I mean... this band! Here in France, looks like I'm the only one listening to MuteMath. Feel like a chili pepper in a corn grain tin box trying to fly with wings of eagles.
I had the pleasure of seeing them during their oddsoul tour.. Roy was just so much fun to watch. He kills it on guitar and several other instruments too!
good question since they could EASILY crossover into mainstream. however they have a cultish following. been listening since their first ep. off the plate!
Sure hope ya inclued "Jasons" studio version as a download... it has such a feel, sound, and personal transference.. for me this has too much freq. separation between parts, and production. Also i miss the "peavey?" Bass Solo!
When it started playing on the podcast, I thought it was Bill singing along to it. Listen to it and pretend it's ol Billy Redbeard, and you'll see what I mean haha
To me, this song represents the opposite of the lyrics. Towards the end, the bassline and the chord progression rarely change, essentially saying that "everything's new" can't always be true. The lyrics fade away and the Stroll on cameo comes on, signalling that it's done. Finished. Stroll on, for if you stay here hoping for change, you'll break. It's a sad song for me, and has now become my favourite in the album.
this is a work of genius, more people will understand that given time.
This is another "push play" album which are rare now days. Just hit that play button, no need to skip any tracks and just vibe. Masterpiece!
well said!. nuff said!!.
Its crazy how little of a following these guys have, They deserve more listens.
I still don't get it...these videos should be in the millions of views...they're amazing.
share their videos on social media. Maybe people will listen.
It's cause they're independent. If they had the same kinda support like Muse for example they'd be just as big if not bigger.
might be the algorithm problem
Yes! Even touring and collaborating with twenty one pilots did nothing. These guys need more attention, I don't want them to be overlooked.
THAT STROLL ON REPRISE, THO?!?! Mutemath is CRAZY. Amazing track!
Stratosphere, every ending of every single song from Play Dead surprises me!
pauls solo version of this is just plain ridiculous!!.
TRUE!
Second best song on album. Paul never ceases to amaze me. His vocals, my god.
agree
ditto!. and they have never won a grammy!!????>
Christopher Xx It’s a damn shame lol.
Ron Dunbar why would they want to? It's a bullshit award obviously
yes i know. but it is genius music!. these guys go the way of so many others. really never recognized for musical talent. someday bro, someday.
..had to re-heat my coffee after listening to this... I forgot it existed!
Mindmelodies lol I do that too
what a great reaction!!. i think this is their best so far.
By far the best song on Play Dead tbh
The last minute of instrumental is the best sounding instrumental ever by Mutemath. Wish is kept going..........
Paul went full Timberlake on this track and I ❤️❤️❤️ IT!!
I have listened to this song approximately 2148791332 times
I'm so tempted to text that because it looks like a Dallas area phone number.
that's it???????????
Watched them live and the energy and the music was on different level, specially Paul. He is one hell of a performer.
Listen to this on a good pair of headphones! Mind blowing stereo mixing going on here!

Where has my life been when this song was released?
omg 2:53 that bass blows my mind. Perfect climbing or doing anything music
ive figured out what makes MM so amazing. ITS THEIR BASSLINES
I had the pleasure of seeing them during their oddsoul tour.. Roy was just so much fun to watch. He kills it on guitar and several other instruments too!
close. with this album the techno sounds are off the plate. but yes, roy had killer bass lines. check out the 6:56 version of control live. shalom.
Shout out to bill burr and his cuz Andrew for dropping this shit to his followers, I'm lovin it
Bill Burr sent me here! Love the vibe. :)
Here thanks to Bill Burr’s Thursday Afternoon Just Before Friday Monday Morning Podcast
geez louieez!!. gimme a stinkin' break!. another work of genius
Man, it's a good song!! Why the F isn't this group uber famous????
good question since they could EASILY crossover into mainstream. however they have a cultish following. been listening since their first ep. off the plate!
This makes me want to go groove on my drums...
just be sure to clean up the jizz when you're done.
@@maxvitality8598 ???????????????????????????????????????????
Bill Burr brought me here, because youtube suggestions weren't going to even though I listen to similar music on UA-cam frequently.
just imagine. A collab of Mutemath and The Omnific.. omg..
I don’t mean any harm, but I like the studio version like 1000x better. That version is insanely superb!
it's definitely more engaging as you see his genius at work.. but they are bot insane.. i think;)
the drums on this one give it that energy
I love that badass groove at 2:54. I think they took it from the "Darren King samples" trailer.
I love that bass drum so much.
thanks for the lyrics!
This is so good omg
amazing!
My ranking
4. Hit Parade
3. Stroll On
2. Everything's New
1. War
Really good track !
So good! Love the vibes
BEST S🌝NG EVER!!
Obra prima!
This track has a How To Dress Well R&B kinda vibe. Fucking awesome.
too good, little funky touch.
will one day hear a sound without synths and electro hacking? pure accoustic ?
Paul is the acoustic instrument
❤
At 0:02 something is spoken and it's panned to the right. Anyone know whats being said?
Richard Davenport didn't hear anything. just some distorted noises maybe?
Darude sandstorm
just sounds like a changing radio stations sample they took
Sure hope ya inclued "Jasons" studio version as a download... it has such a feel, sound, and personal transference.. for me this has too much freq. separation between parts, and production. Also i miss the "peavey?" Bass Solo!

This is fucking great

Lyrics are a heavy sign of Darren leaving. We need DK back on Mutemath...
this blows man
Am I the only one that thinks he sounds like the singer for Studio Killers?
Hello.
Together they were the spice girls.
