Thanks Michael for these wonderful Christmas songs,I have a YAMAHA ELECTON organ but have only one octave of foot pedals.I play almost every night and because we know the words to many of the old hymns I have been singing for 82 years it is a form of worship for me.I enjoy modulating from one key to another as I play by ear.
I feel cozy listening to this wonderful Christmas music performance. In Tokyo Christmas is in the air. The main streets are full of Christmas illuminations I know it's a little early, but 🎀Merry Christmas ㊗️メリークリスマス
Thank you for your home concert on the Allen organ. Both the festive setting and the carols were quite enjoyable. The selections would make a nice prelude for a Christmas Eve church service!
Michael, I can't tell you how much joy your playing, and the warmth of your surroundings, have brought me. I have been listening to you, in a loop, since yesterday. I spent 18 years here, in Oakland, hearing a great organist at my church play the finest literature,, with immaculate musicianship. He was a treasured student of the legendary organist Richard Purvis. Three years ago, my friend passed on, and there has been a big hole in all our hearts, and a great void in the congregation he served for 40 years. Now, the organ is still. Your beautiful playing has revived me, and brought me into the Spirit of Christmas! Thank you so very much. Have a wonderful celebration. Rob, from Oakland, CA.
Michael, I absolutely love Christmas carols, and I've never heard you play before, you are a magnificent organist and musician, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every piece you played. Your organ sounds fantastic. Thank you so much for recording these carols and sharing them on UA-cam. You sure added to my Christmas even though it was a while ago that you recorded this video.
Your organ sounds REALLY nice! I LOVE the tremulants,...they sounded wonderful,...WAY better than that thick sounding tremolo of a Leslie speaker! I haven't found an organ yet,...but I'm hoping to find something like an ADC-2140.2160,or 3160 with external cabinets. I could also make do with an 1140 with built-in speakers!
How beautiful!! I’m so jealous of your at home instrument! My church has a thirty year old Galanti. In my two years as organist I’ve never been able to get it to sound this good!
@@michaellinke1283 Hi Michael, We had relatives in Wilmington. I remember going there when I was little. Lake George also, although only twice there. I was born in Manhattan. Your place looks so cozy. When people come over our house they see the Conn 650 and say, "you don't look like people that would have a large organ in your house". What does that mean?. I guess it's not so cool anymore like it once was when my grandparents had one. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas/Hanukkah, whatever, and a wonderful New Year Ahead.
Hi Michael Man you sound really Great on your Allen Pipe Organ, I used to play Organ a long time ago at a Small Catholic Church but I had to give it up because it was way out of my jurisdiction, Do you play organ at Church? Thank you for making me feel better and Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year, Thanks for Sharing Joseph.
I so enjoyed your beautiful music. May I ask what solo reeds you were using? I have a C12C with Allen Ensemble. There are two presence projector speakers and internals. Unfortunately, there is not enough space for larger external speakers.
Sorry for the late reply just looking at these videos again. The organ has internal speakers (turned down) and 4 HC-15 external speakers plus a bass channel with a B20 subwoofer.
@@michaellinke1283 I’ve been playing 16 years! You have such a beautiful warm home! Love the Set up. I put this on the big speakers and decorated to it!! :) hope to hear more! Take care!
@@percyman7925 yes! I have 2 Allen M5 amplifiers hooked up to 4 big HC-14 speakers and a B40 subwoofer on channel 3. It is voiced for the home but is definitely not underpowered. The AP 4 is a nice model full size pedalboard.. I had a C6C once which is similar to the AP4

Sorry for the delay, just looking at these videos again. The red is the Bugle from the Midi Division II. It's a very nice solo Reed not that harsh.
I’m guessing you’re a church organist because you know to play for real hymn singing. Thanks and thanks🙏
The sound of that organ is incredible!! How many speakers do you have? Are all of them attached to the console?
Sorry for the late reply just looking at these videos again. The organ has internal speakers (turned down) and 4 HC-15 external speakers plus a bass channel with a B20 subwoofer.
Could I trouble you for the source of the sheet music for these pieces? Particularly the arrangement of O Come All Ye Faithful?
The O come all ye faithful is the David Willcocks arrangement.
@@michaellinke1283 Thank you! I've heard that arrangement many times but was never able to find a source. Thank you for your beautiful music.
The Willcocks arrangement is most likely published by Oxford University Press. Any good music retailer should have it.
What model is this organ…it sounds great. I wanted a two manual Allen 217 theater organ…..$52,000!!!!!😱 This organ sounds wonderful!
Stocking Feet?
Of course! That is the way I was taught. Shoes deaden the sensitivity of your feet and make it more difficult to find the correct pedal.
how old is that organ. id love to buy one
Hello, that was a 2000 Allen Protege AP-15. I now have a 2001 Allen Renaissance R-280

What series is your Allen?
It is a protege with Renissance tone generation from 2001
What model...is it an AP 4
It's an AP-15 it has a nice specification. And it's on 3 channels with 5 cabinets.
U have 5 speakers attached in your home?

I live in an apt...so cabinets would have to be down the line...my neighbors would not like the noise.
It’s still not a Hammond
The very first attempt at emulating The Organ? Venerable in its own way...
