My Time as a Nursing Assistant (now I'm a RN)

- Had a commenter recently ask me about my time as a nursing assistant. I thought I had a separate video on this, sorry.
This video isn't about the nitty gritty tasks and responsibilities but rather what I took away from being a NA/tech. Different units have different responsibilities for techs/NAs, even within my own hospital! So I don't want to try to list this or that and it wouldn't even apply to many places/jobs.
I also talk about how valuable their roles are to RNs. I also touch upon how helpful being a NA/tech is for nursing students on becoming a RN.
I'm a 56 yr old former business owner turned nursing student. Love your content! If anyone reading comments wants someone's opinion on your videos..... to you I say: "Start here!" Had I worked as a nursing assistant while doing prerequisites for nursing school, I'm CONVINCED I would've grasped nursing concepts SOONER than I did. In class,I noticed the top students in my classes were nursing assistants! After failing pedes, I immediately trained as an STNA. This was a game changer for me! I'm back in school and surviving! Great video. Can you touch on 'self-care' as a nurse. My body hated me the first 3 months as an STNA. But the 71 yr old who trained ne was a rock⭐️star. I've never loved a job more than I do now (I'm fulltime student/part-time STNA) I just need to take care of my body/eat right, etc. What do you eat? What shift do you like most? Do you do cardio?

i wasn't a LPN. i was a nursing assistant.
but i agree, they are nurses too! same responsibilities to the patient but slightly different scope of practice.
