I'm working on my 4th motion graphic/animated video for my job and I just discovered, by accident, that I can convert AI files into shape layers. I guess my bit of conundrum is that I feel like I'd want to keep those files as AI files so when I'm creating multiple comps from those original AI files, if my boss or supervisor wants a color change or something on my character I can simply go back to the Illustrator file, make the change, save, and every AE comp will be updated as well.
What are your thoughts on this? Am I overthinking this?
Also, can you please tell me where'd you get that nifty peg board behind you???

For sure! If you animate the start and endpoints in the CC Bend It effect, you should have no problem.

I don't understand why you don't explain how to do the animations. You start with being very beginner friendly and then just jump past everything and assume we know what you mean by "I just animated the trim paths". So confused.
