    Nice little harvest! Finally getting my garden in here. Looks like we're finally out of the frost zone so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll get my tomatoes in this week! Will finish planting my corn and dry pole beans this week. In a couple of weeks the squash will go in! I'm so excited! Lol

    Oh, my goodness! A beautiful harvest early in the season. He in Milwaukee we still have a long way to go before our first harvest so it's really nice to see a green full garden and a wonderful harvest. Great work! Cheers and happy gardening!

      Im guessing you cannot grow lima beans there? Silly but thats always the first thing i think of in colder climates lol.

      @@nutmegknoll That's a good question. To be honest I've never tried. LOL...I may have to give it a whirl next year! Thanks for the idea

      Yeppers! We struggle terribly with those cabbage moths destroying all of our braccias. I put a plea out for help and got this suggestion...and IT WORKS!! a dowel rod driven into the ground...a few moth balls in a piece of panty house put on the top of the dowel with a thumb tack and then thumb tack a solo cup over it all to keep the rain from hitting the moth balls. Essentially the smell chases them off and they do not dissolve!!

    So you think the mothballs in cups is working? I've been wondering since you showed it...we'll be putting our brassicas out soon so I may give it a try, too! When you were picking the black seeded simpson lettuce I was thinking of Wilted Lettuce for supper ;)

    • @nutmegknoll
      @nutmegknoll  5 років тому +1

      Wilted lettuce? Do tell!! The mothball cups...a complete WIN...not one moth has stayed around and usually by now we are swimming in their nasty worms!
