They are not ‘silly little mood boards’ they are a beautiful creation from a real passion of yours. I can’t wait to see your bathrooms finished. I love how excited you are! You’re making me happy for our entire house remodel or rebuild (whichever the insurers decide upon). Early today I was feeling overwhelmed at the thought, so thank you for renewing my hope.
I’m an interior designer and let me assure you that we are all growing and evolving. Some may say a design decision is a ‘mistake’ and sometimes you live a design decision through and then would like to change it later. Your house is your canvas, it’s never finished and you can make as many changes as you like! I’ve lived in my house 2 years and I already have new ideas I want to incorporate. 😊

I am the same Lydia when people say magazines are out???? No they are not - we are visual human beings and to see a magazine with all it's richness of information and colour and ideas is magical and so easy to access and cheers you up unlike text or online. Blogs and videos are visual in the same way and so good for the brain to see and to bring joy and inspiration. Loving the green in your en-suites.

Lydia, when you are trying to stencil on a surface that isn't flat, you need to get the repositionable spray adhesive for stencils. This allows you to have a good seal around the edge of the stencil which keeps your paint from bleeding under the edge. Also use the dry brush technique when you paint. I hope this helps you get the finished design you want.
I really admire how you aren't precious about your things, you really live properly into your things.. working with the superglue on your kitchen counter was giving me anxiety 😅, but you are so carefree and delve into things and it's really inspiring

Lydia, I have never known anyone who loves green and has painted their whole house different variation of it. In my Kitchen I have Olive green, just painted my corridor as it is dark a pebble grey, my bathroom use to be Aqua green and I use to be so happy going in there now it is a sky blue which I find really calming. I painted my bedroom pink then realised I did not like it so now I found a grey green colour. The sitting room still deliberating. I live in my house I put and do what I like. It is your house, someone will always have an opinion when you are own social media. In life we all have to live with the decision we make in life
I had my doubts but I love the rich green in the bathroom. Your rooms have a very still life quality. I like this bathroom as much as the pheasant wallpaper half-bath which is very english country to me.

Yellow rattle is a good wild flower seed to incorporate in your wild flower garden .It grows very quickly , easily , spreads fast and it suppresses grass , enabling the wild flowers to flourish.We have had great success using it , in our Meadow , as in time normally the grass takes over and chokes the wild flowers .
You hit a home run with your bathroom renovations. The colors are gorgeous. I would definitely repaint the living in a color tone that will complement the adjacent rooms. Your style has evolved to encompass your love of nature.

The ensuites are looking perfect love the colours you chose and the flooring goes with d style. I think those 2 flower paintings would go nicely on the wall as you enter. I think changing the colour to green in your living room is a great idea, I can just imagine it. Do you still have in mind having a tapestry on the wall in the living room. It will look even better with the room painted green. You both have a lovely house and it's been a pleasure seeing it being transformed to its environment.

"Lena Hoscheck " has amazing modern/classic DIRNDL dresses and also it's my favourite dress designer for 50's inspired dresses but very high quality.
Have you had a look at Salon Drab and also Cardamom paint colours by Farrow and Ball, they would look wonderful in your living room as an dark green brown muddy alternative to black. Lovely video, you seem in such a good mood! Excitement is contagious! 🥰

I had a dog that loved to hide under the furniture. What we didnt know until much later is that he was chewing whatever he could get to under the seating. So tip your furniture back occasionally and check ❤
I have a green living room 😊 everyone loves it. Always surprised they love it 😅 But I also have a large terracotta coloured sofa and timber floors. You should try a coloured sofa. Makes everything pop with the green walls ❤

I very much agree with your thoughts on magazines. Part of me cringes at the thought of our trees and the environmental damages associated with print, but there is nothing like cuddling up with a magazine, dog-earing it, and fantasizing about what to do or create. Learning about new places, stores, and artists that you might still need to learn of...Magical.
