This is just magic. Lyrics are so underrated, Paul does not disappoint when it comes to writing. The sound is so unique it's almost indescribable. This album is going to be great.
I wanted 'Clipping' to start immediately after this song. Huge tune! super stoked for the album but these two songs will surely take me through the rest of July.
Absolutely brilliant. A MM fan since the beginning and I immediately got chills listening to this track. I think MM is creatively at a place where their music sounds intrinsically natural; not forced into any one style or genre. Unique to only MM and sounds like nothing I've heard. That is true art; true music.. "that" my friends, is MUTEMATH. Can't wait for #playdead
So true! it's great when songs just have this 'flow' to them, like it's not forced at all and it's just coming out. Mutemath has that nailed. Favorite band and this album is going to be phenomenal. I just hope they don't get 'discovered' like TOP!
Bryce Walburn if you know MuteMath's background, you know it's not too far a stretch. Considering Paul, Darren and Roy came from Earthsuit, a heavily Christian-centric band, and Paul's lyrics have slowly lost their spiritual weight. But this one holds some resonance.
they do strongly resist being labeled as an "faith-centric" band however... I think its up to the listener to interpret whats going on here. Either way, they are such a talented group of guys that the songs can do and feel different to each listener. I think that's a great thing
I agree... when you listen to the chorus Stroll on .... WE DONT BELONG HERE.... I think he's referring to Christians... this world isn't our home... hence we are wearing EARTHSUITS
Patrick S true, but to reach a demographic of people ,being labeled as this one thing will not always allow you to reach a target audience. Not that that's what they are trying to do but "christian " bands only get airplay on christian radio stations. With the exception of a small few.you can reach more people with a positive outlook and message when you just do what you do without the labels
welcome to the club bro!. check out all of it. been a fan since 2006. also, check out Earthsuit. erly MM with the same bass player and paul meany. Merry Christmas!
I've been following their music for years. I had loved every single album they have put out. It's great to hear musicians at the top of their craft, continuing to push themselves creatively. I already have tickets to see them in SF!
I remember when this album was announced. My gf was so excited. She played it on repeat for hours. She passed away In august of 2022. I hope I’m those last days she spent in the ICU she was able to hear me play this for her one more time. I miss you skye. You are loved forever still …
Been listening to this since like…2019? An animation introduced me to it. Normally I’d get sick of songs after a while, but this one sticks. It feels like my theme in a way, and I love it
Hahah I KNEW I heard a ping pong ball toward the end there. Spent the last 30s like "are they actually ping-pong panning a ping pong ball across this track?!"
I have followed you guys since you played Relative Theory Records in Norfolk, VA before your first album came out many moons ago. I'm pretty sure it was the first time you played our area. It was life changing I have been a fan since the first EP and you have not let me down. I am so grateful you guys have not stopped creating music. Please don't ever stop. Stroll on...
Thanks to top I’ve found another band that I know I’ll be a fan of in no time! I loved the tøpxmm sessions so much and Paul’s influence on Trench was amazing, but Im Just now checking out their own stuff!
I don't think the radio could handle good music like this
AMEN X 1000000!!. most would be in shock. many are after leaving a live show!!.
Radio cant handle anything longer than 3:33 and not about sexuality, ego, love, or heartbreak.
you guys must have pretty shitty radio channels.
Radio is for the ignorant masses. So is any other mainstream entertainment form and news.
Been a fan for almost 9 years. They still surprise me everytime.
Saw them back in 2005/2006 on their debut album tour. Haven't missed a show since.
Every. Time.
*him* now
These boys can jump sounds like nothing and sound dope everytime. One of the many things that makes this band special. Long live mutemath!
The hit parade just keeps coming. There is nothing dead about this new album.
The lyrics in this song are incredible... Can't wait for the album!
I GET IT!
amen to that bro! great keeps getting greater!
Darren King just left the band 😭
@Luke Thacker little did I know it was a prediction for the band. :(
This record is going to slay.
This is just magic. Lyrics are so underrated, Paul does not disappoint when it comes to writing. The sound is so unique it's almost indescribable. This album is going to be great.
This album as a whole still kicks today
I wanted 'Clipping' to start immediately after this song.
Huge tune! super stoked for the album but these two songs will surely take me through the rest of July.
I followed your suggestion :)
Awesome! Hope you enjoyed it!
Paul, Your Voice is Still The Freshest! Keep the Faith, Brother. God Bless YOU and the Band
Dead. I'm dead. So excited to see the tour and hear the album soon!!!
Is it okay that a 53 y/o geezer (me) can't get enough of this band?
Hoorah! Darren always with that nice funk swag.
Waiting for drum break.....
Ahhhh yes.
so funktastic.
They don't really ever let me down.👏🏻

Paul's really fighting for his faith here in these lyrics. So beautiful. Praying for you my dude! Killer track!
That's quite the conclusion.

Bill burr podcast brought me here. Wish I knew about mutemath sooner. One of the few groups I've found where I like every song
welcome to the club bro!. check out all of it. been a fan since 2006. also, check out Earthsuit. erly MM with the same bass player and paul meany. Merry Christmas!
They've come so far since the debut album. I still love them and everything they put out and everything they stand for. God bless Mutemath.
I've been following their music for years. I had loved every single album they have put out. It's great to hear musicians at the top of their craft, continuing to push themselves creatively. I already have tickets to see them in SF!
my body wasn't ready for those synths near the end

My Goodness!!! I just...I don't even know...how do they do...I'm like...No full sentences here. I'm too taken with their genius.
I miss these vibes. Prayers for a massive reunion before I expire.
One of my favorite bands. Can't wait for the whole album! I love the two singles.
If the singles are this amazing, then the rest of the album is gonna be unreal. They just keep getting better.

This new album is gonna be amazing
"I bet you can't put a ping pong ball sound effect in a song and make it sound good"
MuteMath: "Hold my beer...."
weatherman102 do you know enrique iglesias that has ping-pong effects? That's so old, mutemath werent the first doing this
Thomas Koo Never said they were, but okay.

Holy Shit! this album is going to slay slay slay! can't wait 'til the Phoenix show!
The intro seems to carry some slight hint of
the Weather Report’s »Black Market« intro. And this is about the best one can say
about this tune.
