    • ¼ cup salted butter
    • 1 pounds baby spinach leaves
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
    ✅Instructions

    1️⃣ 00:00:08 - Heat a large skillet with lid over medium-high heat. Add in butter and melt.
    2️⃣ 00:00:33 - Add in spinach leaves. Cover with lid and let spinach wilt, 3 to 4 minutes.
    3️⃣ 00:00:49 - Once spinach is wilted, add in garlic and flour and toast 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    4️⃣00:01:11 - Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Liquid should thicken immediately upon simmering.
    5️⃣ 00:01:27 - Turn off the heat and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, or serve with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

    The best thing about her recipe, really her system is the single pan! No paper towels, no draining. No squeezing gadgets....its one of the easiest things to make! Got me!

    Thank you for sharing, it is great.
    For reference, this scales size wise quite well. I only had a 1/4 pound of baby spinach leaves, so reducing all ingrediencies down accordingly, and reducing the heat to medium-low (first time trying) this made the perfect single serve of creamed spinach. OK, full disclosure, I might have gone a bit heavier with the cheese!

    My asian preference would really recommend to stir-fry the garlic first until you can smell it then add the spinach. It'll taste better I promise

    Ive always wanted to try this receipe, but a healthier version. I LOVE spinach so bad. this would be great at thanksgiving or christmas or even easter dinner.

      Use whole milk instead of heavy cream

      Have you tried substituting in oat milk instead, obviously it's not the same, but it is an option.

      @@gdamachustle No, just because I am not well versed in the dairy alternative "milks" yet. I don't really know what to use that would give the same consistency as the heavy cream. Oat milk would be a good substitute?

      @@KzooBeerGirl there is a video of how to make oat milk in UA-cam. All you need is water, oats, and cashews or some kind of nuts. And does look creamy.

    If anyone is looking for healthier version...
    Well I gave a try myself... Guys you could replace all purpose flour with 1 table spoon of corn flour n two table spoon of bread crumbs (powder)
    And replaced cheese with paneer powder..,
    It tasted yummmmm

    Whisk the pre-sifted flour slowly into the heavy whipping cream before adding it to the spinach. Trust me on this. Theres chunks of wet flour in her recipe if you look good. Pretty disgusting imo.
