git to scuffin
0:56 are you fucking blind , stupid or a combination of both , moron?
It's funny how they say it's important to follow the prep instructions to the letter, and I have a can of this stuff right in front of me. I quote from the can: "Scuff/sand surface with a red scotch brite pad or equivalent."
Killerabekat123 ... thanks for that, idiot certainly needed some straightening out!
trillriff-axegrinder I bet you're a real nice person in real life
Would you recommend this product on cast iron manifolds? I would first sand down the manifolds clean them then use it.
Sand blast
So....they didn't scuff anything up first?
You can’t use this paint like the ultimate warrior and spray it on your face Not recommended
Yeah. But does the paint reduce engine bay temps like a real ceramic coat?
that's what I want to know as well, should have painted one and left one natural and measured the temps of each one
They say it does help, but I doubt it's as much as the real thing would
Should have used black.... hard to see fade with a chalky grey color paint lol
dude, where is your mask. Not way you would catch me without a mask spraying that stuff.
Eye protection too!
I want use VHT anymore I'll use grill paint now instead lol
I agree if all u want is a black or a silver! That shit stays on and won't flake off or fade much. If I paint something high heat with a color I usually use the grill paint for a primer lol serious I think it works way better for this kinda stuff
@@jjmccloud yeah bro worked well on my headers
Yeah but that do you do to bake it I can keep putting headers back on like on a dyno
how much?
It's about $10 a can at most auto part stores
should have used black paint for comparison
will it work for cast iron headers?
Absolutely, I use the high temp grill paint for primer though it sticks way better and cost less, then I use vht for whatever color but if u just want black or silver that grill paint is the way to go
I do member when..food ol days
amazing!
No... Jaja your amazing
@jigga jaw why you ughing me
They talk legit but they didn’t follow the process bake bake bake bake to the proper temperature
So they look good... but do nothing for heat!
This stuff is fake tho right ? Like it don’t reduce temps at all
Got stainless much better !
That solves the rust issue however it does not solve heat issue
Unless you live in Florida. Down here anything will rust, mold, dry rot or decide it’s NEVER coming off. Lol.
I used vht high heat engine enamel on my motorcycle cylinder. The black sprayed on great. I let it dry for 5 days. Yeah it said 7 but who has that time to wait. I sprayed on vht high heat gloss clear coat and it lifted the black paint and primer right off. It was horrible. Sorry but I’m not using their paint or duplicolor paint ever again. It was a complete waste of my time
Did it on my E30 329i OEM Header - 2 Month and it was gone, shitty shit shit :]
I know two guys that could get that header to 2000 degrees!
Casandra Lodge
how do i wrap my booty, under the bonnett temperatures.....because ...gas burns.
Rebeka Orchard
VHT's "Flat Red" paint is not red, trust my headers look like oranges now. LOL. Its fine.
tried it years ago.i may have misread
Motip vht paints don't require a primer...nice test tho boys
I found this to be true in most cases but I still use primer because I've always been told it seals up the metal pores a little better and also smooths out the surface better too especially when paint older headers that's not new out of the box
Or its just an extra $10 a can they make on a paint job telling people they have to use it lol I do use there matte clearcoat too just cause it helps with scratching and gives it a little better finish
"Good"
VHT sucks! They will rust after a few times getting them hot..
You have to prep them right. Mine are almost 4 years old since I did them, but they need redone again.
