Very nice Dan. Can you believe it's been 51 years since I last heard you play? We were at the little church in the village of Lakenheath, England. You are still a terrific organist and musician!! Thank you for this sweet moment of nostalgia.
It depends on how much of it you want to make from scratch. Sometimes second-hand ranks of pipes come up cheap on ebay and if they are in good condition they are worth getting to save both time and money in construction.
@pilotoatomico When are you very hard-working, you can build a very small organ (about 50 pipes) for a summer :) I'm building my own pipe organ (99 pipes, 3 registers - Gedackt 4', Flöte 2', Octava 1') and now it is 2 1/4 years since I started.
Jordan R. - It's a hymn tune. can't think of the name but it is usually sung to "Shepherd of Souls in Love Come Feed Us." I think it's called something like "Newmark" or "Neumark."
I play and work on pipe organs and this instrument needs action adjustment...I hear it bouncing at every key release. This instrument should not have been sent to its new owner until that problem was fixed.

What a nice sound the stops have! Would love to hear that in an accoustically complimentary room.
Thanks. Very interesting.
Sweet Organ!
Delightful! wish it was mine :)
*haven't got any money or time to build one though*

Hmm... Flöte 2´ is a little a wide diapason. And the Octava is a diapason too. Octava is from SnPb, Flöte from PbSn, the 7 lowest pipes from wood.
@pilotoatomico woah XD haha it takes a lot of time and patience to build one of this size. It may take even up to 2 years, I've heard.
i want it!
is it hard to make one? I want to build a little one as a summer project xD

What is the name of the first piece?

Any diapasons?

Interesting! Beautiful! What are the stops? It looks like two ranks of Diapason and Flutes.
