago , also I fish with about 5 other guys from time to time and I learn a lot from them too, mostly what not to do lol but I'm always open to fish with new people because you can always learn from others on the water
after take back time of year comment it does matter time of year. but just paying attention of what is going on the surface of the water & what you see on the lake to fishing is really knowledgeable.
I totally agree with time on the water above all else & some knowledge of fish movements versus time of year. sometimes you can see big fish busting bank or open water & be just 20 yards to far away?? very frustrating. that's why we go back as soon as we can--
I'll do both sometimes I'll be out fishing and have one ear bud in listening to one of you guys or a few other guys on UA-cam depending on what I'm fishing with or technique I'm trying to learn all from the bank though. I try to fish everyday even if it's only 15 minutes on my way home from work. My spots are limited and highly pressured so it's been getting frustrating and discouraging lately Thanks for all the advice and congrats on the 14+ pounder that's amazing
Holey Moses! I spend a ton of time fishing my big local creek. My PB is a little over 4 pounds. I've seen 5 to 7 lb bass swimming but have never hooked up with one yet. I would love to lip a double digit bass!!!
It's like you were talking specifically to me on tip number 3, I'm literally sitting here on a Saturday morning watching this video, I spend more time watching bass fishing videos than on the water. Lol
I love the tackle needed part. People ask why I have so many poles. I tell them its like golf.. You ned a different pole for different fishing like you need different Golf Clubs for what you are doing in Golf.

#1) If I am fishing a new body of water I focus on location first off, if I have experience on the lake then I will flip between baits that have had some sort of success in the past to dial in on the bite. I've just found that when fishing a new lake that if I am spending too much time going through lures, I am not seeing enough of the lake. You look at your map and waypoints at the end of the day and it really sets in just how little of the lake you got to. #2) As to the gear, I think people just automatically think it's sponsor thumping unfortunately. Both of you guys have been good about focusing on rod powers, actions and lengths and gear ratios on the reels so we can overlook the manufacturer, which is much appreciated. I know you Berger, pushed for the sponsors you have and stand behind them. Assuming similar with other Tyler, it's not like you guys signed deals with the devil and are peddling bad products. #3) Balance is paramount in my opinion. It's really easy to hit the water with your head absolutely filled with all the stuff you have been absorbing and it can be overwhelming. Also you can easily hit the lake multiple times and just being doing the same thing you did before just because it works. While your boating fish, you aren't building new skills. Best to pick a thing or two, watch a refresher video the night before and work on only those on the water. Kind of why lot of pros will joke about only taking one rod when they are referring to practicing a new technique or presentation/lure. It's so easy to just go with the flow and end of the day look down and say "Huh, I never got around to throwing that ned rig again." #4) This one is probably the hardest for a lot of people. Be friendly on the shores or docks, strike up conversations. Mention what you were/are trying to do, they might carry on with what works for them. Also try and go to your local baitshops and sporting goods stores and skip the big box stores (cabela's, dicks etc). You'll be able to ask tons of questions, get recommended lures and such. #5) Gotta have some mini goals. My go-to is looking at the nav maps for a lake and combing through and finding a few spots that I think are going to be productive (Triangle method baby). If any of those spots are a hit, I feel good about the day.
sup Tyler,. great video, lot of info. I see a lot on tackle, rods, reels ect .. I have 2 new baicasting combos that wanted, but almost 2 years practicing in yard I still backlash? saw so many videos, and made every adjustment can, but still nothing, nobody does a video for extreme beginners and what to do when keep backlashing? or how to actually use thumb? tyvm tc
I’m really struggling. I just picked up a few different frogs and I can’t catch anything or even get bites. I fish areas where I catch a lot of bass. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I can’t get the bait to walk. I’ve tried slowing down and also tried fast retrieve. I’m using a 7 foot medium with 25 pound braid. What am I doing wrong. It’s not a stiff rod but also not real lite tip either. What am I doing wrong.
I’m trying to do a fishing channel in the mid Ga area. Fishing with faith outdoors is the name of the channel. I don’t get to get on the water as much as some folks, I do have a boat , but I have caught 6-8 ponders from the bank on baits I put faith in lol hits the name and my faith in Jesus as well. I don’t have any go pros or a laptop I’m a poor man just trying to share what I been doing to catch fish and raise a family. I’ve been doing all the editing and videoing on my phone. I love y’all’s channels and y’all do a awesome job on UA-cam. Hopefully one day I’ll hit 10,000 at least lol. God bless and thanks.
Lol I use ugly sticks alot I have no issues All of it matters on what u believe in I have no rod or reel over 70 bucks. I strongly disagree . I never will. I'm just a guy loves to fish. It's not my job.

The first video I watched of youres was how to properly use a jig, so I went out where I always catch fish and caught 5x more fish on a jig.
Great video!
Y’all need to do more videos together. This is great
Love your videos
Hey Tyler, Hey Tyler...Thanks !
I need to go fishing with yall! 😁
I’m really struggling. I just picked up a few different frogs and I can’t catch anything or even get bites. I fish areas where I catch a lot of bass. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Sadly I can't use the app it's not in my country 😭
Very cool
The ending😂
morison lake?
Sorry, I just don't have that much money! I hear you, but "Time on the Water" is the key.
First time seeing your videos and Indian lake is where I fish. Lmao
Talk to other anglers and see what works in those areas fish with everyone you know fishes and learn what they know and teach them what you know.
But , what about fishing from the bank. Not everyone can aford a bass boat
Jimmy Jimmy jimmy
if TRF wasn’t from Texas he’d be alright.
That makes zero sense
Lol I use ugly sticks alot I have no issues
All of it matters on what u believe in I have no rod or reel over 70 bucks. I strongly disagree . I never will. I'm just a guy loves to fish. It's not my job.
Tip 1: fish where there are fish. Thanks.
First
Tip #2: Go Fishing. Thanks
Cut out the intro . Get to meat
I remember when I thought these two were the same person
hahaha
I’m new to bass fishing and also a new subscriber to both channels. Thank you for what you do.
